Study on Chronic Diseases Comprehensive Intervention in Baoji of Shaanxi Province in China  [PDF]

Abstract: Background: There is very limited data available about the epidemiology trial on chronic diseases comprehensive intervention. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of comprehensive intervention on chronic diseases in Baoji and provide basis for the improvement of chronic diseases intervention measures. Methods: Using four stages stratified random sampling method, comprehensive intervention measures were implemented on intervention group (575 individuals) respectively aimed at three crowds of whole population, high risk population and chronic diseases patients. The control group (782 individuals) did not receive special treatment. Two groups were evaluated effect after one year observation. Results: The chronic diseases prevalence rate of whole population in intervention group was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05), the blood pressure level and smoking proportion of high risk population in intervention group were lower than in control group (P < 0.05), and the blood pressure, blood glucose control rate of chronic diseases patients in intervention group were higher than in control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Comprehensive intervention could prevent the rise of chronic diseases prevalence. The intervention is effective in reducing or halting risk factors of high risk population, particularly in controlling blood pressure, blood glucose of patients. We should establish government leading, department cooperation, social participation, longtime and classified comprehensive intervention mechanism of chronic diseases. We believe that whole population should control the risk factors, high risk population should early diagnosis and treatment, chronic diseases patients should normalized management, and it could be applied in other counties.
Association between Dietary Patterns and Chronic Diseases among Chinese Adults in Baoji

Abstract: Objective. This study was aimed to identify the dietary patterns among Chinese adults in Baoji and explore the association between these dietary patterns and chronic diseases. Methods. With multistage stratified random sampling and semiquantitative food frequency questionnaire, the prevalence of chronic disease and dietary intake was investigated in 2013. We used factor analysis to establish dietary patterns. Results. A total of 5020 participants over 15 years old were included in this study. Five dietary patterns were identified in Baoji named as protein, balanced, beans, prudent, and traditional patterns. There are many protective effects with protein, balanced, and beans dietary patterns on chronic diseases. Conclusions. We should encourage Baoji city residents to choose protein, balanced, and beans dietary patterns and abandon prudent and traditional patterns. 1. Introduction According to the study of World Health Organization (WHO), cardiovascular diseases caused 33.7% of all deaths in the world, while other chronic diseases were responsible for 26.5% [1]. Globally, it has been estimated that premature deaths resulting from hypertension annually are approximately 7.1 million, which account for 64 million disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) [2]. Hypertension plays a major etiologic role in the development of ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, and cardiac and renal failure, and it is a significant risk factor for mortality and disability rates throughout the world [3]. Dietary patterns carry out extraction and analysis on dietary status overall and consider the interaction between all kinds of foods and nutrients. So dietary patterns represent a broader picture of food and nutrient consumption and may thus be more predictive of diseases risk than individual food or nutrient [4]. Furthermore, in addition to studying the role of individual nutrients, dietary patterns have become a focus for nutritional research [5]. Factor analysis of dietary patterns helps us understand the proportion of all kinds of foods in dietary intake by dimension reduction. The variable which represents correlation coefficient between foods and patterns is factor loading, and a positive loading designates positive association with the factor, while a negative loading designates negative association with the factor, and the larger the loading of a given food item to the factor, the greater the contribution of that food item to a specific factor. The Colored Oil Property Effect on Switching Behavior of Electro-Fluidic Display  [PDF]

Abstract: The switchable oil layer driven by electrowetting gives visible color and light valve control, which is the basis of Electro-Fluidic Displays. The colored oil’s property is a key factor that influences the Electro-Fluidic Displays switching behavior. A purple oil was formulated by the oil-soluble purple dye in decane in this study. The dye molecule itself is nonpolar and it doesn’t dissolve in water. The concentration of colored oil influenced the oil/water interfacial tension and oil viscosity. The relationship of EFD switching behavior with oil/water interfacial tension, oil viscosity, and oil conductivity has been systematically investigated. The oil/water interfacial tension decreased with increasing oil concentration, in the meanwhile, the conductivity increased. Oil conductivity was one of the key factors that influenced the Electro-Fluidic Displays optical property. We found for the first time that at the lower oil concentration (2% - 10%), the interfacial tension plays a main role effect on the rupture voltage and response time, but as the conductivity of higher concentration of colored oil increased (at 20%), the rupture voltage-controlled both by conductivity and interfacial tension.

