El Fibrinógeno: Factor de Riesgo Cardiovascular
Espinosa,Raúl A;
Investigación Clínica , 2002,
Abstract: this paper demonstrate that plasmatic fibrinogen is a risk factor for ischaemic cardiovascular disease. apart from its hemostatic functions, it has an important role in the atherothrombotic process. prospective studies in a normal population and on patients with pre-existent cardiovascular disease demonstrate that fibrinogen is a predictor of cardiovascular events, either as first episode or recurrence. it is also reviewed a epidemiological study which is been carried out in venezuela as a pilot study for latinamerica because our population is different from those where the studies have been performed up to now. it is also mentioned the factors that influence the fibrinogen levels, some of them can be modified which could be useful for the prevention of the disease. it is considered the necessity of further studies to evaluate the benefit of the control of the fibrinogen level.
Study of deposited energy in lung tissue from radon's progeny calculated by Monte Carlo

Revista mexicana de física , 2011,
Abstract: because the deposited 222rn progeny distribution in lung airways, these sources can contribute hardly to critical cells absorbed dose in neighbourhood of alpha track by the alpha particles from 218po and 214po. according to epidemiological data [1], lung cancers are primarily bronchogenic and mainly originate in the first five airway generations of the bronchial tree. generally for deposited energy calculations, uniform deposit in source layers and the whole layers as sources has been considerated too. discretional point deposits in the diferent and most important bronqui (bb) and bronchial (bb) layers for main generations is a more realistic case. because that facts we have calculated the average deposited energy by monte carlo in the most important different target cell layers for the main bb and bb branch generations considering the radioactive 222rn progeny puntual deposit in the source epithelium walls, from this location, it irradiate the neighbor cells in all directions.

CENTROS HISTóRICOS, PROCESOS URBANOS Y PLANEACIóN URBANA EN MéXICO
Salvador García Espinosa
Quivera , 2008,
Study of deposited energy in lung tissue from radon's progeny calculated by Monte Carlo

Raúl A. Espinosa
Salus Online , 2010,
Abstract: Chagas disease is one of the main public health problems today in Central and South American countries. Patients infected with Trypanosoma cruzi who develop severe myocardial damage have a high risk of mortality from heart failure or sudden death. The continuous presence of low loads of the parasite, the immune response, alteration of the coronary microvasculature, and heart disautonomy are the proposed mechanisms explaining the development of a cardiomyopathy in the chronic phase. Other investigations suggest that the abnormalities of the parasympathetic nervous system and sympathetic prevalence present in Chagas cardiopathy are preceded by myocardial damage, similarly as in other cardiopathies in dilated phase, where this neurohumoral activation would contribute to theprogress of the cardiomyopathy; and that favorable results in the natural course of the illness can be obtained with the use of medication for the control of this activity. Currently, there are few studies assessing the benefits of medications for the treatment of heart failure in Chagas cardiomyopathy, but evidence from randomized follow-up and observational studies suggests that medications such as angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, beta blocker adrenergic and antiarrhythmics like amiodarone, among others, are effective and safe for the treatment of this cardiopathy.
El Fibrinógeno: Factor de Riesgo Cardiovascular Fibrinogen: a cardiovascular risk factor.
Raúl A Espinosa
Investigación Clínica , 2002,
Abstract: En la presente revisión se muestra la evidencia de que el fibrinógeno plasmático se constituye como un factor de riesgo en el desarrollo de las enfermedades cardiovasculares, donde además de sus funciones en la hemostasia, el fibrinógeno cumple un papel importante dentro del proceso de aterotrombosis. Se muestran estudios prospectivos en grupos poblacionales y en sujetos con enfermedad vascular pre-existente, que evidencian al fibrinógeno como un predictor de riesgo para episodios cardiovasculares iniciales y recurrentes; además de un estudio epidemiológico que actualmente se realiza en Venezuela, que puede servir como estudio piloto en Latinoamérica, dado que las características de nuestra población son diferentes a los países de donde provienen los primeros estudios. Se destacan los factores que influyen en los niveles del fibrinógeno plasmático, donde muchos de ellos son modificables lo cual permitiría una prevención de la enfermedad aterotrombótica. A pesar de no existir medicamentos específicos para reducir sus niveles, se plantea la necesidad de incluirlo en futuros estudios de intervención, donde se evaluaría el beneficio de controlar sus niveles plasmáticos en los individuos con riesgo de presentar enfermedad cardiovascular. Santana Espinosa,María Cecilia;
Revista Cubana de Salud Pública , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0864-34662009000100008
Abstract: the present state of the child′s health in cuba results from the revolutionary government's policies implemented throughout the last 50 years. this article was aimed at identifying the main events in the national social context and health sector that brought about changes in the health status of children and adolescents in cuba after the triumph of the revolution in 1959. the methodology included documentary review and the criteria expressed by some of the participants in these events. it was concluded that comprehensive health of this sensitive population group shows a positive and sustained progress.
