Carmen Silva Robles

Fonseca : Journal of Communication , 2012,
In english: The Web 2.0 has done that young designers can generate and disseminate audiovisual content through social media, without having to go through the usual channels of distribution, until now essential. By the P.C. or the P.D.A. receptors await eager to consume video, an activity that increasingly spend more hours... with a fundamental difference: we have to watch the TV for online audiovisual consume more in other systems and transmitters.With this background, in Andalusia we live the birth of series, considered and of worship, which have shown the potential of our young artists. However, the periodical of chapters is a financial investment that most of them can not afford.Meanwhile, media agencies are faced with the phenomenon of online advertising. The executives
Biodrying under Greenhouse Conditions as Pretreatment for Horticultural Waste  [PDF]
Fabián Robles-Martínez, Elizabeth M. Silva-Rodríguez, Teodoro Espinosa-Solares, Belem Pi?a-Guzmán, Carmen Calixto-Mosqueda, Francisco J. Colomer-Mendoza, Enrique Durán-Páramo
Journal of Environmental Protection (JEP) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/jep.2012.34038
Abstract: The biodrying process was studied as an alternative technology to reduce the mass and volume of horticultural waste. Four static piles were prepared inside a greenhouse: two containing whole waste and two consisting of shredded waste. All the piles were compared with a test pile containing whole waste and placed outside the greenhouse. In two cases, ventilation ducts were installed to improve aeration. Each greenhouse was 2.0 m wide, 3.5 m long and 1.16 m high. The air temperature and relative humidity were monitored both inside and outside the greenhouse. Mass, humidity, organic matter and total nitrogen in the waste were measured. Piles inside the greenhouse showed decreases of 80% and 75% in weight and volume, respectively, during the first 16 days. The data obtained in this work suggest that biodrying could improve the handling and transport of horticultural waste while also minimizing the impact of pollutants.
Respuesta inflamatoria sistémica en cirugía cardíaca pediátrica
Lespron Robles, Ma. del Carmen;
Archivos de cardiología de México , 2006,
Abstract: systemic inflammatory response (sir) constitutes generalized, non- specific response to tissue injury of whatever etiology, and is a rapid, highly amplified, controlled humeral and cellular response. cardiopulmonary bypass (cpb) is necessary in many cardiac surgery as in adults as children. also we know the undesirable effects of sir. the pediatric surgical team to treat of management very well if exist the threat of undesirable outcome after cpb. there are several key components of the inflammatory response to cardiac surgery involve the complement, immune and endothelial systems. cytokines may exert either proinflammatory or antiinflammatory effects. cytokines are essential for immunologic and physiologic homeostasis, are normally subject to thight homeostatic control, and are produced in response to a variety of physiologic and pathologic stimuli. an uncontrolled inflammatory response appears to play a significant role in the morbidity or mortality observed in patients undergoing cpb. the inflammatory response contributes to the pathogenesis of acute pulmonary, cardiovascular, neurologic, splanchnic, hematologic, and immune system dysfunction following cardiac surgery. the development of strategies to control the inflammatory response following cardiac surgery is currently the focus of considerable research efforts. diverse techniques, including maintenance of hemodynamic stability, minimization of exposure to cpb circuitry, and pharmacologic and immunomodulatory agents have been studied. also hemofiltration, leukodepletion, the use of serine protease inhibitors and corticosteroids. molecular biology is revolutionizing medicine and the ability to assess the impact of genetic variability on disease characterization and perioperative outcome. recent evidence suggests that the degree and severity of surgical- induced inflammation may be significantly influenced by genotype.

Silva, Leticia Robles;
Cadernos de Saúde Pública , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-311X2004000200032
Abstract: this article focuses on home care for chronically ill adults and seniors. according to our thesis, home care should be understood as a self-care system, and its aim is to guarantee the individual's social and bodily survival. home care consists of three areas, related to illness, the home, and to life history. caregiving, usually under women's responsibility, is present throughout the history of the illness and the health-seeking process. the article analyzes these issues in light of the ageing process, the epidemiological changes occurring worldwide, and the urgency to incorporate this analysis into the heath care research agenda.
Robles-Silva,Leticia;
Ciência & Saúde Coletiva , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-81232012000300005
Abstract: this paper explores some ethical dilemmas faced while doing fieldwork. ethical norms are not enough to appraise the relationship between researchers and participants; a reflexivity practice is needed to understand the dilemmas aroused during this process. here four issues faced during fieldwork are presented. the academic social time usually defines the schedule of fieldwork; hence, the researcher may decide to follow the academic schedule or to arrange a different schedule with informants. researchers usually decide which part of their identity will be disclosed for introducing themselves to the informants; but may also decide to hide who really he/she is. researchers may cope with the dilemma to disclose their private life to informants during the fieldwork. researchers also may decide to behave according to academic cultural norms of reciprocity or according to the cultural norms of participants. finally, a reflexivity movement should be developed in iberoamerica to define an agenda on ethical issues and to develop decolonizing strategies to debate these ethical dilemmas.
