Cultural Factors That Influence the Intervention with Latin-American Minors  [PDF]

Abstract: This article tries to announce the cultural factors that influence the intervention with Latin-American minors. For it there offers a general vision of the situation that the minors present in some countries of Latin America (Colombia, Ecuador and Dominican Republic) due to the fact that according to information of the last poll of the National Institute of Statistics, in Spain they represent the second group of immigration and if one speaks about minors have a major presence in Spanish soil being outlined the band of age between the 10 to 19 years. It is a study of descriptive character; the interview is in use to key informants who come from Latin America especially from the renowned countries previously. In this investigation, the situation of the minors is described in risk in his native land, the familiar models inside the Latin culture, the role of the man and the woman, the migratory process, the meeting with the culture of reception, the reasons and motives that take these young persons to the formation of gangs, the situation that the same ones present in the Spanish company and which are the cultural guidelines that can influence at the moment of attend users of Latin-American origin. One has thought that the young persons form gangs to find the fondness and the attention, often denied in the home or to be protected from other gangs; on the other hand, it highlights an increase of the feminine headquarters where there is related to the belief increasingly widespread that the children are a private cost that must be taken up office basically for the women; in addition, the young persons observe his parents with the modal of economic but not emotional stability.

Abstract: this article′s intention is to underline the topos of proximity in derrida′s reading of heidegger, connecting it with the assumption of the unity of the word as the core of the possibility of the meaning of being, and with the autoaffection as a condition for the unity of meaning and proximity; unity which, at the same time, is a condition for presence. the critical relevance of this matrix is examined in and departing from being and time, as an inquiry on the possibility of understanding the question about being as a reabsorption of the ontic-existenziel into the ontologic-existenzial. finally, the concept of death is introduced as the limit of that which heidegger conceives only as possibility, and not, as derrida suggests, from its simultaneous and constitutive impossibility.
Characterizing preservice Teacher's responses to literacy: Read alouds a way to experience the joy for reading

Abstract: this article reports on a small-scale project which central purpose was to incorporate read-alouds in a pre-intermediate english as a foreign language class of preservice teachers during three weeks. students responded orally and in a written way on their journals to these readings showing understanding of the texts, relating their personal experiences and / or making connections to them. the project involved students of the undergraduate program in english teaching at universidad distrital francisco josé de caldas, bogotá. in all, 19 students were involved in the project. data collection sources for this project include students' journals, after the fact notes on students' oral interactions and a group interview. among the findings observed in this inquiry project include the intertextual connections (short, 1993) students make across the texts read in class with their personal experiences. most students' oral responses were characterized by code-switching; in general most students code switched depending on the difficulty of the answer. students benefited from the reading-alouds in terms of opportunities to interact among themselves, practice their oral and written skills, and enjoy the pleasures of reading, thus building ground to a positive experience that may be emulated in their future teaching exercise. finally, i discuss some implications of read-alouds with preservice teachers and teacher education programs in colombia.

Abstract: this action research was conducted at universidad nacional de colombia with nine preservice teachers of the philology and languages, with emphasis in english, at the upper- intermediate level of english. the study consisted of planning and evaluating a pedagogical intervention, which consisted of students exploring readings and/or their background knowledge and reflecting through journal entries about themes of their own choice. the instruments to collect information comprised the students' journals, field notes from a poster session and a questionnaire. the results allowed me to conclude that the students had the opportunity to exercise a degree of autonomy which involved free choice on the topics they explored. the journal became a language-learning tool for the students; likewise, throughout its development, they experienced the need to do some research in the area they were exploring, which allowed them to construct knowledge.

