Qualidade de vida de clientes pós-infarto agudo do miocárdio

Abstract: this study evaluates the quality of life of clients who suffered myocardial infarction. the sample consisted of 30 clients selected by search in medical records of a cardiac unit, which let us to identify and locate these clients, admitted in the year 2004. for the data collection was used the quality of life scale of flanagan and the statistic with standard deviation treatment. the results showed a bigger index of answers in the "indifferent" to "little satisfaction" levels in their quality of life. the interpersonal relation showed the higher index of satisfaction, against the physical and material wellness, with the lowest index of satisfaction. it was concluded that the client's quality of life evaluation that suffered myocardial infarction is compromised, witch comes to confirm other previous studies that was carried trough.

As health professionals, researchers and social subjects who transform the reality by scientific investigations we have responsibilities and try to make thoughtful studies which benefit society and nursering. Those studies have as main focus the care ruled on prevention, promotion e recovery of the population’s health.

Abstract: the study aimed at investigating the nurses' administration points of view concerning managing activities in the hospital macro-system, based on the administration contingent theory. a group of 9 nurses responsible for the administration of nursing services at 6 reference hospitals in fortaleza/ceara, participated of the study. data were assessed by means of free interview techniques, from august to december 2001. the results suggest that the administrative approach focused the development of leadership and control activities. the interview outcomes reveal that nursing administration in a hospital macro-system was not perceived as an easy task, but feasible nevertheless. the greatest difficulty seemed to be due to a poor reflexive practice about the nurse's administrative attributions.
Challenges in the assistance of nursing to the aged in the postoperative of cardiac surgery

Abstract: Objective: to identify the scientific production of nursing assistance to the elderly in the postoperative period of cardiac surgery when it comes to health care made to lessen the pain. Methods: literature search of the last eight years (2001-2008) of scientific production of nursing contained in databases LILACS, and BDENF SCIELO, using the keywords: thoracic surgery, postoperative, elderly, nursing care and pain - get up 30 scientific articles, which were selected thirteen research which has about the nursing care provided to elderly client in postoperative cardiac surgery, referring care to alleviate the pain. Results: a multimodal approach is indicated by articles such as effective strategy for prevention and control of postoperative pain, which includes technical and non-pharmacological drug. The technique uses pharmacological anti-inflammatory painkillers are the non-hormonal and morphine, the central and peripheral action. And the non-pharmacological, which are independent of prescriptions, are as physical therapy, application of heat, cold and massage, and the cognitive-behavioral techniques such as muscle relaxation, distraction and imaginatively directed. Conclusion: The therapeutic approach of pain relief should be given in an appropriate manner, because many elderly omit themselves to report it, because they found part of aging. Therefore, it is emphasized the importance of the actions of nurses, in addition to its participation in the evaluation of pain, the decision-making about the conduct of prevention and relief of pain in the elderly in postoperative cardiac surgery.

Abstract: this study aimed to know the meaning of humanized care give to patients in intensive therapy, from the perspective of seventeen health professionals who worked at the intensive therapy unit of a philanthropic hospital in the metropolitan region of sobral city - ceára, brazil. the data was collected through an instrument with the following question: what does humanized care mean to you? three analytic categories emerged from data: emotional comfort; physical comfort and professional commitment, whose analysis reveals the improvement of care, which is not configured in technological advances, but in personal values, in the understanding of the true meaning of care, the orientation of care towards physical and emotional comfort, associated with care aimed at relieving pain; care with commitment, applying humanistic practice. it is concluded that the humanistic care process makes professionals reflect about their personal and academic attitudes, always strengthening team work.

Abstract: this study focused the case of a child admitted to hospital in an intensive therapy paediatrics unit, to identify factors that interfere on his sleep and rest. we used as method for data collection the participant observation, over the procedures done and the way of the child care in the multiprofessional team. the results denote that sleep and rest were interrupted in 25 minutes intervals, showing the need and the deprive of the sleep under those circumstances. we concluded that the assistance of children who needs intensive care must be looking for their individual necessities using for that an humanistic approach which implies in joints formation, professional interdisciplinarity, searching the wholeheartedly, the unit and interdependence.
A convivência da família com o portador de Síndrome de Down à luz da Teoria Humanística

Abstract: the objective of this study was to socialize the process of coexistence of the family of the bearers of syndrome of down based in the humanistic theory of paterson and zderad. the study was realized with a research of descriptive exploratory character, with a qualitative approach and participant observation. it was accomplished in apae / sobral-ce, with the use of group dynamics and a guided interview for collection of data. the results showed us that the parents don't have difference between a normal son and a special one; the treatment is the same, with a lot of love, affection, understanding and respect, however a lot of times they find some difficulties in taking care, as the communication and the feeding. we also observed that the family is very important, necessary, so that the coexistence with the bearer becomes more and more natural in spite of a society that, a lot of times, still has prejudice.

Abstract: this study aimed to verify the acceptance of the "bornalready"chair for customers and to reflect on the implications of this equipment during the gestational period. the study is exploratory, descriptive, and has a quantitative approach. the study was developed in a health center of fortaleza where, to make the implantation of a new assistance model, the researches turned to the humanization of the prenatal assistance and the use of the obstetric "born already"chair possible, a room was built with appropriate physical space. pregnant women between 15 and 40 years-old that didn't refer to pathological antecedents, and that apparently vaginal childbirth was not inadvisable for bringing on life risk to themsalves or to the fetus; that didn't have contraindication for physical exercises and that participated, at least, in eight sessions of exercises in the bornalready" chair during the gestational period were selected for inclusion in the study. at the end of their participation each pregnant woman in the investigation evaluated the male nurse team that gave humanized assistance during the prenatal, using the obstetric "bornalready" chair. it was concluded that the acceptance of the obstetric "bornalready" chair as a piece of equipment for the accomplishment of exercises by pregnant women is viable and well-accepted for customers.

Abstract: the study aimed at analyzing the self-care deficit theory adjustment, focusing on the atmosphere and the home care provider. authors adopted the barnum's model that suggests questions on the use of its concepts, seeking for its interrelations and scope. the answers to those questions were based on the self-care deficit theory applied to a real situation, observed in home care visits occurred in the second semester of 2000 to a paraplegic patient, whose care was provided by this wife and the family health nursing team. authors found minimal adjustment conditions for home care, considering the environment and the care providers. they considered, comparatively, that the chosen theory may be directed to the care of patients in home hospitalization under the supervision of a nurse.
Avalia o da aceita o da cadeira nasce já pelas gestantes

Abstract: Objetivamos comprobar la aceptación de la silla obstétrica Nace ya por las mujeres embarazadas y evaluar las implicaciones de ese equipamiento durante la gestación. El estudio fue de tipo experimental y natureza cuantitativa. Se desarrolló en un Centro de Salud de Fortaleza, para la implantación de un prenatal humanizado y para utilizarse la silla Nace Ya , se construyó una sala adecuada. Fueron incluidas en el estudio mujeres embarazadas de 15 y 40 a os de edad, que refirieron no presentar antecedentes patológico, y para ellas, el parto vaginal no fue desaconsejable, las que no tuvieron contraindicación para la realización de actividades físicas y que participaron por lo menos de ocho reuniones en la silla durante la gestación. Fue solicitado que las mujeres embarazadas evaluasen al equipo que brindó asistencia humanizada y utilizó la silla Nace Ya . Se concluye que la utilización de la silla obstétrica Nace Ya como um equipamiento para la realización de actividades para las mujeres embarazadas es viable y aceptable por las clientes.
