Hernández,Carmen;
Revista Venezolana de Estudios de la Mujer , 2006,
Abstract: female, in classical or conventional terms, has deserved a chief place in art, either as form or theme, that is to say, female under a passive meaning, as a contemplative element and just a stimulus for the male universe. but since the 70?s of 20th century, female has assumed a conscious position, both in artistic production and in the theoretic field. this fact is put together with vindicatory social struggles, related also to activism for civil rights and equity in job. feminism has brought out a ?watchful sight? which has contributed to raise a new interpretation on reality, even art. thus a difference has appearedbetween female aesthetics and feminist aesthetics. feminist art has contributed then to recover outer, peripheral expressive forms, likewise has seen about the lack of neutrality of language and art, ethnics, sexuality and social class.
Hernández,Carmen E;
Revista de Obstetricia y Ginecología de Venezuela , 2007,
Abstract: objective: to determine the relation between the fetal biophysical variables and the acid base status of the arterial and venous blood sample of the umbilical cord. methods: clinical prospective study in 50 patients with criteria of obstetrical high risk, admitted with indication of cesarean section. a fetal biophysical profile according to manning and col., and assessment of amniotic fluid volume by the phelan method were performed. after clamping the umbilical cord, arterial and venous blood samples were obtained for analysis of acid base status. setting: delivery room at the maternidad ?concepción palacios?, caracas. results: patient were allocated into two groups according to the total score of the biophysical profile, with a cut point value of 6 and it was correlated with the biochemical parameters. metabolic acidosis was observed both in arterial and venous blood in the group with score smaller than 6 points, significant in ph, pressure of oxygen, co2 ?pressure and bicarbonate. fetal ph in relation to absence of each one of the variables, showed decrease that was marked when the affected variable was the fetal corporal movements. high sensitivity and specificity was observed, being able to detect a 84 % of fetuses with fetal distress, also, when a healthy fetus was identified by biophysical profile it is certain in 74 %. conclusions: a strong relationship between fetal biophysical profile and acid base status was found. the first altered variable was the fetal cardiac reactivity, with low variations in ph values. the absence of fetal corporal movements, with low values of fetal ph, was associated to severe hypoxia and several degrees of hypercapnia and hypoxemia. arterial ph was used separately like gold standard for each variable.

CONHISREMI , 2012,
Abstract: Endogenous development was born in communities with the participation of the collectivity, it is a change of the production system of the country, where every region requires the transformation of natural resources into goods and services, aimed at the satisfaction of the needs and demands of the population, generating employment and welfare and therefore quality of life. Therefore, the endogenous development is a production of the social economy unit. This demand include different forms of economy, as the production of goods and services of quality, the forms of labour, the values of work and shared growth, local customs. Therefore, the social economy requires rescue community values, with their processes, as well as supportive, cooperative values and humanists, for the change of the capitalist economic model to the social economy, to achieve happiness and quality of life of the citizen. So, that the social economy acquires both the significance of a tool for the defeat of poverty, economic, cultural, political and ideological; for the rescue of conceptions of progress and well-being. This social economic model of solidarity and social commitment ensures the inclusion of the Venezuelans and Venezuelan in the construction of the country.
Use of Cucurbit [6] Uril as a Modifier in the Electrochemical Determination of Antitumor Platinum (II) Complex: Trans-[PtCl2(Dimethylamine) (Isopropylamine)]. Application to Biological Samples  [PDF]

American Journal of Analytical Chemistry (AJAC) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ajac.2013.46040
Abstract:

A square wave voltammetry (DPV) method for trans-Pt[Cl2(Dimethylamine)(isopropylamine)] determination is developed. To this end, all the chemical and instrumental variables affecting the determination of trans-Pt[Cl2(Dimethylamine) (isopropylamine)] are optimized. From studies of the mechanisms governing the electrochemical response of trans-Pt[Cl2(Dimethylamine)(isopropylamine)], it was concluded that it was an electrochemically reversible system with an adsorptive oxidation phenomenon. Under optimal conditions, the variation of analytical signal (Ip) with trans-Pt[Cl2(Dimethylamine)(isopropylamine)] concentration was linear in the 0.05 μg·mL-1 to 10 μg·mL-1 range, with a LOD 91 μg·mL-1 of and a LOQ of

En primera persona: nosotras, investigadoras feministas

La aljaba , 2008,
Abstract: in this work we depart from our experience as researchers in the field of gender and we intend to reflect on the difficulties, limits and tensions we faced when we participated in a wider research project where gender constituted just a category of analysis. the project was wide in the sense that included both many axes of analysis and researchers placed in different geographical points of the country. the object of study had been constituted from diverse theoretical traditions that transcended those we where used to work with. we believe that the experience we went through in this process recreates a problematic common to many researchers that intend to articulate gender perspectives in objects of study that are conceptualized from other theoretical fields, without taking into account the intersections that need to be built. this question refers to epistemological considerations. our immediate agenda, which is certainly new in terms of our work, is a humble contribution to the wider challenge of approaching the constitution of science as androcentric. in the present article we offer a brief theoretical base and we reflect on the design, field work, and a few results, offering some elements to give an account of some of the difficulties we faced working with other colleagues pertaining to theoretical fields others than gender studies.
Hernández,Adriana; Reybet,Carmen;
La aljaba , 2005,
Abstract: the present work approaches physical education as a schooling space particularly significant in the production of the gendered subjectivity. from a foucaultian perspective on discourse, as constitutive of social life, we use the term discursive practices in the sense that habilitates the recognition of the interrelation among ideas, the schooling institution and the specific technologies that produce life in schools. in this article we intend to make visible the articulation of discursive practices that structure experiences, classifications and distinctions of men and women. the category 'hidden curriculum' is re-signified as a dispositive articulating certain relations of knowledge and power. from a gender perspective, we try to understand the particular power effects on the bodies of girls and boys in the classes of physical education.
Hernández,Adriana; Reybet,Carmen;
Revista argentina de sociolog?-a , 2007,
Abstract: physical education is a rich field in gender meanings and principles. within school practices, it is thus positioned as one of the spaces for the strongest identity building as regards gender and sexuality. these meanings and principles, understood as a result of social and historical practices, classify and order the world and experiences of girls and boys in a segmented, fragmented way. based on the relevance of a broad notion of curriculum as an articulating mechanism of some knowledge-power relations at school, this paper provides a comparative approach in physical education, from the standpoint of gender and the production of sexual difference. by curriculum we understand not only the prescriptive framework featured in the "written" curriculum, but also the "hidden" curriculum, i.e., those social mandates that regulate schooling practices. our analysis is focused on the physical education curricula in canada and argentina. first, we look at the curricular issue as seen on the written text, focusing on health and physical education curricula in the province of ontario, canada, and the area of physical education in argentina's introductory courses at the university of buenos aires, argentina. then we analyze some aspects of the hidden curriculm.
