The Mechanism of Voltage Instability Analysis Considering Load Characteristic  [PDF]

Abstract:

Load characteristics are the main factor to affect voltage stability. In addition, load modeling reflecting the actual load characteristics has been a well—known difficult problem and unsolved so far, It is mainly due to the fact that the load composition, amount and characteristics are always changing. This paper introduces the slip into the equivalent impedance load model to analyze load characteristic, the varying slip is employed to indicate time-varying load characteristic precisely, and considering the dissimilar load behaviors, discusses node voltage, power during the changes of load characteristic, obtains voltage inflexion and power inflexion, and then analyzes the mechanism of power system voltage instability based on static voltage stability region. An example indicates the feasibility of the method.

Abstract: Crystal structure of 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25-octa-butoxyphthalocyaninatocopper (II) (1) was determined by X-ray diffraction methods. The crystal system is monoclinic, space group is P21/c, Z = 4, a = 1.3741(1) nm, b = 2.6737(1) nm, c = 1.6690(1) nm, β= 101.278(1)°. The steric congestion between the neighbouring butoxyl groups causes the distortion of the ring core of phthalocyanine (Pc) into a saddle shape conformation. In the crystal structure, molecules stack along a axis forming one-dimensional packing structure and there are two molecular overlap types which appear in turn with different distances between molecules, overlap area and angle.

Abstract: Goats of 6-10 months old were exposed to fluoride-polluted pasture for 18 months in order to evaluate the effects of selenium bullet on industrial fluorosis of goats. The results showed that the selenium bullet could reduce urine calcium, serum GOT and ALP, bone ALP and NAP, while bring up the urine calcium, GSH-px and transformation rate of lymph cell. The loose of the bone was eased and the growth during green grass period was prompted as well. It was suggested that selenium has effects of maintaining mineral metabolism, protecting cell membrane and strengthening immunolo-gical ability.
Estrogen Receptor and PI3K/Akt Signaling Pathway Involvement in S-(-)Equol-Induced Activation of Nrf2/ARE in Endothelial Cells

Abstract: S-(-)equol, a natural product of the isoflavone daidzein, has been reported to offer cytoprotective effects with respect to the cardiovascular system, but how this occurs is unclear. Interestingly, S-(-)equol is produced by the human gut, suggesting a role in physiological processes. We report that treatment of human umbilical vein endothelial cells and EA.hy926 cells with S-(-)equol induces ARE-luciferase reporter gene activity that is dose and time dependent. S-(-)equol (10–250 nM) increases nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) as well as gene products of Nrf2 target genes heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) and NAD(P)H (nicotinamide-adenine-dinucleotide-phosp?hate)quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1). Endothelial cells transfected with an HA-Nrf2 expression plasmid had elevated HA-Nrf2, HO-1, and NQO1 in response to S-(-)equol exposure. S-(-)equol treatment affected Nrf2 mRNA only slightly but significantly increased HO-1 and NQO1 mRNA. The pretreatment of cells with specific ER inhibitors or PI3K/Akt (ICI182,780 and LY294002) increased Nrf2, HO-1, and NQO1 protein, impaired nuclear translocation of HA-Nrf2, and decreased ARE-luciferase activity. Identical experiments were conducted with daidzein, which had effects similar to S-(-)equol. In addition, DPN treatment (an ERβ agonist) induced the ARE-luciferase reporter gene, promoting Nrf2 nuclear translocation. Cell pretreatment with an ERβ antagonist (PHTPP) impaired S-(-)equol-induced Nrf2 activation. Pre-incubation of cells followed by co-treatment with S-(-)equol significantly improved cell survival in response to H2O2 or tBHP and reduced apoptotic and TUNEL-positively-stained cells. Notably, the ability of S-(-)equol to protect against H2O2-induced cell apoptosis was attenuated in cells transfected with an siRNA against Nrf2. Thus, beneficial effects of S-(-)equol with respect to cytoprotective antioxidant gene activation may represent a novel strategy to prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases.
The New Infinite Sequence Complexion Solutions of a Kind of Nonlinear Evolutionary Equations  [PDF]

