Revista mexicana de ciencias agrícolas , 2012,
Abstract: in the current situation in the comarca lagunera regarding water availability, it is important to consider alternate crops that adapt to the area's weather conditions. some bean varieties (phaseolus vulagris l.) are susceptible to drought, which limits the optimum crop development, causing low yields. the main objective of this study was to determine the net photosynthesis rate, transpiration rate, stomatal conductance, and the yield of six bean varieties, as well as their adaptability to the weather conditions of the comarca lagunera. the research was conducted at the experimental station of the uaaan unidad laguna, in the autumn-winter 2009 agricultural cycle, using traditional irrigation. the photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate and stomatal conductance were measured using the "photosynthesis system ci 340?". we also evaluated the yield, which was correlated with the physiological functions measured. the variety that had the highest yield was the pinto villa, which also displayed the highest photosynthetic activity, ranking within the group of genotypes with highest stomatal conductance. on the other hand, the pinto mestizo variety had the second best yield, although physiological activity of the variables studied was the lowest. therefore, the pinto villa and pinto mestizo varieties presented the best adaptability to the weather conditions of the lagunera region.

Predicting Ecosystem Response to Perturbation from Thermodynamic Criteria  [PDF]
V. Alonso Chávez, K Michaelian
Journal of Modern Physics (JMP) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/jmp.2011.226073
Abstract: The response of ecosystems to perturbations is considered from a thermodynamic perspective by acknowl-edging that, as for all macroscopic systems and processes, the dynamics and stability of ecosystems is sub-ject to definite thermodynamic law. For open ecosystems, exchanging energy, work, and mass with the en-vironment, the thermodynamic criteria come from non-equilibrium or irreversible thermodynamics. For ecosystems during periods in which the boundary conditions may be considered as being constant, it is shown that criteria from irreversible thermodynamic theory are sufficient to permit a quantitative prediction of ecosystem response to perturbation. This framework is shown to provide a new perspective on the popula-tion dynamics of real ecosystems.

Chávez Chávez,José Antonio;
Chungará (Arica) , 2001, DOI: 10.4067/S0717-73562001000200014
Abstract: we started our research in high mountains in southern perú by 1980 together with dr. johan reinhard. we have concurrently performed fieldwork and have gathered literature relevant to our research. then, we have a lot of information about the inca santuaries in high mountains. our research is mainly about ampato, pichu pichu, calcha, sara sara, hualca hualca, huarancante, misti, coropuna and other volcanoes. so far, we have recovered and are keeping eight human bodies from: ampato volcano (4 bodies), pichu pichu ( 3 bodies), and sara sara (1 body). as a result, of our research we now have a better understanding and conceptual framework about human sacrifices and offerings that were carried out by inca as worship to the mountains (apus). our research work confirms many data written in early chronicles of spaniards. sanctuaries that were investigated by us in pichu pichu and ampato, confirmed that inca performed their offerings on those mountains trying to appease the apus after the volcanic eruptions in misti (about 1440 ad _ 1450 a.d. ), and sabancaya volcanoes (about 1466 a.d.). our preliminary results obtained after hard multidisciplinary team work open new avenues for research since the variety of materials collected is enormous. material available for research includes: dna, pollen, microorganisms, chemicals, cat scan views etc
INVESTIGACIONES ARQUEOLóGICAS DE ALTA MONTA A EN EL SUR DEL PERú

We started our research in high mountains in Southern Perú by 1980 together with Dr. Johan Reinhard.
Fresno Chávez,Caridad;
Educaci?3n M??dica Superior , 2005,
Abstract: in order to meet the challenges of higher education for the milenium set by unesco in the world declaration on higher education in the 21st century, the academic institutions should implement quality-raising strategies in the higher education that will bring them to the level of technological development demanded by a digital economy and contribute to the development of a sustainable and co-operative economy, which will play a vital role in solving the economic and social problems of their communities. one suitable way to achieve this is the international co-operation among universities, whose role has been re-shaped after the ibero-american university co-operation summit held in lima. there, the university co-operation was characterized as an intrinsic and strategic element for institutional strengthening and as a tool for internalization of the higher education systems that will give the universities the possibility of being real promoters of the society′ advancement . several concepts and criteria on the terms involved in the topic were presented and reflections were made on the university as an objective and an agent of the ibero-american co-operation.
Olivares Chávez, Carolina;
Nova tellus , 2008,
Abstract: the religious aspects in xenophon's works have been studied by several scholars, who for the most part have doubted if he actually believed in the existence of gods or if their presence in his works was rather cursory and conventional. my own analysis of the hipparchus, a treatise on equestrian-military matters written towards the end of xenophon's life, reveals that his attitude towards the gods betrays a genuine belief.

Cornejo Chávez, Rodrigo;
Educa??o & Sociedade , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-73302009000200006
Abstract: this research analyzes teachers' material and psychosocial working conditions and well-being/discomfort in chilean secondary school. it has a multivariate, descriptive/cross-sectional, correlational and explanatory design-wellness/discomfort being the dependent variable in the construction of this multiple regression model. information was collected along 2008 from a representative sample of educational establishments funded by the state of santiago. it concludes that teachers perceive the precariousness of their working conditions and the high levels of labor demand (work intensification). an explanatory model of teachers' well-being/discomfort is constructed, which consists of seven variables, two of which are outlined for their high explanatory power: "meaningfulness in work" and "labor demands".
El síntoma neurótico: un retorno del olvido
Chávez Montalvo, Francisco;
En-claves del pensamiento , 2008,
Abstract: when we live a traumatic experience, we try to "forget it" through the mechanism of repression in order to protect ourselves from having an unacceptable representation for the ego which makes us feel bad. but the memory is not completely eliminated; it returns in symptomatic form and maintains a deep unconscious symbolic relation with that memory. using two analyses found in the works of sigmund freud -a bout the novel gradiva written by w. jensen and about the forgetting of the names- i will explain how this characteristic process of neurosis takes place.
