Acuerdos Comunes de Validez: Diálogo entre la Metodología Cuantitativa y Cualitativa
Acevedo,Carlos;
Cinta de moebio , 2011, DOI: 10.4067/S0717-554X2011000300004
Abstract: this article is divided into three sections. first, we define the state of physical science and logical positivism, concluding the transit of both towards constructivism. second, we outlined the piaget constructivism. third, with the intention of developing an example of this confluence in social sciences, we argue that few criteria of qualitative methodology validity are completely complementary to those contained in the statistics (paradigmatic technique used for quantitative analysis).
ABSTRACT: This essay carries out an accounting exercise on the economic costs derived from the violence situation which prevails in El Salvador, using information for 2007. Those costs are classified into four main categories: i) costs on health; ii) institutional costs (legal, judiciary and police); iii) preventive costs for private security; and iv) material losses. The results from the estimations performed indicate that, in 2007, the different expressions and consequences derived from the violence situation imponed on El Salvador an economic cost which was equivalent to 10,9% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and more than twice the combined budget allocations to Education and Health.
Acevedo Rodríguez,Carlos;
Gaceta Laboral , 2011,
Abstract: based on the observation that chilean society, in a context of high economic growth, is polarized in terms of job insecurity and divided with respect to some elements that define conformity with the political regime and the economic system, two questions arise. the first questions the explanatory capacity of an insecure worker to give or not give legitimacy to the democratic, economic regime. the second questions the degree to which this labor polarization brings us closer to a potential conflict. to answer such questions, a theoretical overlap was constructed that accounts for the theoretical conditions, necessary but not sufficient, for the advent of potential conflict, key for social polarization. a survey was constructed and applied in the city of iquique, chile (a city that has grown extensively in recent decades). conclusions are that, although insecure workers are more discontented than secure workers, instead of promoting conditions for conflict, job insecurity promotes social atomization.
SOBRE LA COHERENCIA Y LAS IMPLICANCIAS DE UN LIBERALISMO COHERENTE NO MULTICULTURALISTA
Acevedo Rodríguez,Carlos;
Alpha (Osorno) , 2009, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-22012009000100007
Abstract: this essay discusses the logical in incoherence associating liberal thought with the development (of multiculturalist proposals, and it identifies the latest implications of being a coherent liberal. for this undertaking, first, we show the contradictions of two multiculturalists authors who also try to call themselves liberal, (kymlicka and walzer), and second, we analyze the consequences of one liberal author that rejects multiculturalists approaches (barry).

Precarización laboral y legitimación del modelo económico y político: Iquique-Chile, como caso de estudio Job Insecurity and Legitimation of the Political- Economic Model: Case Study: Iquique, Chile
Carlos Acevedo Rodríguez
Gaceta Laboral , 2011,
Based on the observation that Chilean society, in a context of high economic growth, is polarized in terms of job insecurity and divided with respect to some elements that define conformity with the political regime and the economic system, two questions arise.
GERMANI Y EL ESTRUCTURAL FUNCIONALISMO, EVOLUCIONISMO Y FE EN LA RAZóN: ASPECTOS DE LA INVOLUCIóN IRRACIONAL

In this essay, we do a sketch of the theoretical sources of Germani reflection on the process of modernization. We analyze the limits of these and the danger that has lose of sight (or try to do) the elements that interrelate our political and scientific position.
SOBRE LA COHERENCIA Y LAS IMPLICANCIAS DE UN LIBERALISMO COHERENTE NO MULTICULTURALISTA On coherence and the implications of a non-multiculturalist coherent liberalism
Carlos Acevedo Rodríguez
Alpha (Osorno) , 2009,
This essay discusses the logical in incoherence associating liberal thought with the development (of multiculturalist proposals, and it identifies the latest implications of being a coherent liberal. For this undertaking, first, we show the contradictions of two multiculturalists authors who also try to call themselves liberal, (Kymlicka and Walzer), and second, we analyze the consequences of one liberal author that rejects multiculturalists approaches (Barry).
?ústez,Carlos Eduardo; Acevedo,Julio César;
Agronomía Colombiana , 2005,
Abstract: this work was aimed at evaluating the effect of penicillium janthinellum b. (reported as phosphorus solubilising microorganism in the soil) on the efficiency of phosphoric fertilisation of soil for the potato crop ('diacol capiro' variety). seven treatments were evaluated in four experiments carried out in the colombian departments of cundinamarca, boyacá and antioquia. these treatments corresponded to five levels of p2o5 applied to the soil (0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 kg· ha-1) combined with applying fosfosol? biofertiliser (2 l· ha-1) containing penicillium janthinellum b. fungus, compared to two witness treatments (absolute and commercial). the variables analysed were p concentration in foliar tissue, dry leaf matter of leaves, stems and tubers in flowering, specific gravity and tuber yield. the results revealed that there was no response to applying penicillium janthinellum b. and responses to edaphic phosphorous levels were observed in some localities. the p in foliar tissue ranged from 0.14% to 0.34%, no difference being observed amongst treatments. average yield varied between 29.7 and 35.7 t· ha-1.
