Os exílios da linhagem dos Pacheco e sua rela??o com a natureza de suas vincula??es aos Castro (segunda metade do século XIV)
Fernandes,Fátima Regina;
Cuadernos de historia de Espa?±a , 2008,
Abstract: in this essay we intend to discern the motivations in the movements of the pachecos' lineage envoys between the kingdoms of portugal and castile during the second half of the 14th century. through the analysis of the pachecos' pretensions, even during their several exiles, we find an interesting connection between them and the castros' lineage in portugal. we carry out a demonstrative analysis of the nature of medieval political relations, based on the verification that the castros' pretensions were maintained as a remote cause, supported by the trastámaras' interests and by the discontent portuguese in exile. the iberian medieval political society would use these pretensions on its own benefit, but always trying to leave the impression that they were in the defense of the infantes' well-being. this cause became a core of resistance to the portuguese monarchy interests in castile.

Fátima Regina Fernandes
Revista da Faculdade de Letras : Historia , 2006,
Abstract: In this work we seek to analyse the superimposition of the legitimate and first-born branch of the Pereiras, in the second half of the 14th century, by the illegitimate collateral branches, mainly through two individuals. After the disappearance of these protagonists of the Portuguese socio-political scene, one verifies that their projection occurs in later times by means of the historiographical sources.

Future Studies Research Journal : Trends and Strategies , 2010, DOI: 10.7444/future.v1i2.38
Abstract: This work addresses an entrepreneurial phenomenon of strategic administration within the automobile industry: the creation of the automaker Troller Veículos Especiais (TVE). The case study at hand is justified by the positioning of this company around two market niches and its relative success in an industry characterized by few and powerful players. Our aim was to analyze the entrepreneurial and strategic process of discovering opportunity, the analysis used for internal and external factors, and the adoption of its strategic positioning in exploring two automobile market niches: in the B2B market, vehicles adapted to specific operational functions; and in the B2C, off-road vehicles with a strong appeal to consumers’ life styles. This case study allowed us to visualize the challenging path of a genuinely Brazilian small company in a sector dominated by large multinational groups, besides demonstrating decision-related dilemmas and aspects related to managerial creativity. Key-words: Automobile industry. Case study. Strategic entrepreneurship. Discovery theory. Strategic positioning. Este trabalho trata de um fen meno empreendedor sob a ótica da administra o estratégica na indústria automobilística: a cria o da montadora Troller Veículos Especiais (TVE). Turcato, Marlene de Fátima;Fernandes, Regina Maria Fran?a;Wichert-Ana, Lauro;Funayama, Carolina Araújo Rodrigues;
Arquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S0004-282X2005000200034
Abstract: valproic acid has been widely used for the treatment of epilepsy. although it is usually well tolerated, it has been associated with some side effects. a poor studied side effect is the hyperammonemia, which independs from the drug hepatotoxic action. the hyperammonemia may occurs just after the beginning or during the treatment and is characterized by vomiting, progressive impairment of consciousness, focal neurologic signs and increased seizure frequency. we report boy a 6 year-old boy who presented with hyperammonemia during the use of valproic acid within the therapeutic range. complementary investigation was negative for aminoacidopathy, organic acidemia and urea cycle disorders. the hypothesis of secondary effect to the valproic acid was reinforced by the normalization of ammonia levels after drug withdrawal. the pathogenesis of valproate-induced hyperammonemia have been discussed. we conclude that routine monitoring of ammonia blood concentration are strongly recommended in patients under valproic acid treatment.

OPROMOLLA, Diltor Vladimir Araújo;MADEIRA, Suzana;BELONE, Andréa de Faria Fernandes;VILANI-MORENO, Fátima Regina;
Revista do Instituto de Medicina Tropical de S?o Paulo , 1999, DOI: 10.1590/S0036-46651999000600005
Abstract: sixty-four isogenic swiss mice were intradermically inoculated in both hind foot pads. the inocula, consisting of fungal suspensions from biopsies obtained from jorge lobo?s disease patients, had the total number of fungi and the viability index determined using a neubauer chamber and the fluorescein diacetate-ethidium bromide technique (fd-eb), respectively. the animals were sacrificed at times ranging from ten days to eighteen months after inoculation. the cellular infiltrate, mainly consisting of macrophages containing fungi, increased progressively up to end of the study; however, no macroscopic alterations were observed in the inoculated feet. after nine months, small numbers of langhans? giant cells started to appear in the infiltrate. a considerable number of fungi was observed at the end of the experimental period, but only a few were viable when stained by the fd-eb technique. this fact suggests that there is a multiplication of fungal cells, which are destroyed by the macrophages but remain in the tissue for a long time due perhaps to the difficulties in their elimination. these findings led us to conclude that in spite of the maintenance of the infection in these animals, swiss mice cannot be considered an ideal model to study jorge lobo?s disease. however, the authors call attention to the possibility of other mouse strains being more susceptible to paracoccidioides loboi.

Texto & Contexto - Enfermagem , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-07072010000300007
Abstract: health promotion has been more and more incorporated into nursing as an integral element of its action scope, acting upon the determinants of the health-disease-care process. the goal of this study is to analyze the historic evolution of the concept of health promotion as expressed in letters on health promotion. to do so, concept analysis has been employed via rodgers' evolutionary perspective, emphasizing essential attributes, previous events, consequential events, and related concepts. the results indicate that the concept of health promotion is being amplified, influenced by international movements to reduce iniquities. the evolution of the original ottawa formulation to recent documents has been its enrichment, adopting fundamental strategies towards health promotion, from a defense of health to the identification of actions and commitments towards reaching the health determinants in a globalized world, in bangkok. the use of a concept analysis model allowed for clarification, making it possible to elaborate theoretical formulations in the areas of health care, especially nursing.

Texto & Contexto - Enfermagem , 2010,
