Revista Colombiana de Ciencias Pecuarias , 2010,
Abstract: the cholecystitis is a gall-bladder inflamatory patology, the obstruction and biliar infection could be the principal causes of presentation. the diagnosis is dificult because the clinical signs as clinicopatological abnormalities are inespecifics, so the ultrasonography is a important method of diagnosis, because the visualization of thickeny of the gall-bladder’s wall or hiperecogenic bile induce to suspect cholecystitis. the bile culture and antibiograma permit to define the specific antibiotic treatment. a clinic case is described to emphasize the importance of ultrasonography in the canine cholecystitis diagnosis.

If there are clinical signs of prostatic diseases, the rectal palpation and ultrasonography are limited to aproximation diagnostic. The cytology would contribute to demostrate what type of prostatic disease is present. The objective of the work is the evaluation of the quality of smears obtained by fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) in dogs and to recognize the cells to contribute to the knowledge of prostatic cytology. There was one group: 20 healthy adult dogs, without particularities in rectal palpation (G1) with normal ultrasonographic images and a second group: 28 adult male dogs with prostatic disease (G2). Transabdominal FNAB of prostata with ultrasonographic guidance were performed according to Cow
Reproductive Parameters of the Dogo Argentino Bitch
Marina Caffaratti,Griselda González,Nora Gorla,Corina Guendulain
Journal of Veterinary Medicine , 2013, DOI: 10.1155/2013/495975
Abstract: The Dogo Argentino (DA) is the first and only breed from Argentina recognized worldwide. Although its morphologic features have been well established, its normal reproductive parameters are not clearly known. The aim of this study was to determine the main DA bitch reproductive parameters. One hundred and forty-nine surveys were obtained from breeders from Córdoba province, Argentina: one for each intact DA bitch from 1 to 14 years old. The DA bitch reached puberty at an average of 8.93 months. The mean duration of vulval bleeding found in this study was 11.11 days. The clinical signs characteristic for proestrous-estrous were vulval edema (89.93%), bleeding during the time of mating (32.21%), holding the tail to the side (95.30%), and docility during mating (85.91%). DA bitches had a whelping rate of 84%. Out of 299 pregnancies, 89.30% exhibited a normal parturition, 6.69% presented dystocia, 2.68% needed Cesarean section, and 1.34% aborted. In conclusion, the reproductive parameters of the DA bitch are similar to those identified for other large breeds. DA often showed a prolonged vulval bleeding longer than proestrus. Its high whelping rate, its low incidence of dystocia, and its good maternal ability define the DA as a good reproductive breed with normal reproductive functions. 1. Introduction The Dogo Argentino (DA) is so far the only breed from Argentina recognized by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (1973). Even though it is known as a big-game hunting dog, it is now also used as companion and guard dog. Its morphologic features have been very well established; however, its normal reproductive parameters are not clearly known. This knowledge is essential to achieve a proper reproductive management, to determine the ideal time of mating or artificial insemination, to avoid unwanted pregnancies, to estimate whelping date, and to diagnose many pathologies. Domestic dogs are monoestrous and typically nonseasonal breeders, with large individual and breed-specific variations [1]. They reach puberty variably at 6 to 14 months of age, with means positively correlated with breed size [2]. The average of the interestrous interval is 6 months, it ranges from 4 to 12 months depending on breed, age, and individual [3]. The proestrous duration is highly variable, from 6 to 11 days, with an average of 9 days [4]. This stage is characterized by male attraction, nonreceptive bitches, and vulval bleeding. Pseudopregnancy is a physiological syndrome which may occur during diestrous. Its signs are very similar to those typical of pregnant bitches, such as

Abstract: this article is part of a wider study, the general scope of which is to look into conceptions of what work means from the point of view of workers and identify work strategies used and social ties related with different working activities. in this respect,we make a comparative study of two activities executed by independent workers: the cart drivers or carters* and the independent construction workers. both fields have a strong presence in "barrio esperanza", a neigborhood of gran la plata, the conurbation of la plata, where field work is made. methodological approach used is a qualitative one. in said approach , we are producing observations as well as partly structured interviews and informal conversations with carters, maily adult men. this time we present some reflections elaborated on the questions arised during the investigative process when approaching the neiborhood carters and the academic bibliography, as well as the press and several state documents ( programs, laws, rules, etc.), related with said themes. we question on what is the sense the carters themselves give to the activity they make and how said activity is visualized from other social agents. we consider in this respect that in both cases the stress in placed constantly in the cathegories work/ chance to earn money or work/non work.
THE PUBLIC IMAGE – FACETS AND STAGES IN ITS CREATION
Corina RADULESCU
Lex et Scientia , 2011,
Abstract: Public image is the representation or the idea that the public envisages as to an institution/organization and that special literature coins as: institutional image, enterprise image, prestige publicity, brand image, product image, institutional communication – all of these phrases representing multiple ”facets” of the public image whose unique goal is to create a positive representation of an institution. These facets – which are essentially different – often overlap. Thus, in this paper, we intend to distinguish between the multiple facets that the public image implies and, in order to do this, we firstly refer to the definition, characteristics and structure of the public image, so that we separately analyse its forms of manifestation and reveal the specific difference of the institutional image – which in its pure form aims at creating in the consumer’s/citizen’s mind an identity and a clear organizational representation, which is particularly different from commercial mark images. In the conclusion section to our paper, we indicate the steps that have to be followed in order to create a positive image for an organization.
Competition as an Effective Tool in Developing Social Marketing Programs: Driving Behavior Change through Online Activities
Corina ?ERBAN
Economia : Seria Management , 2011,
Abstract: Nowadays, social marketing practices represent an important part of people’s lives. Consumers’ understanding of the need for change has become the top priority for social organizations worldwide. As a result, the number of social marketing programs has increased, making people reflect more on their behaviors and on the need to take action. Competition in social marketing can bring many benefits. The more programs initiated, the more people will start to involve in society’s problems, hereby contributing to beneficial causes. However, social organizations are in the search for competitive advantages to differentiate them on the market. This paper aims to present the role of online communication in driving competitive advantage for social organizations. Using the structural equation model, the paper describes the relations between four characteristics of the online communication: credibility, attractiveness, persuasion and promotion and then presents the correlations between these variables and website competitiveness. The resulting model shows that owning a competitive advantage in social marketing can bring many advantages to both the non-profit organization and the consumer. Therefore, the online environment can be considered a good solution for better serving consumers’ social needs. Its contribution is significant especially in programs for children and adolescents, since teenagers spend more time on the Internet than adults and are more open to using the online channels of communication. In conclusion, this article opens new opportunities for social marketers to address society’s problems and supports the integration of the online communication tools in the competition strategy.

Abstract: The high frequency of this lesion among the youth who practice various recreational sports and the necessity of postoperative functional recovery have determined to follow the efficiency of kinetotherapy programs in a number of 10 patients with an average age of 27,7. For evaluation, we have used the KOOS (Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score) scale, in order to appreciate especially the patient’s perception on the degree of recovery accomplished by his/her knee; this scale contains criteria linked to the specific pain, to the daily, sportive or recreational activities that the patient can conduct. In all the 5 subscales, we have obtained extremely significant differences from a statistical point of view between the initial and final evaluations – ES (p <0.001).