Abstract: Inorganic arsenic is a recognized human carcinogen, but the mechanism of arsenic carcinogenesis is not well understood. There is a variation in acute and chronic toxicity of arsenic among mammalian species and it has also been suggested that there is a marked variation in susceptibility among individuals. In addition to factors such as age, gender, the level of arsenic exposure, nutritional status, recent researched indicated that the variations in susceptibility to arsenic may also be related to genetic polymorphism, such as polymorphism of the genes of GST, MTHFR, XPD, MPO, CAT and p53, etc. Understanding the role of genetic factors is crucial to further clarify the mechanism of arsenic toxicity.

Abstract: In the title complex, [Cu2(CN)2(C6H7N)]n, there are two copper atoms with different coordination environments. One Cu atom (Cu1) is linked to the two cyanide ligands, one N atom from a pyridine ring while the other (Cu2) is coordinated by the two cyanide ligands in a slightly distorted tetrahedral geometry and linked to Cu1, forming a triangular coordination environment. The Cu atoms are bridged by bidentate cyanide ligands, forming an infinite Cu–CN chain. One cyanide ligand is equally disordered over two sets of sites, exchanging C and N atoms coordinated to both metal atoms. However, one cyanide group is not disordered and it coordinates to Cu1 via the N atom whereas its C-atom counterpart coordinates Cu2. The 3-methylpyridine (3MP) ligand coordinates through the N atom to Cu1 as a terminal ligand, which originates from decyanation of 3-pyridylacetonitrile under hydrothermal conditions. Adjacent Cu–CN chains are interconnected through Cu...Cu interactions [2.8364 (10) ], forming a three-dimensional framework.
Empirical Study on the Impact of User Participation on Service Value  [PDF]

Abstract: As enterprise systems (ES) becomes increasingly pervasive and commoditized in organizations, its service value emerges as a critical issue. Drawing on the customer value theory, this paper studies the relationship between user participation and service value of enterprise systems in the stage of enterprise system improvement. A survey of 220 employees in a large-scale industrial enterprise was taken to investigate the relationship between them. User participation has direct positive impacts on service value in the process of system improvement. Furthermore, information service quality and non-monetary sacrifice serve as mediating variables of the relationship between user participation in system improvement and service value even after controlling for individual variables such as users’ age, education, and IT-related education. This paper contributes to the theory on whether user participation matters in the process of enterprise system improvement. The findings can also encourage managerial practitioners to exploit user participation in organizations, in order to enhance service value of enterprise system.
A Chinese Product Feature Extraction Method Based on KNN Algorithm  [PDF]

The product feature set of online reviews obtained by the current product feature extraction methods has a low coverage rate of review information. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a method of product feature extraction based on KNN algorithm. We establish the classification system of product feature set firstly. Then we extract part of product features as training set manually, and according to similarity between words and the classification system, the product features of all reviews are quickly classified and extracted. At last, the PMI algorithm is used to filter and supplement it to improve the correct rate and the review information coverage rate of product feature set. Through the examples of online clothing reviews data in the Taobao platform, we prove that this method can effectively improve the review information coverage rate of product feature set.
Mechanism of persistent naming topological entity supporting collaborative CAD

Abstract: Direct referring to topological entity of B-Rep domain in feature's parametric definition domain is inherent limitation of previous persistent naming topological entity method. Therefore, a feature-based solution for topological entity naming was proposed. Firstly, uniform naming method for feature face was established and its name remained invariable during the modeling procedure. Secondly, the expression between topological entity and feature face was established and topological entity expressed by feature face was referred to during the course of feature's parametric definition, and as a result, the problem of persistent naming topological entity for feature-based collaborative CAD was solved. Thirdly, the concept of reference face was proposed and utilized to solve ambiguous referring problem, which arose from topological face splitting, topological edge splitting and multiply intersection edges. Based on the above mentioned, topological face and topological edge matching method was discussed in detail.
Broadband perfect light trapping in the thinnest monolayer graphene-MoS$_{2}$ photovoltaic cell

Abstract: The light absorption of a monolayer graphene-molybdenum disulfide photovoltaic (GM-PV) cell in a wedge-shaped microcavity with a spectrum-splitting structure is investigated theoretically. The GM-PV cell, which is three times thinner than the traditional photovoltaic cell, exhibits up to 98\% light absorptivity in a wide wavelength range. This rate exceeds the fundamental limit of nanophotonic light trapping in solar cells. The effects of defect layer thickness, GM-PV cell position in the microcavity, incident angle, and lens aberration on the light absorption rate of the GM-PV cell is explored. Regardless of errors, the GM-PV cell can still achieve at least 90\% light absorptivity with the current technology. Our proposal provides different methods to design light-trapping structures and apply spectrum-splitting systems.
