Intelligent Servo Drives Control Based on a Single Fieldbus Network
D. Puiu,F. Moldoveanu
Telfor Journal , 2010,
Abstract: Due to the quick evolution of manufacturing processes, the demand for more flexible automation systems is on the rise. To answer these requirements, distributed motion control architecture based on intelligent drives tends more and more to replace the traditional solutions. This paper presents the control of an articulated arm robot with two local intelligent servo drives connected on a CAN network to a motion controller which receives the trajectory of the robot from a computer. The control structure is based on a single CAN network where local intelligent servo drives, a motion controller and a computer are connected.
COPPER (II) CATALYZED OXIDATION OF 2-AMINOPHENOL IN AQUEOUS MEDIUM
Mihaela Puiu,D. Oancea
Analele Universitatii Bucuresti : Chimie , 2004,
Abstract: The kinetics of 2-aminophenol oxidation with oxygen from air catalyzed by severalcopper (II) compounds in aqueous medium was studied using a spectrophotometric method. Thecatalysts efficiencies in initial conditions were discussed in relation to their states in aqueoussolution.
THE INFLUENCE OF SELECTIVE SOLVATION ON THE KINETICS OF REACTION BETWEEN MALACHITE GREEN AND HYDROXIDE ION
Adina Raducan,Mihaela Puiu,D. Oancea
Analele Universitatii Bucuresti : Chimie , 2007,
Abstract: The kinetics of the reaction between malachite green and hidroxide ion was studied in several binary mixtures of water with alcohols (methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, ethylene glycol and glycerol) and aprotic solvents (DMSO). In all solvents, the selective (preferential) solvation is present. A method for estimating the dielectric constant in the solvation shell and the constant of preferential solvation was proposed. The results indicate that the composition of solvent in the solvation shell depends on the nature of nonaqueous component; in solvents containing ethanol, 1-propanol and glycerol, the water is preponderant in the solvation shell, while in solvents containing methanol, ethylene glyol and DMSO, the nonaqueous component is in greater proportion than in bulk solution.
STABILIZATION OF CATALASE IN THE PRESENCE OF ADDITIVES
Madalina Nita,Adina Raducan,Mihaela Puiu,D. Oancea
Analele Universitatii Bucuresti : Chimie , 2007,
Abstract: The stability of catalase in the reaction of hydrogen peroxide decomposition was studied in the presence of some potential stabilizers: ethylene glycol, glycerol, fructose, sucrose, fucose, ribitol and 2 nitro phenyl-β-D-galacto-pyranosid (niphegal). The sucrose, ethylene glycol and glycerol showed the best performance for long-term storage at 30°C. The stability of catalase increases with the amount of additive used.
ERROR PROPAGATION IN EVALUATION OF THE MAXIMUM EXPERIMENTAL SAFE GAP VIA QUENCHING DISTANCE MEASUREMENTS
Mihaela Puiu,Nicoleta-Gabriela Musat,V. Munteanu,D. Oancea
Analele Universitatii Bucuresti : Chimie , 2008,
Abstract: The indirect evaluation of the maximum experimental safe gap for explosive mixtures involves the measurement of the quenching distance for different initial pressures and compositions. A study concerning the precision of the experimental method was made. The low values of the standard deviations of the parameters in the empirical correlations initial pressure/quenching distance and quenching distance/maximum experimental safe gap allow the conclusion that the propagation of uncertainty does not significantly affect the calculated safety gap, and the precision of the method is maintained in acceptable limits.
EVOLUTION OF THE MAIN RETAILERS ON THE ROMANIAN MARKET
Silvia PUIU
Management & Marketing , 2010,
Abstract: The paper presents the retail market in Romania, the main retailers and their evolution in our country. The theme is better highlighted in the foreign professional literature, but also Romanian economists analyzed some features of this subject. The purpose of this paper was to examine and interpret how Romanian retailers evolved during the period 2002-2009. A qualitative method was chosen for this research, and the empirical data was gathered from the companies in the Romanian retail sector. Primary data was collected through annual information from their websites, annual reports and different articles. The research is useful for companies, in order to understand and anticipate the tendencies in the field.
DAS OXYMORON “LAPTE NEGRU” / “SCHWARZE MILCH” BEI VASILE VOICULESCU UND PAUL CELAN
PUIU IONI??
Agathos : an International Review of the Humanities and Social Sciences , 2013,
Abstract: The surprising connection of the terms “milk” and “black”, which represents the leitmotif and structuring symbol in the poem Death Fugue by Paul Celan, also appeared in various forms, during the year 1939, in the works of two other poets, living in Chernovtsy, namely Alfred Margul Sperber and Rose Ausl nder. As early as January 1939, this oxymoron has appeared in the poem More Night by Vasile Voiculescu, being published in the journal “Gandirea” / “The Thinking”, in Bucharest. In Voiculescu’s poem, the mystical significance of “black milk” - that comprises within itself two icons: the life-giving milk and the renewing wine - seems to be appropriate, considering the spiritual development of the poet. As regards Paul Celan, the understanding of this double symbol is more difficult because the current interpretation is a political one. Beyond the Holocaust black and white smoke rising as a witness of the mass killing of Hebrews, one can interpret, though, the “black milk” as an allusion to Shekinah, the flow of life that nourishes all living creatures. This interpretation becomes possible through the scales proposed by Hans-Georg Gadamer and Otto P ggeler.
THE MODEL OF THE FIVE COMPETITIVE FORCES ON ROMANIAN RETAIL MARKET
SILVIA PUIU
Annals of the University of Petrosani : Economics , 2010,
Abstract: The paper is about the model of the five competitive forces of Michael Porter. In the first part, I have presented the theoretical aspects of the model and after that, I tried to apply the model on the retail market in Romania. I used data gathered from national and international institutes of market research and also from the information offered by the main retailers on their web sites. The retail market in our country is not very good crystalized, but has had a good evolution in the last years. The competition is intense, the barriers are relatively high, the power of national supplyers is diminished by the integration of Romania in European Union, the power of consumers is moderate and the substitutes appear as discount stores and e-retailing.
EURO ADOPTION: IS IT REVERSIBLE?
Cristina Puiu
CES Working Papers , 2010,
Abstract: Starting from 1999 sixteen countries have adopted euro as a single currency. Considering that the Maastricht Treaty stipulates that all the European Union countries must adopt euro once they meet the requirements stipulated it is not a question of “if to join the euro area”, but rather of “when”. Therefore adopting euro currency is not and it should not be a reversible process. The decision to participate the monetary union represents the expression of a decision to move forward, while leaving it would be nothing else but a step back.
LABOUR MOBILITY AS AN ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM IN THE EURO AREA
Cristina Puiu
CES Working Papers , 2011,
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to assess the capacity of labour mobility in the euro area to act as an adjustment mechanism in the event of an asymmetric shock. According to the optimum currency area theory, labour mobility has been emphasized as one of the main adjustment mechanism. Given the present situation, where there are major concerns about the future of the euro area, it is necessary to study if the mechanism for stability works and if it can be improved. Considering the difficulty of quantifying the labour mobility, we have analyzed the net migration and the regulations regarding labour market. The empirical evidence shows that labour mobility does not act as a sufficient adjustment mechanism.
