Abstract: In the library world, controlled vocabularies have long been created and maintained by professional catalogers for ease of retrieving relevant library materials. Recently, social tagging has been widely applied in many social network sites such as Flickr and Delicious. This phenomenon reflects the needs of online users for information organization and retrieval in online communities. This report focuses on current development in social tagging applications in libraries and uses of subject headings data beyond traditional library catalog model. Some good practices and library system developments are introduced to demonstrate improvements information professionals have made to provide more personalized and friendly bibliographical services and assist users to explore library collections more efficiently. It also attempts to point out possible future development directions in social tagging and subject cataloging in library information systems.在圖書館界,控制詞彙早已被專業編目人員為方便使用者檢索圖書館資料所使用並加以維護。最近,社會性標記已被廣泛應用於許多社交網站,如Flickr和Delicious。這種現象反映了網路使用者對於網路社群中資訊組織和檢索的需求。本報告著重闡述當前社會性標記在圖書館的應用和主題標目資料在傳統圖書目錄模式之外的使用。同時介紹一些圖書館系統的發展和值得推薦的具體實踐以體現資訊領域專業人士為使用者提供更個性化的友善的書目服務所做的努力。本文還試圖探討主題編目和社會性標記在圖書館資訊系統未來可能的發展方向。頁次:4-15

Abstract: Based on the field loading test and the laboratory model test, the bearing behaviors and the failure mode of rock-socked pile foundation are discussed. The results of the analysis show that the rock-socked pile posses the loading behaviors of friction pile or end bearing pile, which is dependent on geological condition and design methods. The failure mode of rock-socked pile is related to the relative rigidity of pile and rock, and the failure may occur in (1) the interface of rock and pile, (2) the rock around the pile and (3) the pile itself.

Abstract: Using elasto-plastic model and elastic mechanics theory,the stress transfer and deformation of pile along the pile are analysed respectively. The calculation model of single pile is built and the theoretic solutions are gained. The increase of bearing capacity of single pile is obvious with time. According to the data of static loading test for single cement soil pile,the time effect on bearing capacity of single cement soil pile is analysed in the saturated soil. The influences of groundwater on the bearing capacity are considered too. The presented results are of important significance to optimizing design of the cement soil pile composite foundation and deciding the time of the loading test.
A comparative study on treatment of impure acid with low-concentration arsenic

Abstract: The arsenic removal efficiency from low concentration acid wastewater was evaluated by lime neutralization and the combination of lime with ferric iron in the present study. It was found that the level of arsenic, copper, lead and zinc could satisfy the limits specified by the hazardous waste discharge standard (GB 5085.3-2007) leached out of the arsenic-containing solid waste from the combination of lime with ferric iron treatment process. Therefore, the combined utilization was the preferred process because of its higher efficiency and innocuous compared with single lime neutralization. The corresponding parameters were also evaluated to achieve the optimized arsenic removal efficiency. The results indicated that the acid solutions were neutralized with lime in two hours to a final pH value of 2 in the first stage; the second-stage involved with Ca(ClO)2 oxidation with a Ca(ClO)2/As molar ratio of 6, ferric flocculation with a Fe/As molar ratio of 8, and lime neutralization to a final pH of 8 within an hour. After the two stages, the residual concentration of arsenic could below the tolerance level (0.3 mg/L) without any hazardous precipitates. The orthogonal design showed that the significance of the contribution of the above four factors to arsenic removal is ranked as: final pH of reacted solution > reaction time > Fe/As mole ratio > content of oxidant.
Estimation of a Type of Form-Invariant Combined Signals under Autoregressive Operators  [PDF]

We focus on a type of combined signals whose forms remain invariant under the autoregressive operators. To extract the true signal from the autoregressive noise, we develop a strategy to separate parameters and use a two-step least squares approach to estimate the autoregressive parameters directly and then further give the estimate of the signal parameters. This method overcomes the difficulty that the autoregressive noise remains unknown in other methods. It can effectively separate the noise and extract the true signal. The algorithm is linear. The solution of the problem is computationally cheap and practical with high accuracy.

