Abstract:
A phenocopy is defined as a clinical non-inherited phenotype in an indi-vidual, with environmental induction, which is identical to the genetically determined phenotype of another. Until February 2017, the IUIS (Interna-tional Union of Immunological Societies) reported in its classification 354 innate immunity errors and a final group (classification table IX) with con-ditions that are not part of the innate alterations and are called phenocopies. These are classified into two types, the associated with somatic mutations and those associated with auto-antibodies. The phenotypes that occur by any of the mechanisms mentioned are complex and varied. It is necessary to know the clinical manifestations of the pathologies classified in this group to enrich the possible differential diagnoses in individuals with suspected immunodeficiency.

Abstract:
Introduction: Primary immunodeficiencies are a spectrum of diseases that encompasses alteration of the innate and adaptive immune response. Isolated lymphocytopenia may be a manifestation of primary immunodeficiency, which is rarely considered as a diagnostic option by non-immunological physicians. Objectives: To conduct a brief review of the primary immunodeficiencies that are most frequently associated with lymphocytopenia in order to provide a resource that will help non-immunological clinicians to recognize and appropriately refer to these cases. Materials and Methods: Review of the literature with scientific articles indexed in English and Spanish. We consulted Pubmed database with the keywords: primary immunodeficiencies and severe combined immu-nodeficiencies. The limit of time was 5 years and only review papers. Re-sults: The search in the database results in 68 papers and we analyzed 35 articles because the objective of the review was Severe Combined Immu-nodeficiencies. Discussion: Persistent lymphopenia (usually <2500 xmm3) detected in blood cell cytometry that accompanies severe, recurrent infec-tions, autoimmune manifestations, atopy and cancer may suggest severe combined immunodeficiency. Causes of secondary immunodeficiency such as HIV should be ruled out. Conclusions: Persistent lymphopenia can be associated with severe combined immunodeficiency. The study should be extended in these cases by a specialist or refer the patient to a referral center for a complete evaluation.
Bello Arellano,Daniel;
Polis (Santiago) , 2012, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-65682012000100003
Abstract: this article reviews the stages through which the chilean statemoved from the 1930s onward, particularly concerning the transformations in therole it played managing the national economy, and the impact these changes had inthe link between political parties and society or, in a broader sense, between stateand nation. we observe two clearly defined stages. the first characterized by theconstitution of the state as a key element of the economic model development and an important organizer of society; task -this last one- propitiated by the mediatingaction of political parties, which established deep bonds with different socialorganizations, enabling the channelling of demands and distribution of benefits.the second stage, which began with the breakdown of democracy in 1973, showsthe state’s withdrawal and the imposition of the market as the focal point of theeconomic model as well as the main mechanism behind the distribution of goodsand services. the return to democracy -in 1990- was characterized by this "marketcentric" reality and by the new institutional structure conceived during the militarydictatorship. this shaped the party system reorganization and forced a shift ininteraction strategies between political parties and society, prioritizing politicalmarketing and the use of new mass media over a direct relationship with the nowdeflated social organizations. this historical review may help understand the currentrepresentation and participation crisis seen today in chile.

Bello,Daniel; Di Filippo,Armando;
Polis (Santiago) , 2010, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-65682010000100024
Abstract: in this article we seek to explain what we call 'the new preponderance of the political dimension in international relationships', and thus understand the growing importance that, not only politicians, but also multi-dimensional -in contrast to one-dimensional strategies based on the economic-commercial perspective- have recently acquired. we try to answer the worrying and complex questions that the current world stage presents. the thesis is that this "return to politics" in the international plane is explained by the confluence of two processes: on the one hand, the change in the economic cycle -promoted largely by the financial global crisis- that implies the begriming of what the english economist robert skidelsky calls' a liberal keynesian cycle', and, on the other hand, the transformation of the international system and the transition to what the american academician richard haass calis 'the age of non-polarity'.

Abstract: these projects highlight the value of designing a construction strategy, allowing the creation of form rather than predefining it. on this occasion what is interesting is a strategy that resorts to conventional, almost primitive, techniques, elements and procedures, yet these articulate in ways that are both extraordinary and relevant.

Polis (Santiago) , 2011, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-65682011000300002
Abstract: it is a common place the recognition that chile has changed during the past thirty years; several tansformations in the institutional, economic, political and cultural level would account for that. chile would have achieved overcoming in this interval, with high levels of political and economic stability, the traditional axis of conflict that have organized the latin american scene, standing at the forefront in the region. however, the changes outlined above would place us in a new scenario against which traditional resolution approaches presented seem inadequate. assuming this scenario, the challenges up front keep close relationship with the need to rethink not only what it claims to be modified, but also the constitutive ambivalence of the modernization process, being prioritary axis of analysis culture, integration and civil society . in order to understand this reconfiguration, this essay will attempt to develop a reconstruction of the notion of public space and to elucidate the specificity of the latin american experience, highlight the central themes of what has been called crisis of public space and characterize the new phenomena that defy contemporary chilean society as a whole.

These projects highlight the value of designing a construction strategy, allowing the creation of form rather than predefining it. On this occasion what is interesting is a strategy that resorts to conventional, almost primitive, techniques, elements and procedures, yet these articulate in ways that are both extraordinary and relevant.
