Atribuciones de la motivación al logro y sus implicaciones en la formación del pensamiento lógico-matemático en la Universidad

Abstract: the purpose of this study was to analyze some of the attributions of the motivation for achievement in mathematics, referred to performance shown by university students in diverse aspects of quantitative reasoning. the research modality was non-experimental with an ex-post facto design. a sample of 92 beginning students out of a population of 1800 enrolled in the course mathematics i in semester i-2008 was chosen intentionally at the economic and social sciences college, university of carabobo, venezuela. the results indicate that some atribucional causes of motivation affect the logical-numerical potential and contribute to students performance in some dimensions of the mathematical thought.

Abstract: an important and distinctive feature of the educational reforms is the "innovation" matter, which, although it means a real challenge, to be executed uses to be accompanied by a kind of compulsivity that hinders its strenghtening and its conceptual revision. this article is based on a hypothesis: ?does the competence in education approach really mean an innovation or does it just appear like a real change? the purpose is to reach a conceptual articulation of this word able to characterize the defining features of competence in education and, from a more paedagogical point of view, to situate precisely its applications within the field of curriculum.

Abstract: the new teaching proposals have stormed into the educational literature, leading to some kind of confusion amongst the teachers, who do not necessarily reckon on enough parameters to distinguish the prior assumptions which underlie to every one of them or the real benefits they offer by implementing them within the classroom. psychopedagogy, didactics, educational politics and the development of new technologies generate diverse innovation proposals which should be worth analyzing in order to weigh up their value. in mexico it is impossible to settle an innovation and to analyze afterwards its impact on teaching, since we live in a maelstrom of new proposals that do not achieve to become concrete as new ways to work at school. in this article the autor explores a variety of situations faced by the higher education teacher when he meets those innovations. its underlying purpose is to promote a reflexion able to invite the teacher to work in a more deliberate way with some of those proposals, since he/she has to understand that it is impossible to implement them all in a specific moment.

Abstract: Un elemento que caracteriza y distingue a las reformas educativas es el de la "innovación", tema que si bien significa un reto, su ejecución, la mayoría de las veces, va acompa ada de una compulsividad que impide su consolidación y revisión conceptual. En este ensayo se parte de un cuestionamiento base: realmente el enfoque de competencias representa una innovación, o sólo una apariencia de cambio? La idea es llegar a una articulación conceptual del término que permita caracterizar los elementos que definen a las competencias en educación y, desde un sentido más pedagógico, ubicar su posible aplicación en el campo curricular.
