Kronologija radova iz podru ja glazbene ba tine u izdanjima Zavoda za znanstveni rad Hrvatske akademije znanosti i umjetnosti u Vara dinu 1983.- 2009

Abstract: Zavod za znanstveni rad Hrvatske akademije u Vara dinu od svog osnutka 1983. posve uje du nu pa nju istra ivanjima glazbene ba tine Vara dina, ali i drugih tema vezanih za glazbu i glazbenike. Prve tekstove nalazimo u zbornika Vara din iz 1983. godine, u kojem su objavljeni radovi sa znanstvenog skupa 1981. u povodu prvog spomena grada Vara dina. Posljednji radove o glazbi nalazimo u zborniku 800 godina slobodnog kraljevskog grada Vara dina tiskanog 2009. godine. U 25 godi njem razdoblju Zavod je u suradnji s Vara dinskim baroknim ve erima organizirao 9 znanstvenih skupova na kojima se obra ivala glazbena ba tina. Okupiv i vi e od 40 autora s gotovo 60 tekstova Zavod u Vara dinu potvr uje koliko je bogata glazbena ba tina vara dinskoj kraja. Objavljena istra ivanja evidentno su pokazala da je obra en tek manji dio bogatog glazbenog naslje a koje posjeduje Vara din ali i sjeverozapadna Hrvatska. Ovim prikazom eli se ukazati na potrebu trajne brige za na u glazbenu ba tinu, koju vrijedi istra ivati i sa uvati. Ona je sastavni dio na eg bogatog povijesnog naslje a.

Abstract: Contemporary pig production requires high demand on breeding large number of animals/pigs in a relatively small space while attaining maximum productivity. Their productivity is related to their health and ever-growing concern about less use of antibiotics in pig production. Measures have been taken to prevent diseases rather than cure them. Biosecurity measures prevent entry of pathogens into farm and their transmission between buildings. There are many critical points that must be taken care of: location, workers, farm entrance, breeding progeny, semen, transport animals, food, dead animals, feces, waste water, DDD, biosecurity in buildings etc. Standardized rules of biosecurity on farms need to be strictly followed to maintain high production.

Abstract: The aim of the research was to determine the influence of polymorphism in MC4R genes on slaughtering traits. The research was carried out on 60 crossbreeds of Large White and German Landrace in the dam line and of Duroc in the sire line. According to tests performed, it was determined that polymorphism in MC4R genes affected some quantitative traits of pigs related to feed intake, like MLD thickness, electric conductivity and meat color. Presented results of the examined slaughtering traits pointed out the need for further research in order to obtain more realistic relation of polymorphism in MC4R genes and slaughtering traits. It is also important to increase the number of pigs under research, as 60 pigs are a relatively small number for such research. Furthermore, other pig breeds should be involved in the research aiming to examine connection of polymorphism in MC4R genes with slaughtering traits within one particular breed, especially if it is known that polymorphism in MC4R genes affects slaughtering traits in different ways, depending on the examined breed.
Changes in the Hurst exponent of heartbeat intervals during physical activities

Abstract: The fractal scaling properties of the heartbeat time series are studied in a controlled ergometric regime using the Hurst rescaled range R/S analysis. The long-time "memory effect" quantified by the value of the Hurst exponent $H>0.5$ is found to increase during progresive physical activity at healthy subjects in contrast to those having stable angina pectoris (SAP), where it is decreasing. We argue that this finding may be used as a useful new diagnostic parameter for short heartbeat time series.

Abstract: The seismic records of borehole-to-borehole me- asurements on frequency of 200 Hz in the mi-crostrain range have been analysed. Microplas-ticity manifestations caused by seismic wave are detected on seismic records. It is the lad-der-like stepwise change in amplitude course in some parts of the seismic trace. The step dura-tion (time plateau) presents the amplitude- dependent time delay that shifts the arrival time and protracts pulse front. The microplastic process occurs owing to the anomalous re-alignment of the internal stresses on the micro-structural defects in “elastic” domain. Result is the useful contribution for improvement of the theory of wave attenuation in the rocks. It can also be used in solving the applied problems in material science, seismic prospecting, diagnos-tics etc.

In the present paper, a generalization of the method of partial summation of the expansion of the thermodynamical potential is proposed. This generalization allows one to obtain the corresponding equations for higher-order correlation matrices, as well as to formulate the variational method for their solution. We show that correlation matrices of equilibrium quantum system satisfy a variational principle for thermodynamic potential which is functional of these matrices that provides a thermodynamic consistency of the theory. This result is similar to a variational principle for correlation functions of classical systems.

The Challenges of the Engineering Inspection of Pipelines and Heat Engines by Temperature Deformation and Stress  [PDF]

Pipelines and engines are studied under the thermal stress during operation. With the calculated ratios obtained, it is possible to settle practical issues in operation in order to increase the reliability and safety of equipment. To this end, it is first necessary to investigate the thermal mode of the pipeline, the engine for the planned period by the operations control centre. At the same time, the equipment with the average temperature at a certain time of the year exceeding the design value should be identified. In addition, the equipment concerning the nature of jamming should be studied at the sections specified in such a way. In case of identifying the jammed sections based on the above calculated ratios by thermal deformation and stressing the necessary value of movement of the sections, it should be determined that the actual voltage does not exceed the permissible level.

Abstract: This article deals with computational modeling of nonlinear rotor dynamic systems. The theoretical basis of the method of dynamic compliances and the modal method, supplemented by the method of trigonometric collocation, are presented. The main analysis is focused on the solutions of the eigenvalue problem and steady-state and transient responses. The algorithms for solving this range of problems are presented. The finite element method, the method of dynamic compliances, and the modal method are supplemented by the trigonometric collocation method. The theoretical analysis is supplemented by the solution of a model task, which is focused on the application of the trigonometric collocation method. The solution of a technical application, which is a pump, is presented in this article.
