Abstract: The Biological Communication Behavior of the Left and the Right Brains have been constructed through the explanation of the phenomena of their specific part activities encompassing: Prefrontal, Frontal, Parietal, Central, Occipital and Parasagital which have been significantly tested in terms of their impacts in learning acceleration starting from Elementary School to University levels. This study is conducted by means of constructive approach and it employs both the quantitative and qualitative techniques. The result of the study shows that the biological communication of the left and the right brains are reliably tested scientifically from the viewpoint of science. The Problem Based Learning start from elementary school to university level of both social and science groups.

Abstract: after analyzing the quodlibeta septem it is possible to state that ockham's epistemology leads to skeptical conclusions. this statement is grounded on my interpretation of the way in which any cognition process of singular entities develops. my interpretation might be expressed in two propositions: 1) the intuitive and abstractive cognitions are different forms of a simple assent, and 2) within his own espistemological system, ockham tries to avoid skeptical conclusions by way of reflexive cognitions. nevertheless, the idea of reflexive cognitions would not let us justify which thoughts are true. in ockham's epistemology, the idea of reflexive cognitions does not solve the skeptical challenge.
Desarrollo de una herramienta numérica de análisis para losas de hormigón armado sometidas a aceleraciones verticales sísmicas

Abstract: during the chile centre-south 27th february 2010 earthquake, many structures were strongly shaken due to considerable horizontal accelerations; however, the vertical acceleration component was important too. this feature has motivated this work, where the vertical acceleration component effect on reinforced concrete slabs is studied, when this acceleration acts on the slab edges. the methodology contemplated a computer software written in matlab code. this program uses the fem and allows the calculation of stresses and strains in the slab. initially a static analysis was carried out, which consisted of calculating the stress distributions generated by a uniformly distributed static load according to the norm nch 1537of.86. subsequently, the seismic analysis consisted of obtaining the stress envelopes caused by the vertical acceleration recording of san pedro de la paz for the 27/02/2010 earthquake. the theoretical framework, the femformulation and the numerical validation of the results are presented. then, two slabs with different geometry are analysed with the purpose of estimating the stress distributions for the static case and the stress envelopes for the seismic case; as well as the natural frequencies and periods for each slab. the results reveal that stresses induced by the static loads are higher than the induced by the seismic loading for the slab with a fundamental period of 0.031 s, whilst the contrary resulted for the slab with a fundamental period of 0.104 s.

Abstract: Durante el terremoto en el centro sur de Chile del 27 de febrero del 2010 muchas estructuras fueron solicitadas fuertemente debido a aceleraciones horizontales considerables, sin embargo, la componente vertical de aceleración también fue importante. Esta característica ha motivado este trabajo, donde se estudia el efecto que produce la componente vertical de aceleración sobre losas de hormigón armado, teniendo en cuenta que la aceleración se aplica sobre el borde de la losa. La metodología utilizada contempló la elaboración de un programa computacional escrito en lenguaje MATLAB. Este programa utiliza el MEF y permite calcular tanto las tensiones como deformaciones en la losa. Inicialmente se realizó un análisis estático consistente en obtener las distribuciones de tensiones que genera una carga estática uniformemente distribuida de acuerdo a la norma NCh 1537.OJ86. Luego, se realizó un análisis sísmico consistente en obtener las envolventes de tensiones que genera la aplicación del registro vertical de aceleraciones de San Pedro de la Paz del terremoto del 27/02/2010. Se presenta el contexto teórico, la formulación del MEF y la validación numérica de los resultados. Posteriormente se analizan 2 losas de distinta geometría con el propósito de obtener las distribuciones de tensiones para el caso estático y envolventes de tensiones para el caso sísmico; al igual que las frecuencias y periodos naturales de cada losa. Los resultados revelan que las tensiones inducidas por las cargas estáticas son mayores a las inducidas por las cargas sísmicas para la losa con un periodo fundamental de 0.031 s. Mientras que para la losa con un periodo fundamental de 0.104 s resultó lo contrario. Abstract: La epistemología de Guillermo de Ockham expuesta en los Quodlibeta Septem conduce a conclusiones escépticas. La proposición anterior sintetiza la hipótesis de este ensayo. La demostración que aquí expongo está basada en mi propuesta de interpretación sobre el modo en que se desarrolla todo proceso cognoscitivo de singulares. Tal interpretación puede expresarse en dos proposiciones: 1) el conocimiento intuitivo y el conocimiento abstractivo son formas distintas de un asentimiento simple; 2) Ockham, dentro de su propio esquema epistemológico, intenta evitar conclusiones escépticas por medio de la noción de conocimiento reflexivo. Esta última noción, sin embargo, no nos permitiría justificar que nuestras creencias sean verdaderas. Abstract:

The study focused on Pattern Analysis Relationships between Basic Element Institutional Excellence in Education with a focus of the study: What is the actual profile of the basic elements of excellence of educational institutions, influence leadership, strategic planning, as well as students and focus stakeholders, focus staffs and faculty in order to develop the image Parahyangan University (UNPAR) performance by reference to the Performance Excellence Criteria for Education. The method used a qualitative approach and quantitative approach [1] with two models using qualitative-quantitative approaches, namely: two-phase design, dominant-les dominant design, and mixed methodology design. Respondents and the information in this study are a lecturer and head of the University.

Abstract: A typical approach to developing an analysis algorithm for analyzing gravitational wave data is to assume a particular waveform and use its characteristics to formulate a detection criteria. Once a detection has been made, the algorithm uses those same characteristics to tease out parameter estimates from a given data set. While an obvious starting point, such an approach is initiated by assuming a single, correct model for the waveform regardless of the signal strength, observation length, noise, etc. This paper introduces the method of Bayesian model selection as a way to select the most plausible waveform model from a set of models given the data and prior information. The discussion is done in the scientific context for the proposed Laser Interferometer Space Antenna.
