Abstract: this study presents the result of an action research that was carried out in a small technology-based company, in which the scrum agile methodology was applied in software product project. the company object of this research operates in itajubá/mg, and its main products are software systems. studies have shown that the software industry is inefficient and ineffective. micro and small technology-based companies have an even greater challenge, considering their limited resources. furthermore, traditional methods of software product development are expensive. considering that the strategic importance of micro and small technology-based companies in regional development, scrum should be compatible with their processes, so that they could become more competitive and reap its benefits the objective of this paper is to monitor and assist the implementation of scrum agile methodology in new software product development in a small technology-based company to understand and measure the impact of the use of this methodology in the company. the final results of the research show that this methodology increased the team's motivation, reduced the cost, time, and risk of the project, and increased productivity. therefore, with these results, the organization tends to be more competitive since a successful product development management is crucial to the success of a technology-based company.

Abstract: O processo de desenvolvimento de produtos (PDP) é um fator crítico de sucesso no lan amento de um novo produto para atender os requisitos dos clientes. A ado o de um modelo de referência serve como um guia detalhado para auxiliar as organiza es na gest o e sistematiza o do PDP, através da sequência padronizada de etapas que s o adaptadas de acordo com o tipo de produto que a empresa desenvolve. O objetivo deste artigo é selecionar um modelo de referência do processo de desenvolvimento de produtos para uma empresa do ramo de autope as através de um método de auxílio à decis o por multicritério denominado Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). O método de pesquisa utilizado foi a modelagem, que diante de seis alternativas, três critérios e julgamento de cinco especialistas resultou na sele o do modelo de Rozenfeld et al. (2006) como o modelo mais indicado para realizar a análise do PDP da empresa objeto de estudo em pesquisas futuras. The Product Development Process (PDP) is a critical success factor in launching a new product to meet customer requirements. The adoption of a reference model serves as a comprehensive guide to assist organizations in managing and systematization of the PDP, through standardized sequence of steps that are adapted to the type of product that the company develops. The aim of this paper is to select a reference model of the product development process for the auto part sector by establishing an aid to multi-criteria decision known as Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The research method used was modeling, which before six alternatives, three criteria and trial of five experts resulted in the selection of Rozenfeld et al. (2006) reference model as the most suitable model to analyze the company's PDP selected as object of study in future research.

Abstract: for a technology-based company (tbc) to remain competitive, it must focus on reducing development time and on introducing key technologies into its products. this paper aims to analyze the use of technology roadmapping (trm) as a means of selecting a reference product for the application of a process of reverse engineering (re), as a part of the product development process of a tbc. the integration between those techniques was analyzed through a case study. market completion, product, and trm technology analysis provided means to find, in the market, a reference product with advanced characteristics enabling the application of re processes. the result was the reduced product development time focused on customer and market needs with better technologies and features when compared to the reference product. improvements in production cost, selling price, installation costs, installation time, product adaptability and weight were observed. the integration of those techniques provided means for the company to enter in the market with a product that already with competitive advantage due to its improved development. after analyzing the results, it was possible to systematize the integration of those two techniques.

Abstract: O processo de desenvolvimento de produtos é crítico para a competitividade das empresas, devido ao aumento da variedade de produtos, à redu o do ciclo de vida dos produtos e principalmente à internacionaliza o dos mercados. Dessa forma, a identifica o dos fatores críticos de sucesso é imprescindível no desenvolvimento de um novo produto devido ao alto grau de risco e incerteza. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo principal a identifica o dos fatores críticos de sucesso no desenvolvimento de produtos (DP) das empresas de biotecnologia do estado de Minas Gerais. O método de pesquisa utilizado foi a survey, ou seja, um questionário foi elaborado e enviado para uma amostra de 31 empresas do setor de biotecnologia do estado de Minas Gerais, a fim de coletar informa es necessárias. As variáveis foram correlacionadas pelo método de regress o dos mínimos quadrados parciais. Desse modo, foram identificadas as variáveis que tendem a contribuir, limitar ou s o neutras com rela o ao tempo de desenvolvimento e aumento da idade da empresa. New product development process is critical to companies' competitiveness due to the increased variety of products, reduction of product life cycle and, especially, internationalization of markets. Thus, critical success factors identification are essential in new product development because of the high degree of risk and uncertainty. The main purpose of the present study was to identify the critical success factors in product development of biotechnology companies in the State of Minas Gerais. The research method used was the survey; a questionnaire was prepared and sent to a sample of 31 companies from the biotechnology sector in the State of Minas Gerais in order to collect the necessary information. Thus, the variables that tend to contribute, limit, or are neutral with respect to new product development time and age of company were identified.

