Marcas do amor romantico e violência conjugal: uma análise a partir do “sequestro” do nibus 499
Teresa Cristina O. Carreteiro,Cristine Monteiro Mattar

Abstract: this paper aims to reflect, under a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach, about a recured complain in psychoterapic setting: loneliness and affective relationships. the connection between loneliness, isolation and anxiety with the necessity of control and security on relationships were analysed. for this we used martin heidegger's philosophical thought. we concluded these feelings are possibilities of meaning that constitute the historic experience of modern man. this way, psychotherapy will not intent only an adjustment but will be a setting of medidation, where other possibilities of being in the world with others will be present.

Abstract:

Introduction: Executive Dysfunction (ED) is associated with difficulties in daily life and poor treatment adherence in individuals with neurological and psychiatric disorders. The aim of this paper is to present an update of Executive Function (EF) Rehabilitation Techniques. Methods: We performed a comprehensive literature review using the following keywords: executive function, mental disorders and rehabilitation in the PubMed, specific journals and books. Results: There is evidence of improvement of EF using some rehabilitation techniques, such as goal planning, goal management training, problem solving training, verbalization, drill and practice approach, metacognitive strategy instruction, computer-assisted training and neurofeedback. However, impact of rehabilitation on daily life remains poorly understood. Conclusion: Executive Dysfunction (ED) may be remediated and/or compensated at a certain degree by neuropsychological rehabilitation, but there is still a great challenge in this area based on how to measure effectiveness of EF interventions on daily life. There is a need for the development of new and/or combined techniques (i.e., pharmacological treatment, deep-brain stimulation) for a broader impact on quality of life for patients.

Clinical and Experimental Gastroenterology , 2013,
Abstract: Rejane Mattar,1 Sergio Barbosa Marques,1 Anibal Ferreira dos Santos,1 Maria do Socorro Monteiro,1 Kiyoshi Iriya,2 Flair José Carrilho1 1Department of Gastroenterology, University of S o Paulo School of Medicine, S o Paulo, SP, Brazil; 2Department of Pathology, University of S o Paulo School of Medicine, S o Paulo, SP, Brazil Objective: To verify whether the variable number of tandem repeat (VNTR) polymorphism in the IL-1RN gene that encodes the interleukin (IL)-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra) plays a role in the outcome of gastrointestinal diseases associated with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection. Methods: Patients with normal endoscopy (n = 71), inflammation of the upper gastrointestinal tract only (n = 196), gastric ulcer (n = 28), duodenal ulcer (n = 76), and gastric cancer (n = 19) were studied. H. pylori infection was diagnosed by the urease test, histological examination, and polymerase chain reaction. The IL-1 receptor antagonist gene (IL-1RN intron 2 VNTR) was analyzed by polymerase chain reaction. Gastritis was scored according to the updated Sydney system of classification. Results: H. pylori infection was an independent risk factor for mild (odds ratio [OR] = 5.53 [95% confidence interval [CI] = 2.63–11.64; P < 0.05]), moderate (OR = 83.93 [95% CI = 29.7–237.18; P < 0.05]) and marked (OR = 47.47 [95% CI = 5.39–418.05; P < 0.05]) gastritis. The carriage of IL-1RN*2/*2 had a significant protective effect of H. pylori infection (OR = 0.31 [95% CI = 0.17–0.57; P < 0.05]). H. pylori infection was identified as an independent risk of inflammation, duodenal ulcer, and gastric ulcer. The carriage of IL-1RN*2/*2 was an independent risk factor for gastric cancer (OR = 5.81 [95% CI = 1.06–31.98; P < 0.05]); nonetheless, the carriage of allele 2 (IL-1RN*2/*2 plus IL-1RN*L/*2) had an independent protective effect on duodenal ulcer (OR = 0.45 [95% CI = 0.22–0.91; P < 0.05]). Conclusions: Allele 2 of the VNTR IL-1RN polymorphism had a protective effect against duodenal ulcer and H. pylori infection; however, it increased the risk of gastric cancer. Keywords: Helicobacter pylori, IL-1RN polymorphism, gastric cancer, peptic ulcer

Abstract: this work analyzes depression in adolescence from a perspective of psychopathology which discusses psychoanalysis theory and biological psychiatry. within this context, it is used the term of depression and the promise of cure through the adjustment of neuro-hormonal deficits which are expected to be offset by medications. psychoanalysis fosters a differentiation between the terms depression and melancholia and correlates the depression concept with the the mourning due to the children's structure loss.finally, four aspects are considered in characterizing the depression concept during the adolescence: (1) not all sadness manifestations or behavior changes are pathological; (2) it is part of psychism and individual structure; (3) it functions as a defense of psychism so as to protect the human being (4) it should be conceived as a mourning in the psychoanalyst meaning of the term which, after a certain time period, needs to be surpassed and libido embedded in other objects.

