Some counterexamples and properties on generalizations of Lindel f spaces
Filippo Cammaroto,Grazia Santoro
International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences , 1996, DOI: 10.1155/s0161171296001020
Abstract: In this paper we give some significative counterexamples to prove that some well known generalizations of Lindel f property are proper. Also we give some new results, we introduce and study the almost regular-Lindelof spaces as a generalization of the almost-Lindel f spaces and as a new and significative application of the quasi-regular open subsets of [1].
Almost 3-continuous functions
F. Cammaroto,T. Noiri
International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences , 1992, DOI: 10.1155/s0161171292000498
Abstract: In this paper, a new class of functions called “almost 3-continuous ” is introduced and their several properties are investigated. This new class is also utilized to improve some published results concerning weak continuity [6] and 3-continuity [2].
On the ′-continuous fixed point property
F. Cammaroto,T. Noiri
International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences , 1990, DOI: 10.1155/s0161171290000060
Abstract: In this paper, we define and investigate the ′-continuous retraction and the ′-continuous fixed point property. Theorem 1 of Connell [11] and Theorem 3.4 of Arya and Deb [2] are improved.
A Liouville-type theorem for the homogeneous wave equation
Filippo Cammaroto,Antonia Chinnì
Le Matematiche , 2002,
Abstract: In this paper, we characterize those bounded from below solutions of a homogeneous wave equation on R^2 which are constant.
ANáLISIS DE LAS ESTRATEGIAS INSTRUCCIONALES EMPLEADAS POR LOS PROFESORES DEL áREA DE MATEMáTICA.: CASO: UNIVERSIDAD SIMóN BOLíVAR. SEDE LITORAL
Cammaroto,; Martins,Feliberto; Palella,Santa;
Investigación y Postgrado , 2003,
Abstract: the research is conceived in the education-university-society concept. its basic purpose was to analyze the instructional strategies used by the mathematics professors at simón bolívar university ?s coast campus. to that end, a diagnosis was made of the teaching techniques, activities and learning tools used in the mathematics classes. as regards the learning process, the study was grounded in the principles of the constructivism (kilpatrick (1995), cognitive psychology and instructional strategies (szczurek (1989). the methodology used was that of descriptive field research, with a non-experimental design. the sample consisted of the 13 mathematics professors and 90 students taking courses in that discipline. a questionnaire-based survey was applied, one aimed at the students and another at the professors. both were validated by expert judgment and the reliability of both instruments was determined through a pilot test using cronbach?s alpha statistic. given results obtained and the contrast of information, it became clear that the instructional strategy used by most professors it is the exposition (lecture class); in response, the students follow the patterns of traditional education; they observe and listen the professor and go no further than to take notes; and the instructional materials used in class are the blackboard and theoretical-practical study booklets.
INTEGRACIóN DE LAS UNIVERSIDADES CON EL SECTOR PRODUCTIVO
Feliberto Martins,Luz Maritza Neris,Agatina Cammaroto
Cardinal functions $F_θ(X)$ and $t_θ(X)$ for H-closed spaces
Filippo Cammaroto,Andrei Catalioto,Jack Porter
Mathematics , 2012,
Abstract: In this article, starting with results from a paper by Cammaroto and Ko\v{c}inac in 1993, we prove that $t_{\theta}(X) = t_{\theta}(X_{s}) = t(X_{s}) = F_{\theta}(X) = F_{\theta}(X_{s}) = F(X_{s})$ for every H-closed and Urysohn space and we present some useful examples to study the full relationships among the cardinal functions $t$, $t_{\theta}$, $F$ and $F_{\theta}$ in the context of H-closed and Urysohn spaces. Also, we construct an H-closed space $H$ for which $F_{\theta}(H) < t_{\theta}(H)$. Two questions posed by Cammaroto and Ko\v{c}inac about H-closed spaces are answered.
On the cardinality of Hausdorff spaces
Filippo Cammaroto,Andrei Catalioto,Jack Porter
Mathematics , 2012,
Abstract: A common generalization for two of the main streams of cardinality inequalities is developed; each stream derives from the famous inequality established by A.V. Arhangel'ski\u{\i} in 1969 for Hausdorff spaces. At the end of one stream is the recent inequality by Bella and at the end of the second stream is the 1988 inequality by Bella and Cammaroto. This generalization is extended and used to analyze a result containing an increasing chain of spaces that satisfies the same cardinality inequality. The paper is concluded with some open problems.
Absolutes of Hausdorff spaces and cardinal invariants $F_{\te}$ and $t_{\te}$}
Filippo Cammaroto,Andrei Catalioto,Jack Porter
Mathematics , 2012,
Abstract: This article extends the recent study of the cardinal functions $F_{\theta}$ and $t_{\theta}$ for H-closed Urysohn spaces and the research of I. Bandlov and V.I. Ponomarev on tightness type of absolutes. In particular, basic results are obtained and used to study the relationships among the cardinal functions $t$, $t_{\theta}$, $F$ and $F_{\theta}$ in the context of Iliadis and Banaschewski absolutes of Hausdorff spaces.
Diagonalizations of dense families
Maddalena Bonanzinga,Filippo Cammaroto,Bruno Antonio Pansera,Boaz Tsaban
Mathematics , 2012,
Abstract: We develop a unified framework for the study of properties involving diagonalizations of dense families in topological spaces. We provide complete classification of these properties. Our classification draws upon a large number of methods and constructions scattered in the literature, and on some novel results concerning the classical properties.
