Study on Valve Management of DEH for Steam Turbine  [PDF]

Abstract: Valve management is one of the major functions of DEH for steam turbine. It has an important practical significance for the security and economy of the steam turbine. This paper starts from the valve configuration figure of the domestic-type 300 MW steam turbine, and then makes a simple comparison between the two types of valve governing modes. In order to realize the valve control, the structure of control system has been established, in which the roles of the mathematical functions are discussed. On the basis of the experiment of valve flow characteristic, this article carries out a quantitative study on the functions of the valve management and the parameter tuning method. Through a serious corrections, the sequence valve flow characteristic curve is obtained, which can provide significant guidance on the research of valve management of the similar steam turbines.

Abstract: Leaf shape is an important parameter for ideotype breeding in rice, and the rolling of leaf is also beneficial to efficient ripening of grains. This encourages the explorations of new genes that regulate leaf shape. In this study, genetic analysis and gene mapping were carried out for a novel rolling leaf mutant identified from japonica variety Zhonghua 11. The SSR marker analysis showed that the mutant was controlled by a single recessive gene (rl9(t)) lo- cated on chromosome 9. Fine mapping of the Rl9(t) locus was conducted with 30 new STS markers de- veloped around Rl9(t) anchored region based on the sequence diversity between Nipponbare and 93-11. The fine mapping necessitated the contruction of a PAC contig encompassing the Rl9(t) locus, which was delimited to a 42 kb region. This could therefore en- hance the cloning of the target gene in further stud- ies.

Abstract: BAC2, a rice BAC clone containing (TTTAGGG)n homologous sequences, was analyzed by Southern hybridization and DNA sequencing of its subclones. It was disclosed that there were many tandem repeated satellite DNA sequences, called TA352, as well as simple tandem repeats consisting of TTTAGGG or its variant within the BAC2 insert. A 0. 8 kb (TTTAGGG)n-containing fragment in BAC2 was mapped in the telomere regions of at least 5 pairs of rice chromosomes by using fluorescencein situ hybridization (FISH). By RFLP analysis of low copy sequences the BAC2 clone was localized in one terminal region of chromosome 6. All the results strongly suggest that the telomeric DNA sequences of rice are TTTAGGG or its variant, and the linked satellite DNA TA352 sequences belong to telomere-associated sequences.

Abstract: Acoording to the telomere-repeated sequences of rice, two primers: (TTTAGGG11)3 and (CCC-TAA.A)3CCC were used to amplify rice telomere-assciated sequences (TASs). Fox PCR template preparation. total DNA was digested with restrictive endonuclease and then ligated. Using the ligates or total DNA sa template, eight fragments were obtained with the single primer by the PCR reaction. To confirm that the sequences are derived from telomeric DNA, we conducted Bal31 digestion analysis. Of the eight fragments, seven were susceptible to Bal31 treatment, suggesting that they were TASs. These DNA fragments were further demonstrated u, be rice sub-telomeric sequences by RFLP mapping Five sequences have been mapped to the distal ends on rice chromme 5,6,7 and 9, and two other sequences have been mapped at interstitial sites, suggesting that (TTTAGGG)n. also exist in the middle of rice chromosomes-All eight fragments were sequenced and characterized.
Amplification, analysis and chromosome mapping of novel homeobox-containing and homeobox-flanking sequences in rice

Abstract: Homeobox genes, widely distributed among animal and plant kingdoms, play an important role in developmental process. Several homeobox conserved fragments were amplified by PCR and the flanking regions were also obtained by an LM-PCR procedure. Sequencing and Southern analysis showed that they belong to a homeobox gene family of rice. Six homeobox-containing fragments were mapped on the molecular linkage map of rice. They were located on chromosomes 3, 4 and 7 respectively. It is noteworthy that there are 4 homeobox fragments located on rice chromosome 3 and the result is also consistent with the comparative genomics between rice and maize.

Abstract: The semidwarf genesd-g which has been used in indica rice breeding in southern China is a new one, nonallelic tosd-1. To mapsd-g, an F2 population derived from the cross between Xinguiaishuangai and 02428 was constructed. Thesd-g was roughly mapped between two microsatellite markers RM440 and RM163, with genetic distances of 0.5 and 2.5 cM, respectively. Then nine new polymorphic microsatellite markers were developed in this region. Thesd-g was further mapped between two microsatellite markers SSR5-1 and SSR5-51, with genetic distances of 0.1 and 0.3 cM, respectively, while cosegregated with SSR418. A BAC contig was found to span thesd-g locus, the region being delimited to 85 kb. This result was very useful for cloning of thesd-g gene.

Abstract:

This paper considers the arguments for the construction of courses in ESP (English for Specific Purposes) focusing on the integration of curriculum design theory into an English course for aircraft engineering at the Civil Aviation University of China. For teacher-researchers interested in designing and implementing an aviation English instruction program, this paper offers an example framework of how this might be done and evaluates the framework within an action research model. A needs analysis is made and a curriculum presented for an integrated course in aviation English for aircraft engineers in the Chinese context, so that learners of ESP can learn the target language more effectively and put the learning to practical use.