Abstract: this paper deals with the use of radio serial scripts as a historical source that allows the analysis of the ways in which both particular social groups and their daily problems were broadcast and represented from 1950 to 1970. this period was clearly characterized by the centrality of radio as mass media, and of radio melodrama as the main broadcast genre in latin america and, of course, in colombia. our purpose is to classify the different radio serial stories, after doing a topical description and critical assessment of their contents, in order to identify the typical ways in which women and family members were portrayed along with the conflicts relevant to rural migration, social mobility, and social promotion

Abstract: franja t is a group intervention strategy psychoanalytically oriented and was created in the university context for colombian mental health institutions. it is based upon the psychoanalytic theory of d. winnicott who affirms that the flaws of the facilitating environment, that occur during the maturation processes of the baby and originate most mental disorders, can be corrected. the corrective experience is made possible for all through the transitional phenomena. it is through the relationship between the external and interior worlds of the participants that the separation with the mother, the external world and other situations that imply suffering can become tolerable and acceptable, being able to give them sense. for the results analysis of the process that went trough two and a half years this were to gather in four elements: a) no use of the space. b) transitional phenomena from the object relationship towards the use relationship. c) object use expression according to the paradox -creation illusion and finding the object on the external reality-. d) resignificance. the research - intervention process with franja t permits, so far, to affirm that this strategy is a transitional phenomenon and there by is therapeutic and accurate for colombian mental health institutions.

Abstract: psychoanalysis was consolidated as a science at a time where the advantages of neuroscience didn't allowed giving satisfactory explications to certain psychological phenomena. this explains that even though roads travel by freud began at medicine and neurophysiologic investigations, these disciplines were not effective enough to understand phenomena as hysteria. some of the significant elements taken by freud from medicine and neurology are presented. the concept of resistance as an element of interference to gain deeper psychoanalytic knowledge is also discussed, and its relation to our preference for the post modern rush of producing novel knowledge, even superficial in some cases, or to propose new disciplines, in order to avoid depth in research and knowledge into already existing disciplines that still have a lot of internal development possibilities.

Abstract: La incursión en Colombia de la biotecnología, entendida como componente esencial del desarrollo industrial, económico y social se remonta a los últimos veinte a os. A principios de los noventa, el Gobierno Nacional por intermedio del Instituto Colombiano para el Desarrollo de la Ciencia y la Tecnología - Colciencias, al crear los once Programas Nacionales de Ciencia y Tecnología, incluyó entre éstos el Programa de Biotecnología. También se propuso como política de estado fomentar el conocimiento de la riqueza natural, en especial la biodiversidad y su aprovechamiento racional. En la actualidad el desarrollo académico e industrial de la biotecnología ha alcanzado niveles significativos, exigiendo cada día más la integración de sus diferentes participantes. Hasta el día de hoy no existía en nuestro país un órgano de divulgación entre los sectores involucrados en la biotecnología. Por ello hemos creído en la importancia de la creación de la Revista Colombiana de Biotecnología. Es denominada así por abarcar los diferentes tópicos de la biotecnología y por estar dise ada para ser una publicación a nivel nacional con proyección internacional.

Abstract: Resumen:Se busca resaltar el topos de la proximidad en la lectura que hace Derrida de Heidegger, conectándolo con la presuposición de la unidad de la palabra en tanto que núcleo de la posibilidad del sentido del ser, y con la autoafección como condición de la unidad del sentido y de la proximidad, condición a su vez de la presencia. Se examina luego la pertinencia crítica de esta matriz en y a partir de Ser y tiempo, en tanto que problematización de la posibilidad de la pregunta por el ser como reabsorción de lo óntico-existencivo en lo ontológico-existencial. Finalmente se presenta el concepto de muerte como el límite de lo que Heidegger sólo reconoce en su posibilidad, y no, como sugiere Derrida, en su simultánea y constitutiva imposibilidad.Abstract:This paper highlights the theme of proximity in Derrida’s reading of Heidegger. The paper connects the theme of proximity with the assumption of the unity of the word as the core of the possibility of the meaning of Being, and with the condition of the self as a condition for the unity of meaning, and for presence. This matrix of ideas is explored through a reading of Being and Time as a problematisation of the question of Being in terms of the reabsorption of the ontic-existential in the ontological-existential. Finally, the concept of death is interpreted as the limit of what Heidegger conceives of as possibility, and not, as Derrida suggests, as constitutive impossibility.
