Intelligent Stability Design of Large Underground Hydraulic Caverns: Chinese Method and Practice

Abstract: The global energy shortage has revived the interest in hydroelectric power, but extreme geological condition always pose challenges to the construction of hydroelectric power stations with large underground caverns. To solve the problem of safe design of large underground caverns, a Chinese-style intelligent stability design, representing recent developments in Chinese techniques for the construction of underground hydropower systems is presented. The basic aim of this method is to help designers improve the stability and design efficiency of large underground hydropower cavern groups. Its flowchart consists of two parts, one is initial design with an ordinal structure, and the other is dynamic design with a closed loop structure. In each part of the flowchart, analysis techniques, analysis content and design parameters for caverns’ stability are defined, respectively. Thus, the method provides designers with a bridge from the basic information of objective engineering to reasonable design parameters for managing the stability of hydraulic cavern groups. Application to two large underground caverns shows that it is a scientific and economical method for safely constructing underground hydraulic caverns.

Abstract: A case history study on replacement scheme optimization and stability analysis of soft rock mass at a Shuibuya underground power house is presented using the proposed parallel evolutionary neural network FEM. The results indicate that the presented methodology is superior in global searching and quick convergence. The case history study gives the optimum replacement scheme and replacement steps. Through the comparison between the FEM and neural network calculation of the optimum scheme,the methodology is tested to be reasonable. Meanwhile,the rational suggestion is proposed to guide the construction.

Abstract: An evolutionary support vector machine for displacement back analysis is proposed by combining the support vector machine and genetic algorithm. The learning and testing samples produced in orthogonal and equality experiment are used to train the support vector machine whose parameter is determined in global optimal by genetic algorithm. Thus,the support vector machine with optimal parameter is used to describe the relationship between the rock mechanics parameters and displacements. Then genetic algorithm is adopted again to search for the optimal rock mechanics parameters in their global ranges. As an example,a back analysis for elastic and elasto-plastic problem is introduced. The results are satisfactory.

Abstract: Different methods for evaluating slope stability are comprehensively analyzed.The method of support vector machines is proposed for evaluating slope stability and builing predicting model.Based on a large set of slope samples,practical effectiveness of the theory of support vector machines for slope safety prediction is discussed.

渗透环境下化学腐蚀裂隙岩石破坏过程的CT 试验研究

Abstract: 通过CT扫描试验研究渗透及无渗透环境下受化学腐蚀及未受化学腐蚀预制裂隙砂岩的三轴压缩破坏过程,分析试件破坏过程中各层面的CT数变化规律,并对渗透环境下不同试验阶段试验参数的变化规律以及渗透环境对砂岩强度的影响进行分析.试验结果表明,在微裂隙扩展与主裂隙贯通的过程中,对于无渗透环境,由于微裂隙发育导致裂尖处有所密合,之后随着试件的破裂CT数逐步减小;而对于渗透环境,由于孔隙水压力作用,在此过程中裂尖处无密合现象,而是继续开裂,CT数继续减小直至破坏.试件破坏后,无渗透环境下试件破坏时产生的裂隙较单一,而渗透环境下由于渗透作用和孔隙水压力作用,试件破坏时产生的裂隙相对来说较复杂,说明渗透环境对试件的破坏损伤作用较大.在试件变形从应力-应变曲线的线性阶段开始到裂尖破裂阶段,渗透环境的影响对应力以及变形所经历的时间大小起主要决定作用;在试件变形从裂尖破裂到裂隙贯通阶段,应力以及变形所经历的时间受化学腐蚀程度和渗透环境共同影响.渗透环境对砂岩强度的影响非常明显,无渗透环境下试件的强度远大于渗透环境下试件的强度,如试件经浓度为0.01 mol/L,pH值为2的NaCl溶液腐蚀后,其强度只有无渗透环境下的16.6%.

Abstract: 针对高应力下地下工程变形破坏的特点,提出高应力下地下工程稳定性的综合集成智能分析与动态设计优化的新思路,即以工程区域地应力、地质构造特征、高应力下的应力路径改变的岩石(体)变形破坏机制以及与之相对应的模型识别、基于新评价指标(局部能量释放率、破坏接近度)的确定性与不确定性方法结合的围岩稳定性分析、考虑多方面的开挖与全局支护优化、基于现场最新监测和开挖揭示的工程地质信息的动态反馈分析等为主线,给出高应力地区三维地应力场特征识别的新方法、高应力下硬岩本构模型识别的新方法、地下工程安全性评价新方法以及动态反馈智能分析与优化设计方法.该新思路和新方法成功地进行了拉西瓦水电站和锦屏II级水电站地下厂房稳定性的动态反馈分析和设计优化.

