Textile Antenna for 50 ohm Applications
Robi Dahal,Demet Mercan,Lukas Vojtech,Marek Neruda
Advances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering , 2012,
Abstract: The new generation of textile materials have the capability to conduct electricity and at the same time be wearable. There are much more applications involved if an antenna is made from parts that are totally wearable. This new property of conductivity in textile materials is used to implement the wireless functions to clothing. In general, the antennas are made of highly conductive metal with is a solid structure, which results in stable output. The challenge with textile antenna is output stability which is given by pure textile material of the radiating element, dielectric material and also ground, which can be can be folded and twisted. The paper presents the design and fabricated output results of the textile antenna which is used for the 50 ohm system (as GPS or WLAN) at 2,45 GHz.
Other Psychiatric Problems, Can be Seen in Dermatological Diseases
Sibel Mercan
Turkderm , 2010,
Abstract: Borderline personality disorder, addictions, sexual dysfunction disorder and eating disorders are other psychiatric problems which can been seen by dermatological illnesses. Borderline personality disorder, alcohol or drug addiction or eating disorder patients may give harm to their skin as dermatitis artefacta or smoking and alcohol may give harm to skin with direct toxic effect. There is close relationship between skin and sexuality. Sexual dysfunctions in dermatological patients should be evaluated carefully.
Psychologic Outcomes of Dermatological Diseases and Comorbidities
Sibel Mercan
Turkderm , 2010,
Abstract: Psychiatric disorders are comorbid or secondary to dermatologic illnesses in these patients. Depression, anxiety and somatization disorders are most frequent psychiatric disorders accompanied with dermatological disorders. Biopsychosocial evaluation of dermatology patients will help to explain their problems in detail and increase therapeutic success with them.
Primary Psychiatric Diseases
Sibel Mercan
Turkderm , 2010,
Abstract: The etiology of these dermatological diseases is entirely psychiatric origin. These patients show overconcern to their skin or self inflicted dermatoses unconsciously instead of facing with their real problems. In this group, delusions, dermatitis artefacta, trichotillomania, body dysmorphic disorder can be seen. They use denial as defence mechanism to their real psychiatric problems and prefer to apply dermatology instead of psychiatry. Dermatologist should be very careful before asking psychiatric consultation. Denial mechanism help patients to overcome agressive impulses like suicide or prevent further psychiatric damage like psychosis. Dermatologist should see these patients with short and frequent intervals with a good empathic approach. This will help to progress a powerful patient doctor relationship which will lead to a psychiatric evaluation.

Genetic Variation at Karayaka Sheep Herds Based on Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA Markers
Ahmet Okumus,Levent Mercan
Biotechnology , 2007,
Abstract: Turkish Karayaka sheep breed that is one of the important native breed at Black Sea Region in Turkey was genotyped for 13 RAPD primers. Genotypes of 100 were collected from five different herds (BA, BF, LA, LD and KP herds) localized in the Samsun territory. The genetic similarity was obtained on the dendrograms individuals and herd. Within herds, individuals showed a similarity index between 0.857 to 0.420. The similarity index between populations ranged from 0.520 to 0.710. The binary results also were utilised by principal component analysis for comparison of herds and individuals. The genetic relationship of animals shows a difference among herds in terms of number of RAPD bands. These results show that some herds are effected possibly from other sheep breeds or reared purely such as KP.
Structural Interdependence in the Energy Sector in Turkey: Input-Output Analysis
Abdullah Ozdemir,,Mehmet Mercan
Business and Economics Research Journal , 2012,
Abstract: The increasing human needs recently and the dependence of the most of these needs on the energy make this sector more and more significant everyday. Should it known that how the other sectors are depended on the sub-sectors of the energy, it would be so easy to produce policy. Input-output analysis as a unit of economic activity researches the sectors and especially the exchanges of intermediate input between the sectors. So input-output analysis is a major instrument in terms of enabling to research the production and usage of the outputs of the productive sectors in economic scale, in sectoral level and quantatively. In the analysis made by using the input-output tables of Turkey Statistics Office for 2002 it was observed that energy sector has been a key sector recently. Also the relation of energy sector with the others was searched and the most input-output marketing sector of the energy sector was analyzed.
The Efficacy of Specimen Radiography in Clinically Occult Breast Lesions
Trakya Universitesi Tip Fakultesi Dergisi , 2008,
Abstract: Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of specimen radiography for clinically occult breast lesions.Patients and Methods: We retrospectively evaluated specimen radiographs of 215 patients (mean age 48.64±8.4 years; range 28 to 75 years) whose lesions were detected by mammography and/or ultrasonography and localized by wire. Preoperative wire localization was performed under the guidance of ultrasonography in 59 cases (27.4%) and stereotactically in 156 cases (72.6%). The findings of specimen radiography were compared with those of histopathologic examination. Results: Specimen radiographs showed lesions in all but three cases. In these three cases, no breast lesions were found in control mammographies. Conclusion: Breast biopsy specimen radiography is a safe method to ensure complete excision of clinically occult breast lesions.
Matching trees for simplicial complexes and homotopy type of devoid complexes of graphs

Mathematics , 2015,
Abstract: We generalize some homotopy calculation techniques such as splittings and matching trees that are introduced for the computations in the case of the independence complexes of graphs to arbitrary simplicial complexes, and exemplify their efficiency on some simplicial complexes, the devoid complexes of graphs, which are simplicial complexes parametrized by graphs. Additionally, we compute the homotopy type of dominance complexes of chordal graphs.
