Constraints on School Based Management Compliance of Public Schools Principals  [PDF]
Elysha S. Alvarado, Francis Ann R. Sy, Cerenio Adriatico
Open Access Library Journal (OALib Journal) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/oalib.1105454
Abstract:
This study explored how school principals, head teachers, and school heads are coping with the constraints of successfully implementing different programs and activities that are in compliance with the school-based management of RA 9155 as these leaders are oftentimes confronted with voluminous work and encountered a lot of difficulties as they carry out to their administrative and supervisory functions. These competing demands lead to a clear gap between the aspirational and the actual performance in their respective schools. It utilized a descriptive-normative design in con-ducting the study where 50 respondents were randomly selected and were requested to complete a modified instrument of the Performance Appraisal System for School Administrators (PASSA). Results indicated that school administrators under survey lacked managerial competencies and adequate training in management and leadership in implementing the different programs and projects based on school-based management.
Una teoría causal de la modalidad
ALVARADO,JOSé TOMáS;
Ideas y Valores , 2009,
Abstract: this work presents a causal conception of metaphysical modality in which a state of affairs is metaphysically possible if and only if it can be caused (in the past, the present or the future) by current entities. the conception is contrasted with what is called the "combinatorial" conception of modality, in which everything can coexist with anything else. this work explains how the notion of 'causality' should be construed in the causal theory, what difference exists between modalities thus defined from nomological modality, how accessibility relations between possible worlds should be interpreted, and what is the relation between the causal conception and the necessity of origin.
Universales estructurales
Alvarado, José Tomás;
Manuscrito , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-60452011000200003
Abstract: the work presents the concept of a structural universal and the criticisms that have been leveled against it. a structural universal is a property had by an individual due to the nature of its proper parts and due to the relations obtaining between those parts. mellor has argued that there is no reason to accept such universal in addition to the basic universals that compose them. david lewis has argued -on the other hand- that it has not been satisfactorily explained how universals are composed by other universals. the composition by which a structural universal is given cannot be a set-theoretical construction or a mereological sum. several proposals to explain the nature of structural universals are discussed. finally it is argued that a structural universal should be understood as a complexion of higher-order universals.

Necesidad de origen e Identidad fundada; consideraciones críticas en torno al argumento de Forbes
José Tomás Alvarado
Revista Observaciones Filosóficas , 2008,
Abstract: the work presents and criticizes the argument developed by Graeme Forbes for the necessity of origin. In first place, the argument is studied in detail, considering in particular its presuppositions and the relation it has with the argument of Saul Kripke and Nathan Salmon for the same conclusion. In second place, the difficulties of Forbes’s argument are discussed, comparing it with the criticism by Teresa Robertson. It appears that it is (i) at best, inconclusive, and (ii) in the worst case, incoherent.

PROBLEMAS DE EPISTEMOLOGíA MODAL
ALVARADO MARAMBIO,JOSé TOMáS;
Discusiones Filosóficas , 2006,
Abstract: it seems obvious -or almost- that we do possess a great amount of modal knowledge. we know a lot about necessary facts obtaining in mathematics, and we also know a lot about the contingent character of "middle size dry goods", for example. the question is how to explain that knowledge. in particular, this work will discuss the impact that the dilemma posed by paul benacerraf in the mathematical case would have over modal statements, considering the conceptions about modal facts and possible worlds advanced by david lewis and saul kripke.
LA NOCIóN DE JUSTIFICACIóN A PRIORI
Alvarado Marambio,José Tomás;
Discusiones Filosóficas , 2008,
Abstract: this work tries to clarify the notion of a priori justification. first, it is contended that a priori justification should be identified with what appears after rational reflection of our higher cognitive capabilities upon certain content, concerning the truth value of the said propositional content. a priori justification characterised in this way should not be considered infallible, nor especially reliable, nor connected to the necessary, although it is contended that the specific modal content of a proposition seems to require a priori justification. finally, it is argued that the usual idea that all propositions a priori are analytic should be considered with special caution: there is no clear sense of analyticity to construe this common thesis. this in any way prevents a wide domain where a priori justification is required for the warrant of our judgements whether some concept is or is not applicable in different cases.
Nietzsche y su Zaratustra: Una experiencia musical
Alvarado Lozano,Mario Andrés;
Discusiones Filosóficas , 2009,
Abstract: dionysus needs apollo to appear in human life, to be understood. the drunk song from "thus spoke zarathustra" in the current state is bearable because of their appearance, once transformed into tragic sober song, will become a truly unbearable. this song is revealed as a happy lie and a truthful deceit because is pretends. set up the way to see the sober reflection on dionysus's face. there will be two conclusions of this article, the music switches eternally over the ideas and the thought of heraclitus "the dark of ephesus" is true, from the child who plays is the kingdom. before sing, the song must be transformed; the music starts to listen, the first mask falls down after that, the tragedy to stage. the transition from the bearable to unbearable, can only be call the "fifth gospel".
