Clinical and functional features of patients with isolated systolic hypertension

Abstract: Aim. To compare vasomotor endothelial function, aortic elastic properties and characteristics of left ventricular (LV) remodeling in patients with isolated systolic (ISHT) and sistolo-diastolic (SDHT) hypertension.Material and methods. Echocardiography, assessment of aorta elastic properties and endothelial vasomotor function were performed in 24 ISHT patients (mean age 73.6 years, mean disease duration 24.8 years) and 52 SDHT patients (mean age 58.0 years, mean disease duration 12.8 years). The age of hypertension onset did not differ significantly in patients of both groups.Results. Aorta elastic coefficient in ISHT patients was 6 times lower than this in SDHT patients (1.00 vs 6.36 mm2/mm Hg, respectively), and vasodilation coefficient (which reflects an ability of vessels to expanding in response to blood flow acceleration) less on 35% (10.9 vs 16.8 standard units, respectively). Patients of ISHT and SDHT groups did not differ in thickness of the interventricular septum (14.8 vs 14.3 mm, respectively), and LV ejection fraction (59.9 vs 60.4%, respectively). However, LV posterior wall thickness in ISHT patients was 3.0 mm less than this in SDHT patients, as well as amplitude of systolic displacement of LV fibrous ring (which reflects LV longitudinal systolic function) was 0.9 cm bigger, respectively.Conclusion. Elderly age, aorta high stiffness, asymmetric LV hypertrophy and impaired LV longitudinal systolic function are typical clinical and functional features of ISHT patients.
Air filtering through the building envelope

Abstract: Recently, building envelopes with efficient insulation of low thermal conductivity, including light building envelope, which allow to increase thermal protection of buildings, are widely used. This new building envelope require a comprehensive study, because previously considered unimportant features often start to make significant effect on the performance characteristics of structures.To reduce the air permeability in the constructions wind-proof membranes are used. However, the influence of air filtering in such structures has not been researched yet.When the air-permeable building envelopes are used, the heat flow is moved away also due to the air filtering. It is proposed to take into account the convective heat transfer mechanism commensurate with the conductive heat transfer mechanism. In the formula for determining the heat flow due to the air filtering the filtration coefficient of air through the building envelope is used. This coefficient is found experimentally for light building envelopes.Furthermore, the empirical expression for the filtration coefficient, which relates it and the coefficient of heat loss is found.

Abstract: Effect of air filtration on the temperature and humidity conditions of building structures is significant. This explains the great attention which is paid to the question of air filtering through the building envelope. In the air permeable building envelopes heat flow is carried out including by air filtration. Filtering transfer of conservative addition is comparable with heat transfer by thermal conduction. A method for calculating the heat flow by filtering heat transfer was proposed. Calculation examples for lightweight building envelope were given.
Integrated characteristics of thermogravitational convection in the air layer of ventilated facades

Abstract: Ventilated facades solve at least two topical problems for civil engineering: it allows reducing the humidity (concentration of water vapor) on warmed wall surface and reducing heat losses from facade to the environment. The major factor in solving these problems is the air stream, washing the facade wall in the vertical direction. For the free-convective flow the width of the channel, providing the maximum consumption of the air is called optimum width of the ventilated channel. The free-convective flow in a vertical slot gap of facade ventilated space will be stylized by a barotropic flow with an indicator of a polytrope of n, n < k proportional to intensity of a heat transfer between hot wall and air. The motivation of a choice of the sizes of the vertical ventilated channel of ventilated facades in the conditions of the free-convective flow is given in the present article and it is based on using results of numerical experiments run on real ventilated designs.

Abstract: The design of ventilated facades becomes more and more popular.Ventilated facades are installed on erected and reconstructed public, office and residential buildings.In this article the basic problems relating to the ventilated facade system are considered. The design, installation process, thermotechnical properties, fire safety, economic efficiency are considered. The purpose of the article is the prevention in practice the most often errors which arise in time of installation, operation and dismantle of such systems.After the analysis following basic problems of systems with ventilated facades have been allocated:calculation of necessary air gap;selection of qualitative materials and installation;fire safety;maintenance of required hermal resistance.Application of ventilated facades systems for warming of buildings and increasing of their power efficiency demands the thought over and complex approach. Such systems are not so economic, energy effective and durable as it is considered to be.

Simulation of formation of system consumer – company – partner , the effect from its interaction and budget of information interaction

Abstract: The aim of the article is making a model concerning the formation of consumer-enterprise-partner system structure, effect from their interaction and the budget formation of informational cooperation of enterprise with partners and consumers, in the context of which a complex of economic and mathematical models will be offered concerning determination of enterprise, partners, consumers cooperation taking into account the competitive conditions and budget formation of the enterprise communications in the context of consumer-enterprise-partner system.The results of the analysis. On the basis of developed and theoretically grounded concept of strategic management of enterprise marketing activity development, the unique feature of which is the usage of synergetical paradigm principles and taking into account the interactions that appear in the process of enterprise, it's partners and consumers cooperation it was proved the utility of combination consumer, enterprise and partner into a system. It was defined that consumer-enterprise-partner system meets the requirements of system analysis and provides the receiving of synergetical effect and transferring of management at the enterprise to a new level of proactive management, which creates the competitive advantages for a long period in terms of dynamic environment.Conclusions and directions of futher researches. There was developed a complex of economic and mathematical models formation of consumer-enterprise-partner system structure, was defined the effect from their functioning and the budget formation of informational cooperation taking into account the offered classification of expenses (on additional features:orientation, business partners appeal and readiness of the consumer, type of field) that will allow enterprises the make models of consumer-enterprise-partner system connections for effective and appropriate informational cooperation. The results of its application that have been tested at 40 machine-building enterprises confirm its practical significance.
