A Note on a Combinatorial Conjecture  [PDF]
Guixin Deng
Open Journal of Discrete Mathematics (OJDM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ojdm.2013.31010
Abstract: It is difficult to find Boolean functions achieving many good cryptographic properties. Recently, Tu and Deng obtained two classes of Boolean functions with good properties based on a combinatorial conjecture about binary strings. In this paper, using different approaches, we prove this conjecture is true in some cases. This conjecture has resisted different attempts of proof since it is hard to find a recursive method. In this paper we give a recursive formula in a special case.
The Herd Behavior of Risk-Averse Investor Based on Information Cost  [PDF]
Guangming Deng
Journal of Financial Risk Management (JFRM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jfrm.2013.24015
Abstract: In this paper, the traditional model of herd behavior was improved and extended. The herd behavior of risk-averse investor based on information cost was studied in the financial market. By refining the concept of Bayes equilibrium and the analysis of the behavior of investors, it was discovered that the herd behavior of the second risk-averse investor did not produce until the first risk-averse investors chose to buy information.

Pei Deng
Journal of Service Science and Management (JSSM) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/jssm.2015.84065
Abstract: The conception of community O2O is very popular currently in China, which has become the focus of attention in the field of e-commerce. However, since at the preliminary exploration stage everything in this area changes very quickly, there is not yet mature business model to mimic. Many of the problems should be studied and clarified. Taking the rise and failure of “ding-dong district” as a case, this article attempts to analyze the unsuccessful reason that “ding-dong district” imitates the US version “Nextdoor” in the context of China, and put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, aiming to provide related reference for Chinese enterprises in the exploration and development of community e-commerce.

Zhaoming Deng
Open Journal of Business and Management (OJBM) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ojbm.2016.43042
Abstract: The idea of National Park is widely accepted in the world, which has also become a scientific measure for sustainable development. Despite of the fact that the management mechanisms of national parks in different countries may differ, there are three principles which are shared by the international national parks and to be maintained, namely, people oriented, state dominance, and adjusting measures to local conditions. People oriented is the most fundamental principle as well as the primary purpose of the construction of national park, while state dominance and adjusting measures to local conditions are two guarantees of the fulfillment of social welfare. In order to construct the Chinese national park system, China should learn from international experiences and adopt the three principles. During this transitional and learning period, China is confronted with several problems, such as “tragedy of commons”, multi-sectoral management, insufficient fund etc. To deal with these issues, the current Chinese national-level parks should be carefully chosen as pilot projects, and then a unified legal system and management system should be gradually set up during this trail period. Eventually, an integrated and comprehensive Chinese National Park system should be established.

Jing Deng
Open Journal of Modern Linguistics (OJML) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ojml.2016.64030
Abstract: As a prevalent synchronous form of CMC communication, internet relay chat (IRC) is a major mode of real-time CMC communication in today’s Chinese society. Under the framework of Brown and Levinson’s face theory, this study investigated the politeness strategies in public Chinese QQ chat groups where most of the interlocutors were anonymous with high social distance. Politeness strategies in public Chinese QQ chat groups include positive politeness strategy, negative politeness strategy, bald-on-record and off-record strategy.

Zhaoming Deng
Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2016.48002
Abstract: In an era of information explosion, to make good use of tourism information has become an urgent issue. This paper studies the composition of the tourism information value and the degree of its importance based on the tourists’ perception. Through factor analysis, five factors were identified from tourism information value: hedonic value, risk-avoidance value, utilitarian value, social value and self-actualization value. According to different degree of importance evaluation, the tourism information value was divided into three hierarchical levels, namely, the core value of information, the basic information value and the relationship information value, while tourists considered the risk-avoidance value as the most important one. In practical terms, the findings of this study can be useful to marketers in creating promotional campaigns, providing them with a better understanding of what information appeals to their markets.

Wenying Deng
Modern Economy (ME) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/me.2016.710110
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to analyze the competitiveness of Knowledge Intensive Business Services (KIBS) in Hong Kong and Singapore from 2005 to 2015. In terms of methodology, we employ three indices—Export Market Share (MS), Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Relative Trade Advantage (RTA) to measure competitiveness in selected sectors. Results show that although Hong Kong and Singapore have taken up greater world market share, neither of them shows strong comparative advantage in overall KIBS. Based on the RCA index, Singapore has stronger comparative advantage than Hong Kong on overall KIBS, while the values of RTA index reveal reverse conclusion. Both the RCA and the RTA indices exhibit the consistent result that the greatest competitive advantage is earned by financial services sector in Hong Kong as well as Singapore. Of particular note, according to the values of two revealed comparative advantage indices, neither Hong Kong nor Singapore has comparative advantage in charge for the use of intellectual property sector.

Jiaqing Deng
Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2017.53014
Abstract: Innovation is inseparable from the development of enterprise and the improvement of enterprises, and the improvement of innovation is inseparable from the supporting system. In the background of advocating supply-side reform in our country, this paper examines the adjustment of elements structure in the supply-side reform, by constructing models to analyze the need of money when enterprises decided to invest in innovation as well as how financial system affects their need. The result of the model shows that the interest rate of loan determinates whether the company decides to undertake technological innovation. Indirect financing market can stimulate enterprises’ R&D through powering down the risk premium; direct financing market can promote R&D investment by adjusting the ratio between interest rate and riskless interest rate.