Abstract: In the course of building the downstream standardization dike in Yellow River,the method of reinforcing dike with silt was adopted.By far,longitudinal cracks appear in the first stage project in Dongming of Shandong Province,which would endanger the safety of dike.It has huge complex impacts on dike body to reinforce dike with silt,and little study is carried out.There are no quantitative results about the forming cause of crack,so it is very difficult to prevent and deal with radically.By experiment on typical dike section,and theories and methods such as unsaturated seepage,liquid-solid coupling,soak deformation,finite element analysis and so on used to simulate the process of construction,the forming mechanism is analyzed and the main factors are discussed by analyzing several special working conditions.Study shows that the cracking course of dike body can be reflected by simulation;and the results are in accord with the fact.The main factors are reinforcing dike with silt,construction in high speeds,oak deformation,poor drainage,stacking load at the tip of dikei,mpact of vehicle and so on.The results can provide references to building the standardization dike and similar projects.

Abstract: 鉴于高地应力环境下洞室开挖过程中围岩脆性破损行为和破损区内岩体力学性质发生改变的工程事实,并认为岩体破损劣化过程是岩体力学参数降低的过程,提出考虑高地应力硬岩地层中开挖扰动下围岩劣化的硬岩本构模型.该模型的应力-应变关系具有明显的线弹性段、应力跌落段和塑性流动段,其后继屈服面具有随等效塑性应变发生形状和面积改变的特点,可以实现岩体累积损伤过程中力学参数(弹性模量E、黏聚力c、内摩擦角ψ)动态劣化,并可以与目前较广泛使用的岩土工程软件FLAC3D相结合.室内花岗岩三轴压缩试验曲线的拟合和锦屏二级水电站厂房探洞开挖破损区的模拟验证,都说明该模型的正确性和可推广性.

Abstract: 通过分析脆性岩石多轴试验中的强度和破坏规律,在已有研究成果基础上,将其强度和破坏控制类型主要归结为3种:类型1,低静水压力时裂缝张开扩展,主要表现为张性微裂缝控制型脆性破坏;类型2,静水压力很高时,裂缝闭合,主要表现为摩擦滑移控制型延性破坏;类型3,处于两者之间时,微裂缝一部分张开,一部分闭合,主要表现为两者复合控制型脆延破坏.在分析脆性岩石强度的静水压力、中间主应力、最小主应力以及应力Lode角等4种效应的基础上,提出子午面上与Mohr-Coulomb准则包络线自然衔接的广义双曲线型破坏函数及八面体偏平面上光滑角隅型破坏函数,从而建立非线性广义多轴应变能强度准则.该准则包含单轴抗压和抗拉强度,在静水压力较低时,实质上它是Griffith-Murrell准则在多轴应力状态下的一种扩展形式,反映脆性岩石破坏类型1;在很高静水压力下该准则可转化为广义Mises准则,反映脆性岩石破坏类型2;而当静水压力较高时,该准则处于上述两种准则的过渡阶段,反映脆性岩石破坏类型3.最后,通过对不同种类岩石多轴试验结果的验证分析,表明该准则能够较为合理地描述上述4种效应,而且能够反映非线性强度特征和拉压强度的显著区别,可广泛地适用于各种脆性岩石.

Abstract: 以正在进行的大型国际合作项目DECOVALEX-THMC为背景,利用自行开发的弹塑性细胞自动机模拟系统,对开挖损伤区近场模型域进行程序校验(BMT)模拟研究,揭示高放废物从处置开始直至1×106a的演化过程中,裂隙的存在对开挖损伤区力学性能的影响。首先进行的是弹性分析,研究对象包括开挖损伤区近场均质模型和包含复杂裂隙网络的非均质模型域,该裂隙网络是瑞典?sp?硬岩实验室根据裂隙映射得出的真实裂隙网络分布。引入简单的弱化参数表达式,用弱化元胞单元来代表模型中的复杂裂隙网络,以模拟裂隙的软化效应。采用项目指导委员会提供的随时间变化的温度、应力、水流边界条件,模拟地质围岩从开挖、核废物处置、加热100~1×106a的力学演化过程。模拟结果显示,裂隙的存在对应力场、变形场和破坏过程有较大的影响,并将模拟的结果与国际上其他研究小组的模拟结果进行对比,吻合较好,说明该模型和方法的合理性,并可适合于该项目下一步的研究工作。在此基础上,采用弹塑性细胞自动机模拟系统,对裂隙网络模型和均质模型进行弹塑性破坏过程分析,结果表明,由于裂隙的存在,裂隙网络模型的破坏过程更加复杂。