Abstract: this research analyzes the incorporation of risk management in the product development process (pdp) in auto parts companies, based on advanced product and quality planning (apqp), and emphasizes the delivery of project development proposed by the production part approval process (ppap) and conducts a review of the literature, establishing the theoretical foundations for its development. the research method used was action research, where data were collected through documentary analysis, interviews and researchers' observations. the incorporation of risk management contributes to the pdp-making processes, especially in the stages of qualitative risk analysis and planning of responses to risk, providing greater accuracy of the time and identification of critical activities. the factors that emerged as most important for guaranteeing the accuracy of the results are: team building; collective discussion of deadlines set, resulting in commitment; the role of project manager, providing feedback from the participants; the existence of objective evidence in support of senior management. it follows that team-building impacts on risk management, as in the perceived risk to ongoing education.

Abstract: Esta pesquisa analisa a incorpora o do gerenciamento de riscos no processo de desenvolvimento de produtos (PDP) nas empresas de autope as, fundamentado no Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), enfatiza as entregas do projeto de desenvolvimento preconizadas pelo Production Parts Approval Process (PAPP) e realiza uma revis o bibliográfica estabelecendo os fundamentos teóricos para seu desenvolvimento. O método de pesquisa utilizado foi a pesquisa-a o, cujos dados foram coletados por meio de análise documental, entrevistas e observa es dos pesquisadores. A incorpora o do gerenciamento de riscos no PDP contribui para o processo decisório, principalmente nas etapas de análise de riscos qualitativos e de planejamento de respostas aos riscos, fornecendo maior precis o quanto aos prazos e à identifica o das atividades críticas. Os fatores que se destacaram para se obter a precis o dos resultados s o: a forma o da equipe; a discuss o coletiva dos prazos fornecidos, tendo como resultado o comprometimento; o papel do gerente do projeto, propiciando o feedback entre os participantes, e a existência de evidências objetivas do apoio da alta administra o. Conclui-se que a forma o da equipe influencia no gerenciamento de riscos, sendo preponderante na percep o dos riscos a forma o educacional. Abstract: the aim of this work is to analyze the implementation of a reference model for the project and development of services in a road passenger transport company. the main goals were to minimize three problems related to services development process: the absence of systematic approach, the absence of documents and records that assure the control of the services development description, and the absence of tests documentation for the verification and validation of the developed service. the reference model was chosen by using multivariate analysis of variance and the action-research strategy. a smart card payment system service development for the road passengers' transport was the object of study. the research provided recommendations of improvements for the reference model and for the implementation of a systematic service development process in the company.

Abstract: despite the wide adoption of quality management systems and standards recognized all over the world by organizations, little attention has been given to internal communication practices which may contribute to an organization-s quality promotion. if an organization wants its members to commit to the delivery of good quality products and services, the individuals must receive information that enables them to understand and accept their individual and collective roles in this process. this research seeks to understand how internal communication can be utilized as a quality promotion instrument. the investigation was conducted through the case study method with the contribution of a global communication company. the results obtained enabled the identification of the combined determinant factors to be considered in the use of internal communication as a quality promotion instrument, with proposals focused on: segmentation of internal public; language coherence; strategic use of visual resources; results communication; development of a quality culture, and the understanding of internal communication as a process.

Abstract: currently, great importance has been given to the quality of the public services offered to citizens. proposals of management have emerged in private and public organizations, including educational institutions, as a differential for the improvement of services offered. quality programs such as gespública have become an option for institutions interested in improving quality. the aim of this study is to determine which public institutions of higher education have a quality program such as gespública implemented. the motivations and constraints (inhibitors) to join the program were also investigated. the motivational factors for found for adhesion to the programs are: improvement in the attendance; providing satisfaction; continuous improvement in the institutional management processes; bureaucratic culture reduction; management based on processes and information (facts) and better valuation, qualification of the servers; and efficient information management.. the inhibitor factors found are insufficient structure/resources for the program implementation; program's cost;, low qualification and advanced age of the servers; institutional inexperience with quality programs; excessive bureaucracy; lack of consolidated examples of the program implementation in educational institutions.
