Namoro na terceira idade e o processo de ser saudável na velhice: recorte ilustrativo de um grupo de mulheres

Abstract: Os idosos sofrem inúmeras repress es culturais e preconceitos, porém a discuss o é ainda maior quando se aborda a sexualidade. A sociedade designa a mulher e o homem idosos como incapazes de exercerem sua sexualidade, ainda que, independentemente disso, o desejo sexual se mantenha presente em todas as fases da vida. Sendo a afetividade um determinante do processo do envelhecer saudável, esta pesquisa objetiva descobrir como as mulheres experienciam o namoro na terceira idade. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório e descritivo de abordagem qualitativa, cujas palavras-chave s o: enfermagem, família, idosos, sexualidade. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida com mulheres que freqüentam grupos de terceira idade e que vivenciaram o namoro nesta fase da vida, no período de dezembro de 2003 a mar o de 2004, no município de Passo Fundo. Utilizou-se grupo focal como técnica de coleta de dados e, para tratamento, a análise temática (MINAYO, 1996). Como resultado emergiram as seguintes temáticas: namorar é a melhor coisa da vida (é carinho, cuidado e zelo); entre a censura e o apoio (o olhar da família sobre o namoro dos mais velhos); namoro na terceira idade (tempo de rever valores e conceitos); prazer e perigo (quando a confian a sublima a precau o).

Abstract: this research had the objective of evaluating the efficiency of the "carnaúba" wax in post-harvest of persimmon fruits (diospyros kaki), cv. giombo. the treatments were the rapid immersion of fruits into solutions containing 12.5, 25 and 50 % of the commercial product meghwax ecf 100?, being a 30 % non ionic emulsion of carnaúba wax. after drying, fruits were stored at 4 oc and 80 % rh. chemical and physical characteristics of the fruits were measured throughout sixty days, at fifteen day intervals, followed by a 4-day period at 20 oc simulating commercialization periods. the pulp firmness, ph, soluble solids, titratable acidity, water loss, tannins and ascorbic acid contents were evaluated. the use of carnaúba wax, regardless of the concentration, diminished the loss of fresh mass of the fruits at up to 7.8 % during storage periods of 60 days under cold chamber conditions, followed by a 4-day period at 20 oc. the immersion of the fruits into 12.5 % of wax solutions was efficient to reduce losses of ascorbic acid and pulp firmness, extending therefore the storage period in 6 days. throughout the time and ripening of the fruits, reductions of the acidity and increases of ph were also observed in the current study.

Abstract: purpose: to check the time of transition from the feeding tube to oral feeding in newborns with bronchopulmonar dysplasia (bpd); observe the difficulties occurred during the oral feeding./ methods: the speech pathology department reviewed thirty-two past cases of newborns born in the pedro ernesto hospital of rio de janeiro state university. the first group was composed of eighteen newborns with bpd, while a second group was composed of eighteen healthy newborns born between 29 and 32 weeks used as a control group. we observed in both groups the following items: time it took for the newborns to transition from the feeding tube to the oral one, the difficulties presented during feeding periods, and finally the type of oral alimentation used by the discharge time. results: the mean and standard deviation of the sample were 18.22 days and 14.79, respectively; for the control group it was 6.50 and 3.68, respectively (p=0.002). the group with bpd showed respiratory stress, lack of coordination between suctions, breathing and swallowing, and suction dysfunction. they also fell asleep during alimentation, showing extreme physical strain and defensive behaviors. despite these results, 10 newborns (52.63%) were discharged on exclusive breastfeeding and 3 (15,78%) on mixed feeding (cupfeeding with breastfeeding). conclusion: patients with bpd need extended time (18 days) to learn oral feeding, and moreover, they are susceptible to intercurrence during feeding. nevertheless, it was possible to testify an exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract: OBJETIVO: verificar o tempo de transi o da sonda para a via oral plena nos lactentes com Displasia Broncopulmonar (DBP) e descrever as intercorrências observadas durante os períodos de alimenta o. MéTODOS: revis o de prontuários do setor de Fonoaudiologia de 32 lactentes nascidos no Hospital Universitário Pedro Ernesto (HUPE/UERJ) divididos em 2 grupos. Grupo 1: 18 lactentes com diagnóstico de DBP; grupo 2: 18 lactentes com idade gestacional entre 29 e 32 semanas sem complica es clínicas relevantes que foram utilizados como grupo controle. Foram registrados o tempo de transi o alimentar, as intercorrências durante a alimenta o e via oral na alta hospitalar de ambos os grupos. RESULTADOS: média e desvio padr o do tempo de transi o alimentar dos grupos 1 e 2 respectivamente: 18,22 dias e 14,79; 6,50 dias e 3,68, com p=0,002. Nos broncodisplásicos foram comuns intercorrências respiratórias, dificuldade de coordena o suc oXrespira oXdegluti o, dificuldades no padr o oral, além de sinais de retraimento e rebaixamento do estado de consciência durante a alimenta o. Apesar disso, 10 lactentes (52,63%) tiveram alta em aleitamento materno exclusivo e 3 (15,78%) em aleitamento misto. CONCLUS O: pacientes com DBP precisaram de um período maior de treino de VO (18 dias), além de serem passíveis de intercorrências durante a alimenta o. No entanto, constata-se que foi possível o aleitamento materno exclusivo. La enfermera como cuidadora por excelencia juega un papel muy importante en el cuidado del ni o a través de todas las etapas, inclusive desde antes de su nacimiento. Por esto nos urge replantear nuestra visión e ir más allá apropiándonos de nuestro campo trabajando interdisciplinariamente y vinculando mucho más a la familia. He aquí una propuesta.
