The Effect of Knowledge Management on Product Innovation - Evidence from the Chinese Software Outsourcing Vendors  [PDF]
Dong Yang
iBusiness (IB) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/ib.2011.31003
Abstract: The knowledge acquisition and exploitation are becoming more and more for local vendors in offshore outsourcing cooperation. In the process of product innovation, internal knowledge sharing (IKS), external knowledge acquisition (EKA) and their interactive relationship is discussed. Through the using of the method of 3SLS, the results of STATA indicate that IKS and EKA positively complement for product innovation. Furthermore, the result of SPSS reveals that knowledge exploitation mediates the (IKS) EKA and product innovation.
Genre-Based Language Teaching Approach & University English Teaching for Different Majors
Cross-Cultural Communication , 2007, DOI: 10.3968/679
Abstract: Through the introduction and comparative analysis on the Grammar Translation Method and Communicative Approach, the present paper proposes that under the current Chinese educational circumstances, the two methods should be localized in order to adjust to the characteristics of Chinese college English classroom teaching. By combination and further perfection, the Grammar Translation Method and Communicative Approach can serve as college English classroom teaching methods with outstanding Chinese characteristics, which enable the students to improve their language competence and communicative competence, thus the transfer from teacher-centeredness and student-centeredness to learning-centeredness can be achieved.
How does Knowledge Sharing and Governance Mechanism Affect Innovation Capabilities? –From the Coevolution Perspective
Dong Yang
International Business Research , 2010, DOI: 10.5539/ibr.v4n1p154
Abstract: This paper examines the evolution of knowledge sharing, governance mechanism and innovation capabilities in IT outsourcing cooperation. Using a co-evolutionary approach, we develop a framework that shows how knowledge sharing, governance mechanism evolve. Especially, the transactional and knowledge governance both are adopted, which how impact innovation capabilities. Propositions linking the concepts are provided as guides for future empirical research.
The effect of intangible resource bundling on ambidextrous capabilities---the moderating effect of EO and MO
Dong Yang
Business Management Dynamics , 2012,
Abstract: As the value-adding process of industrial firms are increasingly based on the capabilities, the natural focus of attention shifts from the control of static, firm-specific resources to the transform resources into capabilities. This paper builds a framework of structuring resources and capabilities. The paper outlines the intangible resource bundling, capability, EO and MO. Based on the theoretic framework, many hypotheses have been proposed.
“Chinese All-Dimensional Cultural Introduction” for Foreign Experts Who Works in the Fields of Culture & Education in China
Canadian Social Science , 2009,
Abstract: The paper for the first time proposes to conduct “Chinese All-Dimensional Cultural Introduction” study on foreign experts who work in the fields of culture and education in China and also brings forward feasible, practical and concrete counter-measures for the “All-Dimensional (in their daily life, teaching and social communications) introduction”. A case study of one typical foreign expert is conducted with analyzed study result. The positive meaning of the research is summarized at the end of the paper. Key words: Foreign Experts; Culture & Education; All-Dimensional; Chinese Cultural Introduction
Distinguishability, classical information of quantum operations
Dong Yang
Physics , 2005,
Abstract: A basic property of distinguishability is that it is non-increasing under further quantum operations. Following this, we generalize two measures of distinguishability of pure states--fidelity and von Neumann entropy, to mixed states as self-consistent measures. Then we extend these two measures to quantum operations. The information-theoretic point of the generalized Holevo quantity of an ensemble of quantum operations is constructed. Preferably it is an additive measure. The exact formula for SU(2) ensemble is presented. With the aid of the formula, we show Jozsa-Schlienz paradox that states as a whole are less distinguishable while all pairwise are more distinguishable in an ensemble of quantum states, also occurs in an ensemble of quantum operations, even in the minimal dimensional case SU(2) ensemble.
A simple proof of monogamy of entanglement
Dong Yang
Physics , 2006, DOI: 10.1016/j.physleta.2006.08.027
Abstract: Monogamy of entanglement means that an entangled state cannot be shared with many parties. The more parties, the less entanglement between them. In this paper, we give a simple proof of this property and provide an upper bound of the number of parties.
On defining ideals or subrings of Hall algebras (with an appendix by Andrew Hubery)
Dong Yang
Mathematics , 2006,
Abstract: Let $A$ be a finitary algebra over a finite field $k$, and $A$-$mod$ the category of finite dimensional left $A$-modules. Let $\mathcal{H}(A)$ be the corresponding Hall algebra, and for a positive integer $r$ let $D_{r}(A)$ be the subspace of $\mathcal{H}(A)$ which has a basis consisting of isomorphism classes of modules in $A$-$mod$ with at least $r+1$ indecomposable direct summands. If $A$ is hereditary of type $A_{n}$, then $D_{r}(A)$ is known to be the kernel of the map from the twisted Hall algebra to the quantized Schur algebra indexed by $n+1$ and $r$. For any $A$, we determine necessary and sufficient conditions for $D_{r}(A)$ to be an ideal and some conditions for $D_{r}(A)$ to be a subring of $\mathcal{H}(A)$. For $A$ the path algebra of a quiver, we also determine necessary and sufficient conditions for $D_{r}(A)$ to be a subring of $\mathcal{H}(A)$.
Non-simply-laced Clusters of Finite Type via Frobenius Morphism
Dong Yang
Mathematics , 2006,
Abstract: By showing the compatibility of folding almost positive roots and folding cluster categories, we prove that there is a one-to-one correspondence between seeds and tilting seeds in non-simply-laced finite cases.
On the affine Schur algebra of type A
Dong Yang
Mathematics , 2006,
Abstract: The affine Schur algebra $\widetilde{S}(n,r)$ (of type A) over a field $K$ is defined to be the endomorphism algebra of the tensor space over the extended affine Weyl group of type $A_{r-1}$. By the affine Schur-Weyl duality it is isomorphic to the image of the representation map of the $\mathcal{U}(\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_{n})$ action on the tensor space when $K$ is the field of complex numbers. We show that $\widetilde{S}(n,r)$ can be defined in another two equivalent ways. Namely, it is the image of the representation map of the semigroup algebra $K\widetilde{GL}_{n,a}$ (defined in Section \ref{S:semigroups}) action on the tensor space and it equals to the 'dual' of a certain formal coalgebra related to this semigroup. By these approaches we can show many relations between different Schur algebras and affine Schur algebras and reprove one side of the affine Schur-Weyl duality.
