Abstract: integrated teaching, a pathway for solving the education problems caused by higher scientific knowledge, may be set through syllabi based on interdisciplinary synthesis and on knowledge generalization. among the several areas of integration of medical sciences, one may find the morphological sciences that study the macroscopic, microscopic and developmental aspects of the body structures in a general and integrated way. the integrated teaching of morphological sciences has been developed in cuba in dentistry and the specialty of bachelor of nursing for some time, so experience has been accumulated in this type of teaching that has many advantages, although some disadvantages for its implementation have been encountered.

Abstract: the analytical programs of the subjects must avoid presenting educational contents in a fragmented way as if they were isolated pieces of knowledge. to solve this problem, it is advisable to scientifically structure the educational contents on the basis of certain didactic principles such as systematization that are supported on logical teaching criteria. each subject has its own internal logic that adapts itself to the learning logic. the subject logic is characterized by gradual and orderly distribution of its contests whereas the learning logic is characterized by the planned work undertaken by students under the permanent guidance of a professor. the objective of this paper was to present the morphological features of the organ systems and their components (bones, joints, muscles, viscera, arteries, veins and nerves) in a logical order to facilitate learning

Performance of lettuce cultivars to protect environmental and soil cover effects

Abstract: the objective this study was to evaluate protected environment and soil cover effects on the performance of lettuce cultivars in the conditions of semi-arid northeastern brazil. we used a randomized blocks experimental design with three factors (2 x 2 x 2) with four repetitions, totaling eight treatment combinations of two lettuce cultivars (babá de ver?o and primavera de ver?o), with two conditions of protected environment (with and without agro-textile) and two conditions of soil cover (with and without carnauba straw). the maravilha de ver?o cultivar produced three more leaves than the babá de ver?o cultivar. in the presence of agro-textile the production cultivars did not differ with or without carnauba straw. however, without agro-textile the cultivars showed differences in production when grown without carnauba straw. this indicates that only one control condition (with agro-textile or with carnauba straw) is sufficient to control weeds and maintain the productive potential of lettuce cultivars.

Abstract: The improvement phosphorus use efficiency (PUE) allows to reach satisfactory yields with lower costs. A breeding strategy for PUE is to increase its components, the phosphorus acquisiton efficiency (PAE) and phosphorus utilization efficiency (PUtE). Thus, this study aimed to identify: i) the relative importance of the components of PUE, in high and low phosphorus; ii) the relationship of root system length and shoot dry mass (SDM) with PUE and its components and; iii) the genetic control of traits associated with the PUE. Forty-one hybrid combinations were evaluated in two experimental environments representing contrasting conditions of availability of phosphorus: low (LP) and high (HP). A randomized block design with two replications were used in simple factorial (hybrid combination x availability of phosphorus) arrangement. Independently of phosphorus availability, PAE was the most important component of the PUE and non-additive genetic effects were more important to the traits associated with the PUE. It was observed that the estimates of specific combining ability for SDM and PUE, in LP and HP, showed similar behavior and magnitude, indicating that the selection based on performance of hybrid combinations for SDM, allows to obtain genotypes with high PUE. O aumento da eficiência no uso de fósforo (PUE) permite alcan ar produtividades satisfatórias com menores custos. Uma estratégia para melhorar esse caráter é elevar seus componentes, às eficiências na absor o (PUE) e na utiliza o de fósforo (PUtE). Assim, objetivou-se com esse estudo identificar: i) a importancia relativa dos componentes da eficiência no uso de fósforo (PUE), em alta e baixa disponibilidade desse nutriente; ii) a rela o do comprimento do sistema radicular (CR) e da massa de parte aérea seca (SDM) com a PUE e seus componentes e, iii) o controle genético dos caracteres associados à PUE. Foram avaliadas 41 combina es híbridas experimentais em duas condi es contrastantes de disponibilidade de fósforo: baixa (LP) e alta (HP). Foi utilizado o delineamento em blocos ao acaso com duas repeti es em esquema fatorial simples (combina o híbrida x disponibilidade de fósforo). Independentemente da disponibilidade de fósforo, a PAE foi o componente mais importante da PUE e os efeitos genéticos n o aditivos apresentaram maior importancia para os caracteres associados à PUE. O objetivo desse estudo foi avaliar os efeitos do ambiente protegido e da cobertura do solo no desempenho de cultivares de alface em condi es do semi-árido nordestino do Brasil. Para isso, foi usado o delineamento em blocos casualizados no esquema fatorial triplo 2 x 2 x 2 com quatro repeti es, totalizando 8 tratamentos combinados entre os dois cultivares de alface (Babá de ver o e primavera de ver o) duas condi es de ambiente protegido (com e sem agrotêxtil) e duas condi es de cobertura do solo (com e sem palha de carnaúba). O cultivar Maravilha de ver o produziu três folhas a mais que o cultivar Babá de ver o. Na presen a de agrotêxtil, a produ o dos cultivares n o diferiu com ou sem palha de carnaúba. No entanto, sem agrotêxtil, os cultivares apresentaram diferen a na produ o quando cultivadas sem o estrato da carnaúba. Isso indica que somente uma condi o de controle (com agrotêxtil ou com palha de carnaúba) é suficiente para controlar as plantas daninhas e manter o potencial produtivo dos cultivares de alface.

Abstract: La ense anza integrada, vía para solucionar los problemas de la educación ocasionados por el aumento de los conocimientos científicos, puede establecerse mediante programas de estudios basados en la síntesis interdisciplinaria y en la generalización de los conocimientos. Entre las diversas áreas de integración de las Ciencias Médicas se encuentran las Ciencias Morfológicas que estudian las estructuras del organismo humano de forma general e integral en sus aspectos macroscópicos, microscópicos y del desarrollo. Abstract: La concepción integrada de la disciplina de Morfología Humana requería la existencia de un libro de texto básico apropiado para esta disciplina, por lo que se emprendió su elaboración. Se explican las características didácticas del libro de texto básico integrado de Morfología Humana, que tiene el propósito de mejorar el proceso docente-educativo y ahorrar recursos económicos. Entre estas características se destacan: el concepto de disciplina docente, la ense anza integrada, el enfoque sistémico, la lógica en el proceso docente, la vinculación básico-clínica y la orientación ideológica aplicados, así como el tratamiento dado a las partes textuales y "no textuales", la bibliografía, la organización general del contenido y el formato. Abstract: En los programas analíticos de las asignaturas hay que evitar presentar los contenidos de ense anza de forma fragmentada, al considerar los conocimientos aislados unos de otros. Para solucionar este problema es conveniente estructurar los contenidos de ense anza sobre bases científicas, a partir de determinados principios didácticos, como la sistematicidad, que se establece con criterios lógicos y pedagógicos. Cada asignatura tiene su lógica interna propia que se adecua a la lógica del aprendizaje. La lógica de la asignatura se caracteriza por la distribución gradual y ordenada de su contenido y la lógica del aprendizaje por la actividad planificada de los estudiantes bajo la orientación sistemática del profesor. Abstract: the problems existing in the study of organic systems of the human body related to the concept of system and apparatus, the number of systems established, the organs composing certain systems and the trend towards studying them isolatedly are dealt with. the purpose of the paper is to apply a systemic approach to the organization of the organic systems, based on psychopedagogical principles, such as the systematization, generalization and integration of knowledge to obtain solid concepts with a higher degree of generalization that give rise to different variants. the main aspects of each of the four groups of organic systems established (somatic, visceral, circulatory and nervous) are exposed. they are presented as concepts and structural models, and their main components are also determined.
