Pérez,Edgardo; Lescano,Carina; Zalazar,Paola; Furlán,Luis; Martínez,Milladros;
Psicoperspectivas , 2011, DOI: 10.5027/psicoperspectivas-Vol10-Issue1-fulltext-141
Abstract: this article includes a series of instrumental studies that describe the development of a self-efficacy measure, based on social cognitive and multiple intelligences theories, whose target population are children and preadolescents in the fifth and sixth year of middle school level. an exploratory factor analysis of the responses from 360 participants enabled the interpretation of eight scales and 40 items congruent with multiple intelligences theory, with acceptable values of internal consistence. additional studies of external validation showed that some of the scales predict academic performance on subject areas which are theoretically linked, and gender differences on the scales are consistent with previous findings reported in the literature.

A teoria crítica dos sistemas da escola de Frankfurt
Fischer-Lescano, Andreas;
Novos Estudos - CEBRAP , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-33002010000100009
Abstract: besides their skepticism about universal reason and universal morality, the frankfurt schools of critical systems theory and critical theory share basic assumptions: (1) the thinking in societal-systemic, institutional concepts, which transcend simple reciprocal relations by dint of their complexity; (2) the assumption that society is based on fundamental paradoxes, antagonisms, antinomies; (3) the strategy to conceptualize justice as a contingent and transcendental formula; (4) the form of immanent (and not morality-based, external) critique as an attitude of transcendence; (5) the aim of societal (and not only political) emancipation in an "association of free individuals" (marx). the article focuses on those parallels and aims to conceptualize a critical turnaround of autopoietic systems theory.
Nanofósiles calcáreos de la Formación Agrio (Cretácico Inferior) en el sector sudoccidental de la Cuenca Neuquina, Argentina
Lescano,Marina; Concheyro,Andrea;
Ameghiniana , 2009,
Abstract: calcareous nannofossil assemblages recorded in marine rocks of the lower cretaceous agrio formation in the southern neuquén basin are presented here. the cerro birrete (39o 16.456′s and 70o 5.94′o), barda cerro marucho (39o 26.685′s and 70o 13.015′o) and cerro marucho section (39o 26.443′s and 70o 13.21′o) are analized, being recognized 33 taxa, between them, the reliable markers are: clepsilithus maculosus rutledge and bown, eiffellithus striatus (black) applegate and bergen, eiffellithus windii applegate and bergen, nannoconus bucheri br?nnimann, nannoconus circularis déres and achéritéguy. the nannofossil association, of late valanginian-hauterivian age, allow to date of the agrio formation in the area and correlate it with others situated in different localities of the basin.
Notes on the historical archaeology of the "Huacón" dance Apuntes histórico-arqueológicos en torno a la danza del Huacón
Sergio Barraza Lescano
Anthropologica , 2009,
Abstract: This article constitutes an attempt to document the origins of the Huaconada, a dance currently performed in the town of Mito (Mantaro Valley) but which, as can be inferred from archival sources, was widespread throughout the coast and central Andes of Peru during colonial times. The study of ethnohistorical sources from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries reveals a relationship between the huacones and the ancestral founders of the communities where the dance was performed. This explains the repeated association of these mythical characters with elements connected to ancestor cults in the Andes, such as caves (machay) and huancas . The analysis suggests the role of this type of ceremonies in the agricultural calendar of native indigenous populations during the colonial period.From the review of archaeological evidence, it is suggested that certain pieces of wood carving from prehispanic burial wrappings and masks incorporating human remains represent the materials used for paraphernalia that is employed in the dance.
Middle managers service leadership
Lucio Roberto Lescano Duncan
Cuadernos de Gestión , 2011,
Abstract: A big challenge in modern service organization is to focus on customers and to forge their satisfaction and loyalty. Innovation, information technology and value added are decisive factors, however the main aspect to consider is the human factor. It is necessary to focus on people in order to improve the service capability within the organization.Middle manager is the link between the strategy designed by top management and the execution to deliver services, that is realized by employees guided by leaders of middle level. Our study is focused on middle manager service orientation as the pillar to get a customer focus and to forge the service employees' performance.We consider that middle managers have to asume a service leadership in order to foster the productivity and employees' commitment. In that sense we focus especially on middle managers' main roles. Those are the key aspect to deploy a service culture, and at the same time to promote employees' satisfaction that drives their performance and development.
Detection of Behavior Patterns in Single Women in Mexico  [PDF]
Edgardo Ruiz, Argelia Avila
Psychology (PSYCH) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2013.411129
Abstract:

The proposal of this work is to detect the existence of patterns of interactive sequential discursive behavior in three single Mexican adult women from retrospective analysis of the interview between them and the interviewer. The applied methodology was observational. It was developed iteratively and thoroughly, a category system as an instrument of observation, and then it was undergone a recategorization process. The number of sessions observed was three, of three hours a duration. Intersessional sequential analysis was used through the SDIS-GSEQ software. Thus we find that the first significant categories in order of occurrence are: Being for her self, Paradox and Independence. The following in significant probability of occurrence position are: Dependency, self-satisfaction, Complementary, Comprehension andNormal. Finally, the categories that are inhibitory occurrence probabilistically negative are: Responsible, Myself, Self-understanding. Finding out these women are learning to live for themselves within a process of emancipation from their families and social structures.

On the Short-Term Optimisation of a Hydro Basin with Social Constraints  [PDF]
Gloria Hermida, Edgardo D. Castronuovo
Computational Water, Energy, and Environmental Engineering (CWEEE) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/cweee.2013.21002
Abstract:

In this paper, an optimisation problem for calculating the best energy bids of a set of hydro power plants in a basin is proposed. The model is applied to a real Spanish basin for the short-term (24-hour) planning of the operation. The algorithm considers the ecological flows and social consumptions required for the actual operation. One of the hydro plants is fluent, without direct-control abilities. The results show that the fluent plant can be adequately controlled by using the storage capacities of the other plants. In the simulations, the costs related to the social consumptions are more significant than those due to the ecological requirements. An estimate of the cost of providing water for social uses is performed in the study.
