Revista PRETEXTO , 2013,
Lopes, Tiago Camarinha;
Revista de Economia Política , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-31572012000200010
Abstract: the historical phases of the debate on the transformation of values into production prices. even though the transformation problem in general does not have a widen accepted solution, it is possible to recognize scientific progress when the historical phases of the debate are put side by side in order to complement each other. therefore, the debate originated from the challenge of the conciliation of the law of value with an equal average rate of profit, though sometimes said to be unfruitful by economists, shows evolution in the long run because it forces non-marxist economic schools to confront concretely the quality side of value in theory and to develop abstract models of planned economy in practice.
This article aims to describe the political characteristics of the Plano Real by analyzing the ideals of the project and its realizations. The plan of stabilization had its political profile dominated by the neoliberal movement, present in the international logic of valorization by the time it was realized. Therefore, if on one side inflation was controlled, by the other side, Brazil continued without a own direction on how to achieve development and grow. From this perspective, the proposals for fiscal adjustment had only an indirect relation to the struggle against inflation. It concludes that the political profile of the plan was strongly influenced by external pressures of controlling public expenditures. So, the fiscal adjustment was combined with the Larida proposal in the successful Plano Real.

L. Abrunheiro,M. Camarinha
Mathematics , 2014, DOI: 10.1142/S0219887814500388
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to use the framework of Lie algebroids to study optimal control problems for affine connection control systems on Lie groups. In this context, the equations for critical trajectories of the problem are geometrically characterized as a Hamiltonian vector field.

Conference Papers in Science , 2013, DOI: 10.1155/2013/243621
Abstract: We consider a second-order variational problem depending on the covariant acceleration, which is related to the notion of Riemannian cubic polynomials. This problem and the corresponding optimal control problem are described in the context of higher order tangent bundles using geometric tools. The main tool, a presymplectic variant of Pontryagin’s maximum principle, allows us to study the dynamics of the control problem. 1. Introduction In [1], Skinner and Rusk obtained a unified formalism for Lagrangian and Hamiltonian dynamics of autonomous mechanical systems, and this issue has been extended in many directions. In particular, there is an increasing interest in the study of optimal control problems from that geometric viewpoint, which involves the presymplectic algorithm of Gotay-Nester [2]. Riemannian cubic polynomials can be seen as a generalization of cubic polynomials to non-Euclidean spaces [3, 4]. These objects are stationary curves in a Riemannian manifold for a second-order variational problem with Lagrangian given by the norm squared covariant acceleration. There are many applications that inspire the study of those curves, namely, problems of interpolation in computer graphics and problems in the context of robotics and aeronautics as the trajectory planning of a rigid body. As far as we know, the first Hamiltonian description of the optimal control problem whose control system is associated with the variational problem mentioned in the previous paragraph was considered in [5] but from a non-geometric perspective. The aim of this paper is to give a precise and geometric description of that optimal control problem. For this purpose, we adapt the presymplectic geometric version of the Pontryagin maximum principle based on the Skinner-Rusk methodology, which was proposed for the control theory by several authors (see, e.g., [6–9] and the references mentioned in these papers). Here, we develop the work started in [10, 11] where that intrinsic version of the problem was first presented. We specify to our problem all the details of the presymplectic approach and reduce the study of the problem to the study of an interesting symplectic Hamiltonian system. The approach used in this work has important implications from the point of view of the integrability of the dynamical system on compact and connected Lie groups. For a detailed description of the optimal control problem for compact and connected Lie groups, we refer the interested reader to [12–14]. The organization of the paper is as follows. In Section 2, we review the concept and some
Cubic polynomials on Lie groups: reduction of the Hamiltonian system
L. Abrunheiro,M. Camarinha,J. Clemente-Gallardo
Mathematics , 2011, DOI: 10.1088/1751-8113/44/35/355203
Abstract: This paper analyzes the optimal control problem of cubic polynomials on compact Lie groups from a Hamiltonian point of view and its symmetries. The dynamics of the problem is described by a presymplectic formalism associated with the canonical symplectic form on the cotangent bundle of the semidirect product of the Lie group and its Lie algebra. Using these control geometric tools, the relation between the Hamiltonian approach developed here and the known variational one is analyzed. After making explicit the left trivialized system, we use the technique of Marsden-Weinstein reduction to remove the symmetries of the Hamiltonian system. In view of the reduced dynamics, we are able to guarantee, by means of the Lie-Cartan theorem, the existence of a considerable number of independent integrals of motion in involution.
Aquifer Vulnerability Assessment Methods: The Non-Independence of Parameters Problem  [PDF]
Daniela Ducci
Journal of Water Resource and Protection (JWARP) , 2010, DOI: 10.4236/jwarp.2010.24034
Abstract: This paper investigates the relationship between the two parameters, aquifer media and hydraulic conductiv-ity, and assesses their reliability for aquifer vulnerability assessment. To evaluate the possible non-inde-pendence of the parameters in question, sensitivity analysis procedure was used in a GIS environment. The procedure was tested in three areas where aquifer vulnerability was assessed, corresponding to three different hydrogeological settings. The applications demonstrate that non-independence is confirmed and is more evident in alluvial and volcano-pyroclastic aquifers.

Revista Brasileira de Zootecnia , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S1516-35982011000700020
Abstract: the objective of this experiment was to study yolk pigmentation stability in omega 3 (ω-3) enriched eggs stored under different temperatures in zeaxanthin equivalent (by using visible light spectrophotometer) and visual score (with values obtained by yolk color fan) and to verify the correlation among those methodologies. three hundred big eggs from isa brown hens were distributed into two lots each one containing 150 eggs, stored at room temperature (26.5oc) or under refrigeration (7.9oc) for 35 days. it was used a completely randomized design in a 2 × 6 factorial arrangement (storage temperature × storage period). pigmentation observed with the yolk color fan was steady during the experiment period when eggs were kept under refrigeration and it reduced when stored at room temperature. at spectrophotometric quantification, carotenoids decreased in both temperatures studied. there is a high correlation between the methods of analysis for eggs stored at room temperature and for eggs stored under refrigeration as well, but this correlation is sharper when eggs are stored under refrigeration.

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the physical-chemical quality of fish used in a random sampling of 54 samples of sushi and sashimi tuna and salmon obtained in restaurants with the support of Sanitary Surveillance of the city of Rio de Janeiro from July to August 2011. The temperature were measured at the time of sampling. We carried out physical and chemical tests to determine pH, ammonia, H2S, total volatile bases (TVB), trimethylamine (TMA) and histamine. All samples were exposed to inadequate temperature. Only one of the samples was found above the recommended pH value by law. Five were positive for ammonia and two positive results for H2S. The average results of TVB ranged between 9.43 and 12.37 mg N-BVT/100g and the amount of TMA ranged between 0.57 and 0.96 mg N-TMA/100g, being within the recommended standard. The histamine was found in five samples, ranging between 1 and 10 mg/100g. Considering the samples studied, seven (12,96%) showed some abnormalities on the evaluated parameters. In conclusion, the consumption of sushi and sashimi can cause risk to consumer health. Therefore, we suggest that a continuous attention from the authorities should be held on this type of food due to their high perishability and risk to public health.