This work discusses the depression phenomenon, pursuing a vision of psychopathology where does not only predominate the perspective of biological psychiatry, but also a psychoanalysis perspective. For this, it was carried out a historical research of psychopathology that, under the influence of the dictates of modern science, has contributed for the gradual elimination of the term melancholy due to psychiatry classification and psychopathology knowledge in detriment of biological psychiatry. It was also analyzed the contribution of the psychoanalyst psychopathology of the depression within a perspective in which the diagnostic activity is not concluded in terms of classification, and emphasizes the biographical dimension as indispensable for the definition of that activity. Finally, it was concluded that it is relevant to consider: (1) depression treatment based on the uniqueness of the individual, and not only taking into account its symptoms; (2) not all sadness manifestations are pathological; and, (3) the understanding of normal depression while mourning in the psychoanalyst meaning of the term, because, after a certain time period, it should be surpassed and libido embedded in other objects.

Abstract: the objective of this work was to study the influence of temperature on the respiration rate of minimally processed organic carrots (daucus carota l. cv. brasília) with and without the application of a gelatin film. the samples were packed in flexible bags and stored at 1, 5 and 10 °c. during the five days of storage, the co2 and o2 concentrations in the headspace of the package were monitored by gas chromatography, and the mathematical model based on enzymatic kinetics was used to estimate the respiration rate of minimally processed organic carrots. the effect of temperature on the respiration rate was evaluated by the arrhenius equation. the results showed that the o2 concentration decreased during the storage period and the co2 concentration increased. the lowest o2 concentrations of 2.59 and 2.66% were found for the samples stored at 10 °c with and without the film, respectively. for the co2 concentration, the highest concentrations of 16.25 and 16.32% were again found for the temperature of 10 °c with and without the application of the film, respectively. at the temperature of 1 °c, the maximum respiratory rates for the samples without and with the film were 10.82 and 10.44 ml co2.kg-1/hour, respectively, after 72 hours of storage. the greatest respiratory rate was obtained at 10 °c, the maximum peak being reached after 50 hours. activation energy values were of 50.59 kj.mol-1, for the samples with the film, and 51.88 kj.mol-1 for the samples without the film.
Um pouco mais da história da educa o dos surdos, segundo Ferdinand Berthier/A little bit more about the deaf education, according to Ferdinand Berthier

This article features extracts from the biography of the abbot L’Epée, written by a deaf professor from the Deaf Institute of Paris, Ferdinand Berthier, in 1840. Despite glorifying the abbot, who was the creator of the first deaf school in France, Berthier voiced criticism of the L’Epée method for generating deformities in the sign language for the sake of teaching correct writing; such changes made the language foreign to the deaf people themselves. Although written two centuries ago, Berthier’s work provokes discussions that to this day are still present among educators, discussions where the central theme is the language to which the deaf are exposed in the learning process. The controversy over sign language versus oral language played as central a role in those days as it does today in discussions about deaf education. Abstract: DNA was extracted from gastric biopsies of thirty-four cases of gastric cancer (11 intestinal-type, 23 diffuse-type), and thirty-four of patients with endoscopic gastritis. The presence of cagPAI genes (cagA, cagA promoter, cagE, cagM, tnpB, tnpA, cagT and the left end of the cagII (LEC)) and babA were analyzed by PCR.Comparison of H. pylori isolates from gastric cancer and gastritis patients showed significant associations of tnpA and LEC with gastric cancer (73.5% [OR, 6.66; 95% CI, 2.30-19.25] and 58.8% [OR, 10.71; 95% CI, 3.07-37.28] of cases, respectively). Other cagPAI genes were detected in both groups at similar frequencies.tnpA and LEC of H. pylori cagPAI were associated with gastric cancer; nonetheless, these results were restricted within this group of patients and further studies are needed to confirm these results in a larger sample and determine their role in gastric carcinogenesis. The seroprevalence of H. pylori ranges among Brazilians, and is dependent on age, socioeconomic status, and ethnicity, as well as sanitation conditions. High prevalence has been reported in the city of Fortaleza, with 73.3% positive cases in individuals 11-20 years old, and up to 87% in those over 60 years old [1]. Notably, the incidence rate of gastric cancer is lower (16/100,000) in Fortaleza than in the city of S?o Paulo (22/100,000) http://www.inca.gov.br/ webcite, which has a lower prevalence of H. pylori (65.6%) [2]. Furthermore, H. pylori seroprevalence was higher in African Brazilians compared to Caucasoids [2] and Japanese Brazilians [3], despite the higher mortality for gastric cancer among Japanese Brazilians compared to the indigenous population [4]. These conflicting results suggest among other factors that more virulent H. pylori strains may be involved in gastric cancer outcome. The cag (cytotoxin-associated gene) pathogenicity island (cagPAI) in H. pylori contains 31 putative genes [5] and encodes a type IV secretion system that delivers CagA into the cytosol,
