O caso Paco: um exemplo de neodesencadeamento

Abstract: Este trabalho é produto de uma investiga o empreendida sobre Oestatuto contemporaneo das identifica es em sujeitos com marcas e altera es corporais, no Programa de Pós-gradua o em Psicologia Clínica da Universidade Católica de Pernambuco. Foram estudados os depoimentos coletados em outra pesquisa realizada no ambito da Antropologia pela pesquisadora Fabiana Maria Gama Pereira, intitulada Tatuagens, piercings e outras marcas corporais: aproxima es interetnográficas entre Recife e Madri. A metodologia utilizada foi a meta-análise. Os relatos de quatro sujeitos que submeteram seus corpos a altera es corporais foram analisados com base nos pressupostos da psicanálise. Eles foram divididos em dois grupos: o primeiro, composto por três sujeitos que marcam seus corpos para o Outro em busca de reconhecimento; e o outro, por um sujeito que ancora seu ser em suas modifica es corporais e tem uma modalidade identificatória peculiar a uma insígnia de gozo. Nosso objetivo é demonstrar que o caso do sujeito do segundo grupo representa um exemplo paradigmático de um neodesencadeamento psicótico.

Abstract: objectives: the aortopulmonary window (apw) is a communication between the pulmonary artery (pa) and the ascending aorta in the presence of two separate semilunar valves. this review describes the natural history of the apw and the impact of associated defects on surgical results in patients treated at our institution. methods: retrospective longitudinal study, based on the review of medical files of patients diagnosed between 1995 and 2005. results: of nine patients diagnosed as having apw, six had associated lesions. seven patients were submitted to surgical treatment with two deaths. one patient was not submitted to surgery due to pulmonary hypertension and another one died before the surgery due to a respiratory infection complication. conclusion: the surgical results are satisfactory when the apw presents as an isolated defect and when surgery is performed early, preventing the development of irreversible arterial pulmonary hypertension (aph). the presence of associated complex congenital heart disease is a bad prognostic factor in our series.

Abstract: the aids epidemic reaches children and adolescents, demanding from the society the search for answers to their care, education and health. innumerable actions, institutions and discourses had started to emerge in our culture, producing "truths" about this population. using the theoretical referential of michael foucault and the cultural studies i carried through a study with the objective of debate the discourses about childhood, adolescence and aids. the results indicate that, from the discourse practices and other ones related to support homes, sexuality and diagnosis' revelation, ways to conceive childhood, adolescence and aids emerge, "inventing" the children and adolescents living with hiv/aids. also, these children and adolescents start to narrate themselves, and construct an experience of themselves through these devices that produce subjectivities, which function as a technology of the self. the discussions in this work point to the necessity of reflection and a review of the practices in this area.

Abstract: this paper examines some paradoxes experienced by evangelical military police actions-active members of congregations located in the barracks of the state of rio de janeiro military police (in portuguese, pmerj), in the search for dialogue between their faith, the prerogatives of their mission and the values that inform the dominant police practice. the study is based on the concept of "techniques of neutralization" of (sykes and matza, 1996) as well as the typology of muir jr. (1977) on police responses of the so-called "paradoxes of coercion". the analysis shows that the manicheist rhetoric of "spiritual warfare" is transposed to the police environment and vigorously appropriated to the experience of coercion in police practices. this result seems to show the construction of evangelical ethical standards for police action, in which daily conflicts are conducted as visible expressions of the nefarious influence of the demon, responsible for crime, debauchery and all sorts of socially disapproved behaviors.

Abstract: this study aims at to present the formulation and implantation background of a discipline offered by the postgraduate program in education (ppge) at the federal university of espírito santo (ufes) since 2009, entitled “the production of school failure in maria helena souza patto’s work”. the study aims to report the the contributions of this discipline and the author’s work in training teachers and researchers who have as their object of study, school failure in public schools and espirito santo in brazil. for this purpose, we present the context of ppge, setting the course offered and how that work was being unveiled for the group of students (masters and doctorates), as well as the ramifications of the discipline in ppge.

Abstract: Este artigo aborda o Servi o Social brasileiro como profiss o e área do conhecimento, ressaltando sua dimens o intelectual e qualificando-a como uma particularidade nos ambitos continental e mundial do Servi o Social. Aponta evidências deste protagonismo, dentre elas, a natureza das comunica es científicas nos eventos latino-americanos e mundiais, a amplia o das cita es de autores do Servi o Social em produ es das ciências sociais e humanas e o crescimento da demanda pelas pós-gradua es em Servi o Social de outras áreas do conhecimento. Desenvolve a hipótese de que o Servi o Social como área do conhecimento supera os imperativos imediatos da interven o, contribuindo para a constru o de uma massa crítica, donde o seu papel intelectual na forma o de uma cultura teórica e política que se contrap e à hegemonia dominante, protagonizada pela esquerda marxista no Brasil. Esta dimens o mantém unidade com o exercício profissional, contudo faz uma distin o entre o significado do Servi o Social enquanto área do conhecimento e profiss o. This article addresses Brazilian Social Work as a profession and field of knowledge, emphasizing its intellectual dimension and qualifying it as a particularity in the continental and global realms of Social Work. It points to evidence of this protagonist role, including, the nature of academic papers in Latin American and global events, and the increased number of citations of authors from the field of Social Work in the social and human sciences and the growing demand for graduate study in Social Work from other fields of knowledge. It develops the hypothesis that Social Work as a field of knowledge goes beyond the immediate imperatives of intervention, contributing to the construction of a critical mass, where its intellectual role in the formation of a theoretical and political culture by the Marxist left in Brazil offers a counter position to the dominant hegemony. This dimension maintains a unity with professional exercise, although it makes a distinction between the meaning of Social Work as a field of knowledge and as a profession.
