Protocol group education for family caregivers of elderly dependents
Cristina Anguita Carpio,Gemma María Carpio Colomo
NURE Investigación , 2012,
Abstract: Family is the main care source for the dependent person. The act of looking after somebody, involves the development of multiple tasks, apart from spending a lot of time. This implies a series of requirements that would be able to damage the family caregivers’ quality of life, and definitively, their health. Objetive: training for family caregivers to provide quality care, in order to succeed in this project, we establish three specific aims: improving the information and training, increase self-care abilities and focus on resources and support services for informal caregivers. Methods: We are going to implement an educative intervention in a group of 12 informal caregivers of people over 65 years, dependent on chronic diseases and develop home care. The program will be composed of 10 sessions, each one of two-hour-long. The first session will consist of an introduction and the last session will be reserved to solve doubts and to deal with the assessment of the program. Throughout the rest of sessions, contents about training, self, resources and assistance services for caregivers will be proposed. In order to evaluate the efficiency of the program, a multiple choice questionnaire will be taken both al the beginning and at the end of the different sessions. In order to evaluate the human resources and the applied methodology, another questionnaire will be passed.

Abstract: abstract the article examines the status of objects which embody elements or values of the spanish culture. first, the legal notion of cultural objects is defined, considering national and supranational law. we then review the historical background of the protection of cultural objects in spanish law, turning next to the current legal framework for the protection of the historical patrimony, both from a supranational normative perspective (unesco, the council of europe, the european union, and the unidroit agreement), and the spanish national law found in the constitution, the national law, and the law of the autonomous regions. throughout the article the notion is stressed that the complexity we find in the protection of cultural objects derives in part from the uneasy relationship between jurisprudence and the concept of culture, and secondly, from the political and jurisdictional division enacted by the spanish constitution of 1978, which has brought about, as in other countries following a "federal" model of distribution of powers, massive amounts of legislation which makes it difficult for the legal operators to find the applicable law for a given case.

Abstract: in this paper the author examines the approach of institutional shareholders to corporate governance in the united kingdom, in particular the issue of preventive governance according to the combined code of united kingdom. corporate governance has been developed to solve the agency dilemma that exists in modern corporations. plenty of legislation has been issued around the world to prevent the scandals of the past; however business needs flexible principles for reasons of efficiency. an important role is played by institutional shareholders. the main thesis of this paper is that preventive governance is the best way to solve the agency dilemma and institutional shareholders have learned the importance of it.

Luis A. Anguita Villanueva
ABSTRACT The article examines the status of objects which embody elements or values of the Spanish culture. Nonlinear stability of oscillatory wave fronts in chains of coupled oscillators
A. carpio
Physics , 2004, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevE.69.046601
Abstract: We present a stability theory for kink propagation in chains of coupled oscillators and a new algorithm for the numerical study of kink dynamics. The numerical solutions are computed using an equivalent integral equation instead of a system of differential equations. This avoids uncertainty about the impact of artificial boundary conditions and discretization in time. Stability results also follow from the integral version. Stable kinks have a monotone leading edge and move with a velocity larger than a critical value which depends on the damping strength.
Wave trains, self-oscillations and synchronization in discrete media
A. Carpio
Physics , 2005, DOI: 10.1016/j.physd.2005.06.004
Abstract: We study wave propagation in networks of coupled cells which can behave as excitable or self-oscillatory media. For excitable media, an asymptotic construction of wave trains is presented. This construction predicts their shape and speed, as well as the critical coupling and the critical separation of time scales for propagation failure. It describes stable wave train generation by repeated firing at a boundary. In self-oscillatory media, wave trains persist but synchronization phenomena arise. An equation describing the evolution of the oscillator phases is derived.
