Esteve, Cesc
Talia Dixit : Revista Interdisciplinar de Retórica e Historiografía , 2008,
Abstract: This article studies the formation of Early Modern historiography through examining the theories, methods and functions of one of its most conspicuous and relevant types, that which investigates the origins of historical entities and facts. By focussing both on the artes historicae and on a wide range of accounts about the foundation of cities, the invention of arts or the causes of wars, this article illustrates how Renaissance writers construct a scientific paradigm which sanctions the ideological, philosophical and rhetorical forms, purposes and values of the narrative of the origins and allows to understand that it is precisely because of its principles and methods that this kind of stories are so characteristic of Early Modern historiography.
Vicente Esteve
Revista de Análisis Económico (RAE) , 2004,
Abstract: In this paper we use a endogenous growth model with productive publicpar capital to investigate the degree to which observed Spanish fiscal poli-cies can account for slowdown in the growth rates of labor productivity since 1970. The model implies a long-run relationship exists between the labor productivity, the ratio of public-to-private capital, the average tax rate, and the stock of private capital per employee. The model is estimated for Spanish economy, using annual data for the period 1964-1997.
Marisol Esteve
Revista IDeAS : Interfaces em Desenvolvimento, Agricultura e Sociedade , 2010,
Abstract: This article is fitted in the frame of a project of doctoral research that is realized in Traslasierra's Valley, in the province of Cordoba (Argentina). In this research we started by considering that, as reaction opposite to the application of agrarian policies of neoliberal court so much state level as to regional level there arise social movements of rural base, appearing the above mentioned processes of social mobilization as part of a major studding that includes processes of similar characteristics in the whole Latin America. For the boarding of this subject matter it turns out necessary to realize an analysis of diverse theoretical frames across which the social sciences approach the problematics of the processes of social mobilization. The aim will be to realize a first state of the question that it inspects some of these theories, marking similarities and differences in the manners in which the diverse authors approach the subject matter of the social mobilization.

Esteve, J.
Estudios Geologicos , 2009, DOI: 10.3989/egeol.39860.061
Abstract: Enrolled Conocoryphe heberti is described with detail and compared with the conocoryphid Occatharia sdzuyi, both very abundant in the middle Cambrian from the Mediterranean subprovince. Both show different morphological novelties very useful to enrol and interlock the trilobite body. The morphological study allows us to recognize coaptative devices that show the possibility of a tight encapsulation enrolment. The coaptative devices are analyzed in cephalons, pigidia and almost completed outstretched trilobites of Bailiella levyi, Bailiaspis souchoni and Parabailiella languedocensis belonging to the same family. The coaptative structures analyzed show enough variability in cephalons and pigidia that allow suggesting several enrolment types within conocoryphids.
Relative Bioavailability of DL and L-Methionine in Broilers  [PDF]
Enric Esteve-Garcia, Daulat Rehman Khan
Open Journal of Animal Sciences (OJAS) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/ojas.2018.82011
Abstract: Studies on the relative bioavailability (RBV) of DL-Methionine (DL-Met) to L-Methionine (L-Met) have produced variable results. An experiment was conducted to determine the RBV of DL to L-Met. A total of 2268 1-day old male chicken were housed in 54 floor pens (42 bird/pen). There were 9 treatments (6 repetitions) including the basal diet (BD). The BD was deficient in Met content with 0.27, 0.26 and 0.25 in the starter, grower and finisher periods respectively. Four levels of experimental diets for each DL-Met and L-Met were created by supplementing 0.05%, 0.10%, 0.15% and 0.20% of DL- or L-Met to the BD. The feeding program consisted of starter (0-14 d, 21% CP and 2900 kcal ME/kg), grower (15 - 28 d, 20% CP and 3000 kcal ME/kg) and finisher period (29 - 37 d, 18.5% CP and 3050 kcal ME/kg). Chickens and feed were weighed at the end of each age period. Regression coefficients of a common plateau asymptotic regression were used to calculate RBV. Birds responded to gradual increase in Met levels, BW, FCR and ADG were significantly (P < 0.05) higher in treatment groups as compared to control. Through the study period (37 d), the RBVs of DL-Met for BW and FCR were 89 and 77 respectively.