Abstract: The method combining the function transformation with the auxiliary equation is presented and the new infinite sequence complexion solutions of a class of nonlinear evolutionary equations are constructed. Step one, according to two function transformations, a class of nonlinear evolutionary equations is changed into two kinds of ordinary differential equations. Step two, using the first integral of the ordinary differential equations, two first order nonlinear ordinary differential equations are obtained. Step three, using function transformation, two first order nonlinear ordinary differential equations are changed to the ordinary differential equation that could be integrated. Step four, the new solutions, B?cklund transformation and the nonlinear superposition formula of solutions of the ordinary differential equation that could be integrated are applied to construct the new infinite sequence complexion solutions of a class of nonlinear evolutionary equations. These solutions are consisting of two-soliton solutions, two-period solutions and solutions composed of soliton solutions and period solutions.
Nonlinear Metric Learning for kNN and SVMs through Geometric Transformations

Abstract: In recent years, research efforts to extend linear metric learning models to handle nonlinear structures have attracted great interests. In this paper, we propose a novel nonlinear solution through the utilization of deformable geometric models to learn spatially varying metrics, and apply the strategy to boost the performance of both kNN and SVM classifiers. Thin-plate splines (TPS) are chosen as the geometric model due to their remarkable versatility and representation power in accounting for high-order deformations. By transforming the input space through TPS, we can pull same-class neighbors closer while pushing different-class points farther away in kNN, as well as make the input data points more linearly separable in SVMs. Improvements in the performance of kNN classification are demonstrated through experiments on synthetic and real world datasets, with comparisons made with several state-of-the-art metric learning solutions. Our SVM-based models also achieve significant improvements over traditional linear and kernel SVMs with the same datasets.

Abstract: 对常用规格 325 mm×660 mm滤筒采用普通喷吹孔和诱导喷嘴进行脉冲清灰实验研究,测试滤筒侧壁压力峰值和压力上升速度,并使用高速动态分析仪拍摄清灰时粉尘从滤筒壁面脱落的动态过程。实验证明了滤筒脉冲清灰时,粉尘的脱落是从滤筒上部到下部依次进行,滤筒侧壁第一个压力峰值、最大压力峰值和压力上升速度对清灰效果均有影响,且脉冲气流形成的第一个侧壁压力峰值对滤筒的第一次冲击对清灰来说起着决定性的作用,回流气流形成的侧壁压力峰值作用较弱。而压力上升速度不能完全作为评价清灰效果好坏的指标。实验证明,采用诱导喷嘴可以改善滤筒内部流场,提高清灰效率。

Abstract: Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) transport behaviors in soil column when surfactant (LAS) worked as the leaching solvent were studied. By the soil column experiments, the breakthrough curves (BTCs) of the tracer bromide (Br-) and PAHs were obtained. The batch equilibrium experiments were conducted to achieve the absorption coefficients, and then the retardation factor (R) was calculated. A nonlinear least-squares optimization approach (CXTFIT 2.1) was used to fit BTCs of Br- and PAHs. The symmetrical BTC for Br- was best described by the equilibrium CDE model, and then the physical and hydrodynamic parameters from the fitting result were obtained, i.e. the dispersion coefficient (D). Based on these, the equilibrium and non-equilibrium CDE models were applied to fit the asymmetrical and tailing BTCs of PAHs. The comparison showed that two-site CDE model best fitted the observed data. The trends of PAHs transport at different time and depth in the soil column was also estimated using two-site CDE model.
The effects of fluorine on antioxidant system and apoptosis of brain tissue in carp (cyprinus carpio L.)

Abstract: The physiological toxicity of sodium fluoride on antioxidant system, organizational structure and apoptosis of brain tissue in Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus were studied. Results showed that along with the increasing concentration of sodium fluoride, the superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione (GSH) activities increased firstly and then were inhibited after 30 days exposure. The SOD and GSH activities decreased after 60 and 90 days exposure. The content of lipid peroxides (MDA) increased during the whole test period. After 90 days exposure, histopathological changes of brain tissue were observed. It was found that thrombosis and structural changes in the cell layers were resulted from the exposure of sodium fluoride. The biological investigation results showed that there was a positive correlation between the cell apoptosis rate and the MDA levels (r=0.9968), but with dosage increasing, Bcl-2 protein concentration decreased, which was positive correlated with SOD and GSH activities (r=0.9198 and 0.9889, respectively).
