Bunching coefficients in Echo-Enabled Harmonic Generation

Abstract: Coulombian diffusion determines a dilution of bunching coefficients in Free Electron Laser seeded devices. From the mathematical point of view the effect can be modeled through a heat type equation, which can be merged with the ordinary Liouville equation, ruling the evolution of the longitudinal phase space beam distribution. We will show that the use of analytical tools like the Generalized Bessel Functions and algebraic techniques for the solution of evolution problems may provide a useful method of analysis and shine further light on the physical aspects of the underlying mechanisms.

Abstract: We study the properties of different type of transforms by means of operational methods and discuss the relevant interplay with many families of special functions. We consider in particular the binomial transform and its generalizations. A general method, based on the use of the Fourier transform technique, is proposed for the study of the properties of functions of operators.

Abstract: We propose an accurate non numerical solution of the Fisher Equation (FE), capable of reproducing the known analytical solutions and those obtained from a numerical analysis. The form we propose is based on educated guesses concerning the possibility of merging diffusive and logistic behavior into a single formula.

Laser Heater and seeded Free Electron Laser

Abstract: In this paper we consider the effect of laser heater on a seeded Free Electron Laser. We develop a model embedding the effect of the energy modulation induced by the heater with those due to the seeding. The present analysis is compatible with the experimental results obtained at FERMI displaying secondary maxima with increasing heater intensity. The treatment developed in the paper confirms and extends previous analyses and put in evidence further effects which can be tested in future experiments.

Abstract: We propose an operational method for the solution of differential equations involving vector products. The technique we propose is based on the use of the evolution operator, defined in such a way that the wealth of techniques developed within the context of quantum mechanics can also be exploited for classical problems. We discuss the application of the method to the solution of the Lorentz-type equations.

Abstract: The generalized complex numbers can be realized in terms of $2\times2$ or higher-order matrices and can be exploited to get different ways of looking at the trigonometric functions. Since Chebyshev polynomials are linked to the power of matrices and to trigonometric functions, we take the quite natural step to discuss them in the context of the theory of generalized complex numbers. We also briefly discuss the two-variable Chebyshev polynomials and their link with the third-order Hermite polynomials.

Abstract: Buffalo intensive husbandry represents the most lucrative dairy activity in Campania Region. The main forage crop system used in this area are based on winter Italian reygrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) and spring corn (Zea mays L.). The continuous growing of this crops stressed the soil with a consequent reduction of yield potential. The experiment aimed to assess the agronomic and nutritive feeding value of Italian ryegrasscorn vs other cropping systems (models) based on double rotated legumes and graminaceous crops grown under irrigated and rainfed water supply.
