Studii de Gramatica Contrastiva , 2009,
Abstract: The contrastive and didactic analysis conducted by the author of the present paper concentrates on idiomaticity, comparing meaning, expression, usage and degree of awareness. In the paper, contrastivity was intended to offer some individual notes and clues meant to benefit both EFL teachers and translators in this country. The idioms are analysed from the angle of both their literality, referentiality, specific “scenario”, and expressive power. A modest final proposal is made to the effect that a contrastive methodical database should be compiled by Romanian teachers in order to sort out the content and expression sides of English idioms, while comparing them to their (relative) counterparts in Romanian. Reference to the main issues concerning the comparative expressiveness of the idioms will be part of a future research.

Abstract: The evolution of the molecular system involved in the color of the meat during the muscle rigor and agening wasanalyzed comparative in different kind of muscles from pork and beef meat collected from animals of different ages andspecies. This work hints to study the influence of some agents on pigments content in meat, during the muscle rigor andageing. Along this paper hinted to prove the importance of some parameters such as: the species, the age and the typeof muscle and the color of the meat. For study it has been used meat of two species (porcines and bovines) and treetypes of muscle (trapez cervical, obliquus extern and longissimus dorsi). To highlight the influence of the age and thebreed of the animal on the color of its meat, the pigments concentration was calculated. It has been determined that thefull aged bovines’meat tissue has an increased content of pigments.
The Investment of the Payment Instruments with Executory Formula
Laura Manea,Adrian Constantin Manea
Bulletin of the Transilvania University of Bra?ov. Series VII : Social Sciences and Law , 2009,
Abstract: The judge-made-law is not unitary regarding the necessity to invest with executory formula the cheque and the bills payable to order, and the same courts interpreted the dispositions from the civil procedure code excluding the special laws which established the juridical conditions for the cheque and bill payable to order. At the same time, other courts grant priority to the special laws which established the regime of writ of execution for this payment instruments. Because of this disparity the attorney general has filed an appeal in the interest of law and the solution of the Highest Court of Cassation and Justice was to admit the appeal and to dispose to invest them with executory formula.

Revista Roman? de Statistic? , 2011,
Abstract: A complex statistical overview of the economy in a circumstantial manner remains that of the perennial hexagon of major balances, and it is presented in the introduction of thiss paper. As can be seen, the environment (ecosphere) or the global equilibrium indicators are a very important signal for the cyclical imbalances and economic developments, and can be significated as indicators of survival (environmental indicators represent a extended category of statistical indicators, from the statistical indicators on protected areas, water resources provided under the degree of development, the water sources and watersheds, surface water quality in watersheds and quality classes, the defoliation the main tree species and all ages, classes of defoliation, to the expenditures for environmental protection). In the first section of the paper some of the major European environmental statistical indicators are detailed, and in the second part the correspondent national statistical indicators are presented through comparision and exposed to a confrontation with the E.U. level, and a final remark underlines the growing importance of environmental statistics and human ecology.
Computational Fluid Dynamics in Solid Earth Sciences–a HPC challenge

Acta Universitaria , 2012,
Abstract: Presently, the Solid Earth Sciences started to move towards implementing High Performance Computational (HPC) research facilities. One of the key tenants of HPC is performance, which strongly depends on the interaction between software and hardware. In this paper, they are presented benchmark results from two HPC systems. Testing a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) code specific for Solid Earth Sciences, the HPC system Horus, based on Gigabit Ethernet, performed reasonably well compared with its counterpart CyberDyn, based on Infiniband QDR fabric. However, the HPCC CyberDyn based on low-latency high-speed QDR network dedicated to MPI traffic outperformed the HPCC Horus. Due to the high-resolution simulations involved in geodynamic research studies, HPC facilities used in Earth Sciences should benefit from larger up-front investment in future systems that are based on high-speed interconnects.
A parallelized particle tracing code for CFD simulations in Earth sciences

Acta Universitaria , 2012,
Abstract: The problem of convective flows in a highly viscous fluid represents a common research direction in Earth sciences. For tracing the convective motion of the fluid material, a source passive particles (or tracers) that flow at a local convection velocity and do not affect the pattern of flow it is commonly used. Here we present a parallelized tracer code that uses passive and weightless particles with their position computed from their displacement during a small time interval at the velocity of flow previously calculated for a given point in space and time. The tracer code is integrated in the open source package CitcomS, which is widely used in the solid earth community (www.geodynamics.org). We benchmarked the tracer code on the state-of-the-art CyberDyn parallel machine, a High Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster with 1344 computing cores available at the Institute of Geodynamics of the Romanian Academy.

Abstract: Designing a questionnaire is the most profound activity which makes an impact on a research in marketing. The investigation instrument finally determines the quality of this type of research. Never will a market research be able to exceed its questionnaire in point of quality. The present contribution succinctly itemizes a research project for the Romanian car market, emphasizing the importance of focus group, and appends, at the end, the concrete result, applied to the Romanian car market. The first part describes the hypotheses and sets out the objectives of the research, focusing on the market leader, i.e. Automobile Dacia Renault. The second section describes the practical process of designing the questionnaire, with a special stress laid on the impact of focus-group in the final version. The synthesis of focus group is materialized through a number of final remarks on the manner of concretely writing the questionnaire, which was put to practical use on the Romanian car market.

The Multinational Corporations - A comparative statistical approach in Romania and Serbia -

Revista Roman? de Statistic? , 2010,
Abstract: The originality of this paper consists in a comparative approach to the typologies of the financial facilities meant to attract multinational corporations, either in a country that is a member of the European Union, such as Romania, or in a non-member country, like today’s Serbia. The authors have focused on the idea the multinational corporations are a major factor of developmentfor Eastern European countries, in general. Finally, the social corporative responsibility has been useful to the communities in these countries, but still remains a theoretical idea. The financial facilities and opportunities provided by the small economies are not yet compensated through a social equivalent, either inside, or outside the European Union area, for most of the host countriesand economies placed in Eastern Europe. The authors have focused on two characteristic corporationsAutomobile Dacia from Romania and Zastava Automobile, from Serbia.
Le r le des citations chez La Mothe Le Vayer: érudition et éclectisme
Ioana Manea
Cromohs (Firenze) , 2010,
Abstract: Compared to Plutarch because of the erudition which he uses in his works, La Mothe Le Vayer is nevertheless accused of pedantry by some of his contemporaries. The quotations which he inserts in his works are disliked by the writers who believe that French alone should be used in literary works. However, the quotations which he owes exclusively to his scholarly leisure allow him to express his eclectic thinking. Deeply influenced by Pyrrhonism, he is not interested in drawing permanent conclusions and in choosing one amongst the different opinions on the same natural or moral phenomenon. The quotations make it possible for him to gather various interpretations of the same natural or moral phenomena which have been considered the most plausible at a certain moment and place.