Identification of candidate genes for human pituitary development by EST analysis

Abstract: A total of 9,271 ESTs were generated from both fetal and adult pituitaries, and assigned into 961 gene/EST clusters in fetal and 2,747 in adult pituitary by homology analysis. The transcription maps derived from these data indicated that developmentally relevant genes, such as Sox4, ST13 and ZNF185, were dominant in the cDNA library of fetal pituitary, while hormones and hormone-associated genes, such as GH1, GH2, POMC, LHβ, CHGA and CHGB, were dominant in adult pituitary. Furthermore, by using RT-PCR and in situ hybridization, Sox4 was found to be one of the main transcription factors expressed in fetal pituitary for the first time. It was expressed at least at E12.5, but decreased after E17.5. In addition, 40 novel ESTs were identified specifically in this tissue.The significant changes in gene expression in both tissues suggest a distinct and dynamic switch between embryonic and adult pituitaries. All these data along with Sox4 should be confirmed to further understand the community of multiple signaling pathways that act as a cooperative network that regulates maturation of the pituitary. It was also suggested that EST sequencing is an efficient means of gene discovery.The pituitary is well known as one of the most important glands in the endocrine system, and secretes hormones that orchestrate many physiological processes such as growth, sexual development, metabolism and the stress response. Abstract: 为解决内循环厌氧反应器在对低浓度有机废水处理时,因产气量不足、内循环量小而不能正常运行的问题,提出了强制循环反应器的概念,给出了设计方法。以低浓度、碱性印染工业废水为研究对象,进行了强制循环厌氧反应器的启动与运行的研究,得出了该反应器的最佳HRT和最佳外加循环量。结果表明:在高硫、低性状絮状厌氧泥为接种泥情况下,最佳外循环流量1 m3/h,最佳HRT为7 h时,FCR出水的T-COD和S-COD去除率分别为53.6%和58%。
The Correlation of Lung Function Indexes and Survival Time of Patients with Advanced Lung Cancer  [PDF]

Background: To those patients with advanced lung cancer, the ultimate objective is to improve the quality of life, and lung function is an important factor affecting quality of life. We detect lung function of patients with lung cancer and study the correlation between lung function and the patients’ survival time, to provide reference for evaluation of disease progression and prognosis. Methods: Lung function was detected on 59 cases of lung cancer and 63 normal controls. The relationship between lung function indexes and survival time was analyzed. Results: There was significant difference in ventilation function and diffusing capacity between lung cancer group and control group. Vital capacity (VC), Forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), Forced vital capacity (FVC), peak expiratory flow (PEF), peak expiratory flow% (PEF%), Maximal ventilatory volume (MVV) were positively correlated to survival time in patients with advanced lung cancer (r = 0.28522064, 0.28053851, 0.28289252, 0.26908133, 0.26335034, 0.28409036, P < 0.05), residual volume/total lung capacity was negatively correlated to survival time (r = ?0.30760097, P < 0.05). Conclusions: The lung function decrease in the patients with lung cancer. Phase Error Modeling and Its Impact on Precise Orbit Determination of GRACE Satellites

Abstract: Limiting factors for the precise orbit determination (POD) of low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite using dual-frequency GPS are nowadays mainly encountered with the in-flight phase error modeling. The phase error is modeled as a systematic and a random component each depending on the direction of GPS signal reception. The systematic part and standard deviation of random part in phase error model are, respectively, estimated by bin-wise mean and standard deviation values of phase postfit residuals computed by orbit determination. By removing the systematic component and adjusting the weight of phase observation data according to standard deviation of random component, the orbit can be further improved by POD approach. The GRACE data of 1–31 January 2006 are processed, and three types of orbit solutions, POD without phase error model correction, POD with mean value correction of phase error model, and POD with phase error model correction, are obtained. The three-dimensional (3D) orbit improvements derived from phase error model correction are 0.0153 m for GRACE A and 0.0131 m for GRACE B, and the 3D influences arisen from random part of phase error model are 0.0068 m and 0.0075 m for GRACE A and GRACE B, respectively. Thus the random part of phase error model cannot be neglected for POD. It is also demonstrated by phase postfit residual analysis, orbit comparison with JPL precise science orbit, and orbit validation with KBR data that the results derived from POD with phase error model correction are better than another two types of orbit solutions generated in this paper.
