Abstract: El Albendazol es el antihelmíntico de primera elección para varias parasitosis, entre ellas la Trichinellosis, sin embargo, el tiempo de tratamiento debe ser por periodos prolongados. El objetivo del trabajo fue determinar el efecto de este medicamento sobre ratas Long Evans gestantes e infectadas con T. spiralis. Se sincronizaron las ratas para gestarlas e infectarlas, el tratamiento fue de uno a catorce días, se utilizó la técnica de Hematoxilina-Eosina para evaluar el efecto sobre el hígado y el aparato reproductor, se determino el número de crías por tratamiento y las características de las crías obtenidas, los resultados indican una degeneración de los tejidos conforme aumenta el tiempo de tratamiento además se observa que el numero de crías es afectado directamente al aumentar el tiempo de tratamiento. The Albendazol is the antihelmintic of first election for several parasitism, among them trichinellosis, nevertheless, the time of treatment must be per prolonged periods. The aim of this work was to determine the effect of this medicine on Long rats Evans pregnant and infected with T. spiralis. We synchronize the rats to develop them and to infect them, the treatment went of one to fourteen days, used the Hematoxilina-Eosin technique to verify the effect on the liver and the reproductive apparatus and verified the number of young for each treatment and if correspondence between the obtained characteristics of the reproductive apparatus and young existed, the results indicate a degeneration of weaves as increases the time of treatment in addition is observed that I number of young is directly affected when increasing the treatment.

Abstract: Trichinella spiralis es uno de los agentes causantes de la Trichinellosis, es una zoonosis de distribución mundial, afecta a gran número de mamíferos así como al humano. En México la causa principal de infección se asocia con el consumo de carne de cerdo infectada con T. spiralis. En este trabajo se detectaron los cambios fenotípicos en productos de ratas Long Evans infectas con T. spiralis y tratadas con Albendazol. Utilizamos ratas cepa Long Evans en edad reproductiva. Divididas en grupos, incluidos controles y con tratamiento de uno a catorce días de tratamiento, para sincronizar la gestación en las ratas se realizaron frotis vaginales. Para la detección del parásito se utilizaron técnicas directas de compresión en placa y digestión artificial y la técnica indirecta de MIDD, para los cambios fenotípicos de crías obtenidas se realizo análisis detallado con microscopio estereoscópico. Efecto de la temperatura en la viabilidad e infectividad de Trichinella spiralis

Abstract: Introducción: Trichinella spiralis es el parásito causante de la Trichinellosis una zoonosis endémica en nuestro estado la cual afecta a mamíferos entre ellos el humano. La principal causa de infección para este es el consumo de carne mal cocida de cerdo infectada con la larva infectante (LI) de T. spiralis. El propósito de este trabajo es determinar el efecto que tiene la temperatura sobre este parásito para poder proporcionar a la población medidas profilácticas las cuales se puedan poner en práctica de manera sencilla y económica contra esta enfermedad. Material y Métodos: En este estudio se utilizaron 2 modelos experimentales: A) 2 cerdos raza York de 6 meses de edad (control y problema) el control sin infección y un problema infectado con T. spiralis para evaluar el efecto de la temperatura (cocción, frita, horno de microondas, olla de presión, refrigeración y congelación) en la viabilidad e Infectividad por medio de digestión artificial para obtener paquete larvario y observación directa al microscopio por compresión para observar sus características físicas y B) 3 ratas Long Evans se inocularon con muestras de carne (de cada procesamiento de temperatura) infectada obtenida del modelo de cerdo en cuánto a los resultados de los procedimientos empleados a temperaturas altas (cocción y frita) por compresión en la cocción a 96oC la viabilidad dió positiva hasta los 30 min. Después de este tiempo sus características no fueron viables (sus características físicas se observaron alteradas), en cuánto a la Infectividad (capacidad de completar su ciclo vital), se observó positiva hasta el minuto 30, después de este tiempo la Infectividad fue negativa. La carne frita a 450oC la viabilidad fue positiva hasta el minuto 60 igualmente la infectividad, a temperaturas bajas (refrigeración y congelación), en refrigeración a 4oC analizada del día 0 al 120 la viabilidad se observó positiva hasta el día 120 (es decir sus características físicas no mostraron alteraciones) la Infectividad se observó igualmente positiva hasta el día 120 en cuánto al proceso de congelación a -20oC, -40oC y -50oC al día 30 se observó negativo al igual que la Infectividad que se observó negativa, en el horno de microondas a temperatura media microondas a un tiempo de 10, 20 y 30 minutos la viabilidad del parásito se mostró positiva al minuto 30 al igual que la Infectividad positiva al minuto 30, en la carne sometida a cocimiento en la olla de presión a los 30 minutos la Infectividad y viabilidad fueron negativas. Abstract:

This is an article review of state-of-the-art about Mexicans’ migration to the USA, in last 5 years. We analyzed 4 myths: 1). Migration generates negative effects for the receiving country because when migrants arrive. 2). Mexicans’ migration to the USA generates big distortions in the receiving communities and Mexico is the only economic beneficiary. 3). Migrants collapse public health services in USA. 4). Mexican migrants are mistreated by American authorities. The findings will show the lack of empirical evidence of these generalized ideas.

Abstract: adapted cold tolerant maize germplasm is vastly cultivated in the semi-arid high andean ecosystem from southern peru on altitudes ranging from 2500 to 4000 masl and between 15o - 18o south latitude. an important part of maize production is the intensive utilization of about 20 open-pollinated native landraces for food preparation or preferred grain texture and color. systematic collection, characterization and evaluation of the tropical highland maize landraces from southern peru began in the early 2003, as part of a cooperative breeding research between the international kws saat ag seed-breeding company from einbeck, germany and the faculty of agronomy of national university of tacna, peru. the native maize germplasm revealed enormous diversity and genetic variation in landraces, but shared some common phenotypic characters, such as, outstanding tolerance to low temperatures, very late growing period ranging from eight to nine months, and a remarkable resistance to lodging. however, heat tolerant and early tropical lowland maize can be harvested in the peruvian coastal plains at 90-120 days, depending on the growing season. the establishment and conduction of this breeding project was carried out bearing in mind that geneflow from early-mature improved maize germplasm to the cold tolerant native landraces can be achieved without diminishing biodiversity. the utilization of about 15 cold tolerant native maize land races in this preliminary three years breeding research has generated up to date hybrid populations, mainly consisting of backcrossing, half-sib and full-sib progenies to make selections within and among them to develop inbred lines, hybrids, synthetics and varieties. evaluation of phenotypic responses of the first hybrid populations under the highland environmental conditions at 3350 masl has showed a high frequency of cold tolerant hybrid lines and genotypes with one-two month reduction of the growing period for dry kernels.

Abstract: Visual processing requires, from a neuropsychological view, the integration of different analysis levels. This makes visual studies dependent on the advances produced by different scientific disciplines, leading into an increasing and comprehensive conceptual demand as well as more consistent brain functioning models. Thus, the aim of this article is to review the most outstanding dichotomic visual processing models used in neuropsychology, so as to painstakingly analyze the role of the Posterior Parietal Lobe and the risks taken by those different models.
