Fluctuations of energy flux in a simple dissipative out-of-equilibrium system
Claudio Falcón,Eric Falcon
Mathematics , 2008, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevE.79.041110
Abstract: We report the statistical properties of the fluctuations of the energy flux in an electronic RC circuit driven with a stochastic voltage. The fluctuations of the power injected in the circuit are measured as a function of the damping rate and the forcing parameters. We show that its distribution exhibits a cusp close to zero and two asymmetric exponential tails, the asymmetry being driven by the mean dissipation. This simple experiment allows to capture the qualitative features of the energy flux distribution observed in more complex dissipative systems. We also show that the large fluctuations of injected power averaged on a time lag do not verify the Fluctuation Theorem even for long averaging time. This is in contrast with the findings of previous experiments due to their small range of explored fluctuation amplitude. The injected power in a system of N components either correlated or not is also studied to mimic systems with large number of particles, such as in a dilute granular gas.
Wave-vortex interaction
Claudio Falcón,Stéphan Fauve
Physics , 2009, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevE.80.056213
Abstract: We present an experimental study on the effect of a electromagneticaly generated vortex flow on parametrically amplified waves at the surface of a fluid. The underlying vortex flow, generated by a periodic Lorentz force, creates spatio-temporal fluctuations that interact nonlinearly with the standing surface waves. We characterize the bifurcation diagram and measure the power spectrum density (PSD) of the local surface wave amplitude. We show that the parametric instability threshold increases with increasing intensity of the vortex flow.
Symmetry Induced 4-Wave Capillary Wave Turbulence
Gustavo Düring,Claudio Falcón
Physics , 2009, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevLett.103.174503
Abstract: We report theoretical and experimental results on 4-wave capillary wave turbulence. A system consisting of two inmiscible and incompressible fluids of the same density can be written in a Hamiltonian way for the conjugated pair $(\eta,\Psi)$. When given the symmetry $z\to-z$, the set of weakly non-linear interacting waves display a Kolmogorov-Zakharov (KZ) spectrum $n_k\sim k^{-4}$ in wave vector space. The wave system was studied experimentally with two inmiscible fluids of almost equal densities (water and silicon oil) where the capillary surface waves are excited by a low frequency random forcing. The power spectral density (PSD) and probability density function (PDF) of the local wave amplitude are studied. Both theoretical and experimental results are in fairly good agreement with each other.
Modification of the Newtonian Dynamics in ΛFRW-Cosmology an Alternative Approach to Dark Matter and Dark Energy  [PDF]
Nelson Falcón
Journal of Modern Physics (JMP) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jmp.2013.48A003
Abstract:

Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MoND) is an empirically motivated modification of Newtonian gravity at largest scales, to explain rotation curves of galaxies, as an alternative to nonbaryonic dark matter. But MoND theories can hardly connect to the formalism of relativistic cosmology type Friedmann-Robertson-Walker. Presently work intends the existence of one scalar potential, with non gravitational origin, that would solve these problems. This potential Yukawa type inverse is build starting from a specular reflection of the potential of Yukawa: null in very near solar system, slightly attractiveness in ranges of interstellar distances, very attractiveness in distance ranges comparable to galaxies cluster and repulsive to cosmic scales. The consequences of this potential are discussed, through Cosmological Model Tipe Friedmann-Roberston-Walker with cosmological term in function of the distance (lambda like function of r). In the cosmological model so raised the critical density of matter is consistent with the observed density does not include dark matter, MoND theory is deduced for interstellar scales and consequently would explain rotation curves. Also it is shown that Yukawa type inverse does not alter the predictions of the Cosmic Microwave Background neither the primordial nucleosynthesis in early universe; and can be explain the large-scale structure formation.

Finlay : Revista de Enfermedades no Transmisibles , 2011,
Abstract: The development of this clinical practice guideline is basically justified by the high presentation frequency and mortality rates of acute myocardial infarction in general population. Cardiovascular diseases are currently the leading cause of death in industrialized countries, and they are expected to reach this position also in developing countries by 2020. The present guidelines is devoted to patients with ischemic symptoms or their equivalents, and persistent elevation of the ST segment in the electrocardiogram, or ECG changes of ST segment depression or the T wave, consistent with AMI diagnosis with no ST elevation. This guide does not address the elements directly related to the procedures of percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass graft surgery.
Meneses Falcón,Carmen;
Gaceta Sanitaria , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S0213-91112007000300003
Abstract: objective: to describe the circumstances and consequences of cocaine use in the setting of prostitution. material and method: we performed a qualitative study with fieldwork in 6 spanish cities. semi-structured interviews were carried out to 60 persons aged between 18 and 50 years old involved in prostitution in different settings: street, flat and brothel. results: the main substances used in prostitution were alcohol and cocaine. consumption was occasional and instrumental and helped to reduce psychological barriers or inhibition and increase tolerance to long hours of sex work with different clients, thus increasing earnings. cocaine use was also associated with providing clients with company without having to perform sexual services. among the consequences of drug use in prostitutes were unprotected sex and a higher risk of violence by clients. prostitutes developed harm reduction strategies for drug use: dose reduction, simulated drug use, and selection of clients who were users. conclusions: this study shows that there is connection between drug use and the provision of sexual services. drug use can pose a health risk as consumption is associated with unprotected sex.
Torres Falcón, Marta;
Alteridades , 2009,
Abstract: the following paper offers a general overview on the subject of families in the mexican judicial system. it emphasizes the interaction of three different factors: legislation, the judicial system, and culture. it underlines the necessity of recuperating diversity within families and incorporating different types of partnerships (including gays and lesbians) into the legal system. gender inequalities also occupy a prominent role in this analysis, especially when studying divorce. equality, in its broadest sense, is still a goal to be achieved.

The aim of the present article is to contribute to a reflection on “exile and translation” based on the analysis of a case of literary importation centred on Argentinians who settled in Barcelona between the late seventies and the early eighties: the Bruguera crime novel series.
