Performance of Multi-rate Single Cell CDMA Systems with Linear Successive Interference Cancellation

Abstract: Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) can effectively mitigate Multiple Access Interference (MAI) and improve the capacity of Direct-Sequence Code-Division Multiple Access (DS-CDMA) systems. In this paper, for the uplink of a single cell DS-CDMA system, the capacity limits of a conventional single-user detection receiver, a system with linear SIC receiver, and a system with perfect SIC are derived for an Addictive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel. The results show that the linear SIC system can provide a much larger capacity compared with the conventional system in all cases. Moreover, with increasing of the number of the users in the system, the difference between the whole power of the perfect SIC and that of the linear SIC increases. So, if the perfect SIC is used to guide the power allocation, the resulting performance will be significantly worse than predicted.

Abstract: Rumor routing is a routing protocol based on query for wireless sensor networks, the data transmission paths establish by rumor routing were random and not optimal and maybe exit loop. So this paper put forward a rumor routing based on ant colony optimization(RRACO), which had resolved the loop route that established by rumor routing, and had good convergence, comparing with rumor routing. AARCO has more probability of forming a data query path, less energy consumption for data transmission, AARCO is an energy-efficient data query protocol.

Abstract: This paper proposed an improved directed diffusion:Clustered sensor network nodes,propagated query interest from sink node and flooded among cluster headers,cluster headers broadcast interest to their cluster members,cluster members send their sensing datum to cluster headers,cluster headers aggregate the sensing datum and send them to sink node.Simulation experimental results show that the improved directed diffusion is more efficient and has less delay than directed diffusion,and can prolong the lifetime of sensor network,improve efficiency of data query processing.

Abstract: 提出一种能量高效的传感器网络数据查询路由EEDQ(energy-efficient data query),EEDQ以sink节点为根节点,构造最小路由生成树,由sink节点发出查询任务,查询结果由叶子节点向sink节点传输,传输过程中进行数据汇聚.实验表明,EEDQ相比direct transmission,大大提高了传感器网络的生命周期.

Abstract: In order to establish a theoretical basis for compound management of Polygonatum cyrtonema in Phyllostachys edulis forest, we studied the population growth conditions, biomass accumulation and allocation rules of P. cyrtonema at one side upper , middle, and lower slopes in extensive managed and structure consistent Ph. edulis forest. The results showed that population density, leaf chlorophyll values, biomass accumulation of leaves and roots, and biomass distribution pattern of leaves, roots and underground tubers of P. cyrtonema had no significant differences at different slope positions in Ph. edulis forest. Plant height had no significant differences between lower slope and upper slope, while the two slopes were significantly higher than middle slope. Diameter had no significant differences between lower slope and middle slope, while the two slopes were significantly lower than upper slope. Ground stems biomass had no significant differences between middle slope and upper slope, while the two slopes were significantly lower than lower slope. Underground tubers biomass, total biomass accumulation at lower slope were significantly higher than the ones at middle slope, while had no significant differences between the two slopes and upper slope. Biomass distribution pattern of ground stems at lower slope were significantly higher than the one at upper slope, while had no significant differences between the two slopes and middle slope. The biomass distribution patterns of P. cyrtonema were that the underground tubers biomass allocated more than 70% of the total, significantly greater than the sum of roots, leaves, and stem grounds whose biomass allocations were more uniform in Ph. edulis forest at different slope positions. There was obvious slope effect on population growth, biomass accumulation and allocation of Polygonatum cyrtonema in Phyllostachys edulis forest. Under the level of stand structure and operating conditions in test Ph. edulis forest, lower slope was considered to be chosen to carry out compound management of P. cyrtonema in Ph. edulis forest.

Structure and Properties of BST/BZT/BST Multilayer Film

Abstract: Ba 0.6 Sr 0.4 TiO3(BST) thin film, Ba(Zr 0.2 Ti 0.8 )O3(BZT)thin film and Ba 0.6 Sr 0.4 TiO3(BST)/Ba(Zr 0.2 Ti 0.8 )O3(BZT)/Ba 0.6 Sr 0.4 TiO3(BST) (BST/BZT/BST) multilayer thin film were prepared by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) on the LaNiO3 (LNO) coated LaAlO3 (LAO) substrate. All the three kinds of films were characterized by XRD and atomic force microscope (AFM). XRD tests reveal that highquality [00l]oriented films are obtained.AFM results show that the grain size and root mean square (RMS) roughness of BST/BZT/BST sandwich film are similar to that of BST film and BZT film. Compared with BST and BZT film, the BST/BZT/BST film posses the highest figure of merit FOM (42.07), indicating the highly promising potential of BST/BZT/BST film for the application in tunable microwave device.
The Role of Apelin in the Retina of Diabetic Rats

Abstract: Purpose Apelin is a novel adipocytokine participating in diabetes, but its role in diabetic retinopathy (DR) is unknown. Our study aimed to investigate the effect of apelin on the proliferative potential in DR along with its antagonist inhibitory effects. Principal Findings Strong staining of apelin, co-localized with glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) was observed in the retina of diabetic rats. Apelin, GFAP, and VEGF mRNA and protein levels were significantly increased in the sample’s retinas. Moreover, exogenous apelin promoted retinal Müller cell proliferation in vivo. Simultaneously, apelin induced GFAP and VEGF expression. F13A markedly reduced retinal gliosis caused by diabetes. Furthermore, F13A suppressed both GFAP and VEGF expression in vivo. Significance Our results strongly suggest that apelin is associated with the development of DR and contributes to changes in the retinas of diabetic rats. Apelin induced promotion of cell proliferation lends support to the possibility that apelin may play a role in the progression of DR to a proliferative phase. This possible role deserves further investigation, which may offer new perspectives in the early prevention and treatment of DR.

Abstract: 用离子注入的半绝缘GaAs晶片作为吸收体和输出镜 ,在双包层掺镱光纤激光器上实现了调Q锁模 .离子注入的能量为 4 0 0keV的As 离子 ,注入剂量为 1 0 1 6 cm2 ,然后在 6 0 0℃下退火 2 0min .当抽运功率为 5W时 ,脉冲平均输出功率为 2 0 0mW ,调Q包络重复频率为 5 0kHz ,半高宽为 4 μs,锁模脉冲重复频率为 1 5MHz .
