Study of the Pyrrol/Diphenylamine Copolymer by FT-IR spectroscopy and conductivity
Fabiele Cristina Dias,Carlos Alberto Perez,Henrique de Santana
Semina : Ciências Exatas e Tecnológicas , 2004,
Abstract: The main goal of this study was to analyze the physical properties of the copolymer formed by the electrochemical deposition of the polydiphenylamine (PDPA) on polypyrrole (Ppy) and Ppy on PDPA, in different conditions, through the characterization of the materials formed by the resonant Raman, FT-IR and conductivity techniques. The interactions among the species which are present in the new copolymer structure and the changes in electronic conductivity, were verified. The copolymer was also synthesized electrochemically in the presence of iodide species and the material was characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy and conductivity. The role of the dopant was studied in the process of charge transfer between the copolymer-dopant, acting in the stabilization of the species in the polymer backbone and the increase of the electronic conductivity.
Landscapes of the Prehistoric Veneto, Italy. A Plurality of Local Identities Reflected in Cult and Landscape Perception
Sarah De Nardi
Papers from the Institute of Archaeology , 2007, DOI: 10.5334/pia.301
Abstract: This paper explores issues concerning local identity, landscape awareness and social space within the Veneto region in northeast Italy in late prehistory (c. 8th century BC to Romanisation in the 2nd century BC). The theory underpinning this paper and the author’s research owes much to human geography, in endeavouring to ‘rediscover’ a ‘sense of place’ in landscape archaeology, drawing upon data from votive deposits, cemeteries and settlements in the Veneto region. In the search for place-specific significance, this paper will bring to the fore the nonuniform development and local variations in the material culture of the ‘Veneti’, traditionally identified as a single homogeneous ethnic and social unit, and suggest ways to avoid risky generalisations.
Nardi, Henrique Caetano;Rigoni, Rafaela de Quadros;
Cadernos de Saúde Pública , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-311X2009000200017
Abstract: this study mapped and described 11 harm reduction interventions/programs in greater metropolitan porto alegre, rio grande do sul state, brazil, in 2004-2006. mapping was based on interviews and analysis of available documents and comparison with a previous study with data from 2003. we aimed to discuss the programs' sustainability (political, financial, and administrative) and operational characteristics, based on the following categories: type of links in the program or intervention; forms of inclusion in the municipalities; background, financing; typical activities; team hiring practices; volunteer work, if any; resources (human and financial); partnerships; municipal legislation, if any; and participation in forums for political representation. despite the diversity of links and organizational formats, there were some common characteristics: precarious professional status; dependence on volunteer work to implement activities; influence of turnover in municipal and state administration on the continuity of projects and partnerships, as well as on the maintenance of human and financial resources. we conclude that such factors lead to lack of continuity in the services provided to the target population.
Nardi, Henrique Caetano;Rigoni, Rafaela de Quadros;
Psicologia em Estudo , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-73722005000200014
Abstract: scientific literature review shows that harm reduction (hr) articles focus mainly the discussion about the implications of different drug users treatment models and the efficiency of hr with injection drug users. however, there are few studies about hr workers. in this context, the present article aims to discuss the work of outreachworkers, proposing an analysis of how the discursive formations about drugs and aids, in contemporary society, influence the work and the subjectivity of the outreachworkers, as well as the possibilities of having "sustainable projects" as a way to include harm reduction practices in public health services.
Camargo, Eder Pires de;Nardi, Roberto;
Revista Brasileira de Educa??o Especial , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-65382006000200002
Abstract: the present article reports partial outcomes of a study that aimed to verify future high school teachers' performance. a group of undergraduates were taking a course called "teaching practice" where they were required to plan, elaborate and teach, in classroom settings, topics relating to thermology to a class which included students with visual impairments. data that was collected showed that, on the one hand, the main difficulties presented by future physics high school teachers were related to the approach to understanding phenomena in physics in a visually dependent way. on the other hand, these future teachers demonstrated creativity in overcoming passive attitudes relative to this educational problem and were able to develop methodological strategies unhindered by the knowing/seeing relation.
Camargo, Eder Pires de;Nardi, Roberto;
Revista Brasileira de Educa??o Especial , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-65382008000300006
Abstract: this paper is part of a broader study aiming to understand the main alternatives for including students with visual impairments in the context of teaching physics. it analyzes the feasibility of communication between future physics teachers and their students with visual impairments during classes on optics. to this end, the study emphasizes empirical and semantic-sensorial structures of language that need to be used, indicating factors that enable access to information the teacher means to impart. alternatives are recommended in order to enable students with visual impairments to participate as fully as possible in the communicative process. among them we emphasize: the identification of semantic-sensorial structures; understanding the student's visual history; using interdependent empirical tactile-audio language structures in interactive contexts, as well as exploring communicational potentialities of languages made up of empirical structures that are primarily hearing or that have independent audio and visual structures.
Camargo, Eder Pires de;Nardi, Roberto;
Revista Brasileira de Ensino de Física , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S1806-11172007000100018
Abstract: partial outcomes of a study aimed to verify future high school teachers performance during the development of a teaching practice undergraduate course. the student teachers were asked to plan, elaborate and teach, in a classroom situation, optics topics to a class which included visual handicapped pupils. data analysis shows that the main difficulties found by the student physics' teachers are related to which approach will be used to perceive phenomena dependent on vision and also to the need to break away from traditional pedagogy.. on the other hand, as alternatives, future teachers have shown creativity in order to overcome passive aptitudes related to this educational problem, working out methodological strategies that do not require the knowing/seeing relation, as well as, emphasizing oral communication within the physics teaching context.
Pires de Camargo,Eder; Nardi,Roberto;
Abstract: we report here partial outcomes of a study aimed to verify future high school teachers performance when, during the development of a called "teaching practice" undergraduate course, were asked to plan mechanics and modern physics topics to a students class which included visual handicapped pupils. data analyzed show that the main difficulties presented by the future physics high school teachers are related to the approach to know physics phenomena as dependent of vision. by other hand, as alternatives, future teachers showed creativity in order to surpass passive aptitudes related to this educational problem and working out methodological strategies deprived of the relation knowing/seeing.
Pires de Camargo,Eder; Nardi,Roberto;
Abstract: this article is aimed at understanding which the most important difficulties and alternatives to include students with visual impairments in physics classes are. it presents and discusses the difficulties and viabilities of having a born blind student effectively attend electromagnetism classes. using content analysis, this experiment identifies 4 functional classes which might correspond to difficulties and 5 which refer to the viabilities. therefore, the importance of appropriate communicative environments, the including role of the interactivity element, as well as the need for destitution of segregation environments inside classroom, are emphasized.
