A new three-dimensional chaotic system and its circuit simulation

Abstract: A new three-dimensional chaotic system is reported in this paper, which is different from the Lorenz and Chen systems. This new system contains five system parameters and two quadratic cross-product terms. The basic dynamic properties of the new system are investigated via theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, Lyapunov exponent spectrum, bifurcation diagrams, Lyapunov dimension and Poincare diagrams. The different dynamic behaviors of the new system are analyzed when each system parameter is changed. Finally, the chaotic circuit is designed and realized by the Multisim software. It confirms that the chaotic system can be achieved.

Abstract: 利用完全弹性三维冰雹云模式,模拟研究了初始扰动对积云发生发展的影响。模拟结果表明,对流发生层结条件满足的情况下,不同初始扰动会导致云不同的发生发展。扰动中心位温偏差大小适当,仅增加扰动厚度或降低扰动中心高度均能使积云发展更快、强度更大;适当减小水平扰动半径能促使积云提前发展,但会导致对流强度减弱;而增大扰动中心位温偏差,不但能增加对流强度,还能促使积云提前发展。
A new fractal algorithm to model discrete sequences

Abstract: Employing the properties of the affine mappings, a very novel fractal model scheme based on the iterative function system is proposed. We obtain the vertical scaling factors by a set of the middle points in each affine transform, solving the difficulty in determining the vertical scaling factors, one of the most difficult challenges faced by the fractal interpolation. The proposed method is carried out by interpolating the known attractor and the real discrete sequences from seismic data. The results show that a great accuracy in reconstruction of the known attractor and seismic profile is found, leading to a significant improvement over other fractal interpolation schemes.

Propagation properties of one-dimensional off-axis Gaussian beams through the turbulent atmosphere

Abstract: The propagation properties of one-dimensional off-axis Gaussian beams through the turbulent atmosphere are studied in detail. The propagation equation of intensity is derived. It is shown that one-dimensional off-axis Gaussian beams in turbulent atmosphere undergo three stages of evolution with increasing propagation distance z, i.e., their saw-tooth beam profile is similar to the initial one in the near field, then becomes a flat-topped profile with increasing z, and at last turns into Gaussian-like profile in the far field. The turbulence accelerates the evolution of the stages which one-dimensional off-axis Gaussian beams undergo. Furthermore, the normalized intensity distributions of one-dimensional off-axis Gaussian beams with different beam numbers become close to each other due to turbulence. In addition, one-dimensional off-axis Gaussian beams with higher beam numbers are less sensitive to the effects of turbulence than those with lower beam numbers, and one-dimensional off-axis Gaussian beams are less sensitive to the effects of turbulence than Gaussian beams.
Preliminary Study on E. coli Microbial Fuel Cell and On-electrode Taming of the Biocatalyst

Abstract: A mediator microbial ruel cell(MFC)was constructed by using E.coil as biocatalyst and new methylene blue as electron mediator.E coli cells were carried out in anaerobic growth prior to inoculating them into the MFC in order to pre-adapt bacterial metabolism in an anaerobic environment,the electricity generation of MFC Was tested,its maximum power density reached 263.94 mW/m2 with the corresponding current density 1 287.50 mA/m2.the internal resistance of MFC was 200 Ω.and capability of the MFC was even better than those reported so far.Moreover,on-electrode taming method was adopted to improve electrochemical activity of E.coli.namety a combination of E.coli taming and electricity generation simultaneously in the same MFC without scraping off the biofilm of MFC,after the 4th on-electrode taming,the tamed E.coli MFC showed a 54%improvement in peak current density,being 612.50 mA/m2.and a 64%improvement in the maximum poweroutput,behag 166.67mW/m2.compared with that of parental E coli MFC.And the maturation time of tamed biofilm Was obviously duced to 240 min,quickening up l times compared with that of parental E coli biofilm.Kev words:microbial fuel cell;E.coli;taming;biofilm
Needle Segmentation in US Images Based on Real-time Gray-scale Hough Transformation

Abstract: Real-time needle segmentation and tracking are very important technique in image-guided surgery, biopsy, and therapy.We proposed a needle segmentation technique based on a Real-Time Gray-Scale Hough Transform (RTGHT), which is composed of an improved Gray Hough transformation using phase-grouping algorithm with the coarse-fine searching strategy.Furthermore, the RTGHT technique was evaluated by patient breast biopsy images.Experiments with patient breast biopsy ultrasound (US) image sequences showed that our approach can segment the biopsy needle in real time with the angular rms error of about 1° and the position rms error of about 0.5 mm on an affordable PC com-puter without the help of specially designed hardware.It can be applied in image-guided surgery and therapy.

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a new geometric registration algorit hm which can register multi-view range data of 3D free-form object efficiently . This method is based on the Iterative Closest Point(ICP) algorithm, but adding a restriction to the corresponding points in estimation of optimal rotation mat rix. Further more, we takes a membership of weighting value to points of 3D surf ace reconstructed using structure lighting to reduce the reconstruction error in fluence to the registration. The experiments demonstrate the feasibility of our approach.

Abstract: The title complex, {[Co2(C9H4N2O4)2(H2O)4]·3H2O}n, was synthesized hydrothermally. The unique CoII ion is coordinated in a distorted octahedral coordination environment by two water molecules and three symmetry-related 1H-benzimidazole-5,6-dicarboxylate (Hbidc) ligands. The Hbidc ligands coordinate via a bis-chelating and mono-chelating carboxylate group and by an imidazole group N atom, bridging the CoII ions and forming an extended two-dimensional structure in the ab plane. In the crystal structure, intermolecular N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen bonds connect complex and solvent water molecules, forming a three-dimensional supermolecular network. One of the solvent water molecules lies on a twofold rotation axis.
