The method of Pleiads: a formalism to facilitate learning scenarios transferability and instrumentation
Emmanuelle Villiot-Leclercq
STICEF , 2007,
Abstract: Our work is situated in the context of TEL (Technology Enhanced Learning) research. It concerns more particularly the instrumented educational design and scenarisation field. In this context, our research problem was the expression modalities of learning scenarios which would allow a scenario to be easily reusable by teachers and educational designers. Our research methodology is based on a double approach: a modelling approach and a user centered approach. It aims at the elaboration of theoretical models in interaction with the educational practitioners and it integrates evaluations at the different modelling stages. We present in this article two additional researches: an exploratory research on formalisms for the expression of the scenarios which led to us to the construction of a method, the method of Pleiads, which allows the explicitation of the teachers’ intentions and facilitates the learning scenario transferability.

[English] The adoption by the European Community of the European Qualification Framework (EQF, 2008) has refocused the education and training on the qualification of competences. To operationalize this goal, the academic community must adopt integrated pedagogical systems. OpenScenario and OpenSyllabus jointly offer a possible solution by providing a set of tools to create, manage and publish structured course websites as well as scenario based activities for learning and assessment leading to formal qualifications to be posted on professional social networks.

[English] The ACTEURS research project (Collective activities and tutoring in higher education : Realities, scenarios) has focused on the actors’ practices within the framework of distance or hybrid learning environments in higher education, as well as in the use of artefacts. It aims at defining and analysing instrumented collective learning situations (SACI). The question of SACI scenarising takes place in a process of reuse and mutualization of practices, made possible by the use of telelearning platforms. Our study allows to characterize the SACI and to track down the need of scenarising the collaboration. We propose an iterative approach to express and reuse a scenario of SACI. First of all, we use a scenario-type for specific educational activities. Then we express it according to the Pleiades formalism which allows the translation of the scenario in an educational modelling language to implement it on a telelearning platform.

This article suggests marking certain theoretical approaches concerning the disparities of the chances. According to the disciplinary membership within the social sciences, to see especially social prevalencia the approaches where the question of the territory is often slanted. We shall analyze the means of the knowledge of this reality of the disparities of the chances compared to territories, the means of the statistical production, by the approaches of the Cereq. We shall show how this question of the choices of route and fight against the defeat is approached on the scale of a university, by taking the example of certain initiatives realized notably in Champagne Ardenne so showing the complexity of an objective knowledge.

Abstract: AIM: To investigate the polymorphic simple sequence repeat in intron 1 of the epidermal growth factor receptor gene (EGFR) (CA-SSRI), which is known to affect the efficiency of gene transcription as a putative target of the mismatch repair (MMR) machinery in colorectal tumors.METHODS: The CA-SSR I genotype was analyzed in a total of 86 primary colorectal tumors, selected upon their microsatellite instability (MSI) status [42 with high frequency MSI (MSI-H) and 44 microsatellite stable (MSS)] and their respective normal tissue. The effect of the CA-SSR I genotype on the expression of the EGFR gene was evaluated in 18 specimens using quantitative real-time reverse transcription PCR and immunohistochemistry.RESULTS: Mutations in CA-SSR I were detected in 86% (36 of 42) of MSI-H colorectal tumors and 0% (0 of 44) of MSS tumors, indicating the EGFR gene as a novel putative specific target of the defective MMR system (P < 0.001). Impaired expression of EGFR was detected in most of the colorectal tumors analyzed [6/12 (50%) at the mRNA level and 15/18 (83%) at the peptide level]. However, no association was apparent between EGFR expression and CA-SSR I status in tumors or normal tissues.CONCLUSION: Our results suggest that CA-SSRI sequence does not contribute to the regulation of EGFR transcription in colon, and should thus not be considered as a promising predictive marker for response to EGFR inhibitors in patients with colorectal cancer.
La Public Diplomacy : de John F. Kennedy à Tony Blair Public Diplomacy: From John F. Kennedy to Tony Blair
Vanessa Leclercq
Revue LISA / LISA e-journal , 2009, DOI: 10.4000/lisa.2051
Abstract: Public diplomacy was first implemented under the impulsion of John F. Kennedy and Edward R. Murrow by the United States Information Agency in the 1960s. This article emphasizes the critical role of public diplomacy in the fight against communism as well as the way the British authorities resorted to this concept almost forty years later to offer public opinion abroad a more modern and efficient image of the UK. In this perspective, it is legitimate to observe the evolution of both technology and the various media as well as to focus on Edward R. Murrow and Mark Leonard, Murrow’s British counterpart. Far from being mere communication, public diplomacy consists in the actual representation of a country’s policies and core values, and can therefore not avoid being assimilated to propaganda, even if it serves the noble purpose of information, not disinformation.

An??lisis filos?3fico , 2005,
Abstract: in a letter concerning toleration, john locke argues in favor of religious toleration positing that the state cannot make a person's life better by forcing that person to live according to beliefs he refuses. more recently, ronald dworkin and will kymlicka have developed similar arguments. in the first case, against some paternalistic policies; in the second, in support of the liberal ideal of state neutrality. my aim in the present paper is to analyze the plausibility of these arguments conceived as a defense of liberal neutrality. i will prove that both versions of the argument fail. in section ii, i will object the argument's capability to support the conclusions it attempts to establish, without raising doubts about the reliability of its premises. in section iii, i will submit three objections against the conception of critical well-being that constitutes the core of both versions of the argument.
