Nagorno-Karabakh: basis and reality of Soviet-era legal and economic claims used to justify the Armenia-Azerbaijan war
Dr. Adil Baguirov
Caucasian Review of International Affairs , 2008,
Abstract: The Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over the Nagorno-Karabakh (NK) region of Azerbaijan, which in its modern form has continued for 20 years, is a complicated case study of multi-vector and multi-layered claims, mostly from the Soviet times, ranging from history, economy, and legal status, used to justify the military occupation (along with seven adjacent regions). The article illustrates that some of the weaker claims were dropped altogether, whilst others were continually mixed with additional charges to make them “stick”. Despite solid legal, historic and moral grounds, Azerbaijan has been lagging in clarifying and explaining the fictitious charges of NK’s supposed transfer to Azerbaijan’s suzerainty in 1920s, the legal status of NK itself, its economic and financial well-being, and the impossibility to apply the 3 April 1990 Soviet Law on Succession to the NK case whether for the purposes of justifying its independence or attachment to Armenia. Despite all the challenges and blame shared by all sides, NK and adjacent currently occupied territories are recognized as part of Azerbaijan, with the latter retaining all rights, including military, to return it under its full sovereignty.
Studying the Utilization of Plastic Waste by Chemical Recycling Method  [PDF]
Adil Ko?
Open Journal of Applied Sciences (OJAppS) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ojapps.2013.37051
Abstract:

The rapid increase in the use of plastic materials in the recent years led to the accumulation of excessive amounts of plastic waste. The so-called thermoplastics such as PE, PP, PS, PVC and PET as well as materials that are derived from these are the type of plastic that is most used and consequently creates most of the waste. In this study, the original and waste forms of PE and PP plastic types have been chosen for thermal and catalytic degradation. As process parameter, 410oC - 450oC temperature interval and 600 mL/min constant flow rate nitrogen gas have been chosen as the carrier gas and the reaction time was considered to be 90 minutes for all experiments. Liquid products collected in experiments were separated by means of fractioned distillation process. For purposes of determining product distribution, the fractions, which were separated by distillation, were diluted in an appropriate solution for analysis of GC/MS. In the study conducted, it has been observed that the liquid product distribution obtained mainly consists of a mixture of saturated and unsaturated (heptane, heptane, octane, nonane, dodecane, etc.) hydrocarbons.

FIRM SIZE, LEVERAGE AND PROFITABILITY: OVERRIDING IMPACT OF ACCOUNTING INFORMATION SYSTEM
Dr. Rehana Kouser,Adil Awan,Gul-e-Rana,Farasat Ali Shahzad
Business and Management Review , 2011,
Abstract: Information systems are mainly used by many organizations to improve efficiency of business activities by automatingexisting operations. Past researches in show that by adopting information systems we can increase firm performance. Results discovered that by adopting accounting information system there is significant improvement in performance. Accounting information system (AIS) is a superior system that focuses on user-orientation. Core objective of AIS is to collect and record data and information that is concerned to events that can economically impact upon firms. It processes information and communicate this useful information to internal and external stakeholders. This study intends to find the effects of Accounting Information system (AIS) on profitability of Pakistani firms. It investigates whether there is any difference between adopters and non adopters of accounting system. The sample data have been taken from sixty six of public listed companies on Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) by purposive sampling dated from 2005 to 2009 period. Study used the four variables. Independent variable is ROA which measures profitability. Two independent variables are Leverage and Firm Size. Leverage is quantified using debt ratio and firm size is measured by taking natural logarithm of total assets. These independent variables are taken on the basis of high availability as determinants of profitability. Study intends to check the overridingrole of accounting system on this relation, so AS acts as intervening variable in the study.

Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/am.2012.32023
Abstract: Some new oscillation criteria are given for forced second order differential equations with mixed nonlinearities by using the generalized variational principle and Riccati technique. Our results generalize and extend some known oscillation results in the literature.
Gradient Observability for Semilinear Hyperbolic Systems: Sectorial Approach  [PDF]
Adil Khazari, Ali Boutoulout
Intelligent Control and Automation (ICA) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/ica.2014.53019
Abstract:

The aim of this work is to study the notion of the gradient observability on a subregion ω of the evolution domain Ω for a class of semilinear hyperbolic systems. We show, under some hypothesis, that the gradient reconstruction is achieved following sectorial approach combined with fixed point techniques. The obtained results lead to an algorithm which can be implemented numerically.

Adil Khazari, Ali Boutoulout
Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/am.2016.712117
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to study the notion of the gradient observability on a subregion w of the evolution domain W and also we consider the case where the subregion of interest is a boundary part of the system evolution domain for the class of semilinear hyperbolic systems. We show, under some hypotheses, that the flux reconstruction is guaranteed by means of the sectorial approach combined with fixed point techniques. This leads to several interesting results which are performed through numerical examples and simulations.

Abstract:

Rapid developments of mobile technologies, data acquisition and big data analytics, and their integration with critical application domains such as transportation systems have the potential to produce more efficient, real-time, intelligent and safe transportation infrastructure. To increase the quality of transportation services, wireless sensor networks, mobile phones, crowd sourcing, RFID and Bluetooth technologies are being used. We surveyed innovations that were transformed from ideas in research labs into commercial systems in practical use. In this paper, we present some innovative mobile technologies, services and platforms that are being used in modern transportation applications including traffic data acquisition, traffic management and control, route optimizations, infrastructure redesign, road safety and enhancing user experience.

Structure of weakly periodic rings with potent extended commutators
Adil Yaqub
International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences , 2001, DOI: 10.1155/s0161171201005051
Abstract: A well-known theorem of Jacobson (1964, page 217) asserts that a ring R with the property that, for each x in R, there exists an integer n(x)>1 such that xn(x)=x is necessarily commutative. This theorem is generalized to the case of a weakly periodic ring R with a “sufficient” number of potent extended commutators. A ring R is called weakly periodic if every x in R can be written in the form x=a

Adil Akyuz
Journal of Animal and Veterinary Advances , 2012,
Abstract: Environmental conditions of commercial broiler house, such as temperature, relative humidity and lightening, on the performance of broiler in winter and summer months in Kahramanmaras province was determined in this experiment. After 42 days of rearing period average of temperature, relative humidity and light intensity of poultry house were measured in summer months 30.56-26.60°C, 32.22-49.33% and 55.1 wat m-2 in winter months 29.5-13.93°C, 67.55-79.15% and 49.33 watt m-2, respectively. Lost of live weight was found to be 23 and 58.9% in summer and in winter months, respectively. As a result insufficient poultry house environmental conditions were detected in broiler enterprise which reduces the economic efficiency of enterprise.
UNEMPLOYMENT AND THE ENTREPRENEUR
Adil Mouhammed
International Journal of Economics and Research , 2010,
Abstract: This paper aims at analyzing the problem of unemployment and the role of the entrepreneur in reducing the rate of unemployment through innovations. Having reviewed the basic theories of unemployment, the paper explains the role of the entrepreneur as developed by Schumpeter in reducing the rate of unemployment. Not surprisingly, unemployment can be reduced over the course of the business cycle but cannot be eliminated under capitalism, because a low rate of unemployment will increase wages and power of the working people
