ANáLISE ERGON MICA DO TRABALHO APLICADA A UM POSTO DE TRABALHO COM SOBRECARGA FíSICA
Camilla Rosa Ormelez,Leandra Ulbricht
Revista Uniandrade , 2010,
Art Blended Research and Children’s Gender Identity Making  [PDF]
Camilla H?llgren
Creative Education (CE) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2015.622240
Abstract: The intention with this article is to explore how visuals and written text may combine to further understandings about complex matters such as gendered aspects of the human condition. To do so, I bring together my professional practices as researcher and artist by theorizing, conceptualizing and visualizing aspects of children’s gender identity making. As such, this article is conceptual rather than empirical and covers issues about learning, existentialism, social constructivism, children, identity, and gender. It also exemplifies what I call Art Blended Research, an approach that draws on the insight of that there is more to see than meets the eye. In conclusion, the strength of this approach does not lie in the ability to explain what is. Instead, the strength of Art Blended Research is found in possible explorations and inspirations of what might be.
Shifting Realities: Migration and Surreality in the Work of Remedios Varo
Camilla Sutherland
Opticon1826 , 2012, DOI: 10.5334/opt.ad
Abstract: This paper will examine Spanish painter Remedios Varo’s attempts to capture the complexities of immigrant reality during her exile in Mexico between 1941 and1963. It will analyse themes of displacement and migration within her oeuvre, focusing on the following three concepts: migration as escape, perpetual motion, and permeable spaces. Through this analysis, it aims to interrogate the manner in which the unfixing of traditional notions of reality, seen within Varo’s work, was both influenced by and articulates the experience of exile.
Integrating a traditional minority into a Nordic society: Elite discourse on the Finnish Roma
Nordberg, Camilla
Social Work and Society , 2005,
Abstract: Contemporary citizenship studies have been more concerned with the theory and philosophy of citizenship than with empirical studies. The general objective of this contribution is to broaden the understanding of how notions of citizenship are constructed and re-valued in the social world. The study draws on a qualitative analysis of political elite discourse on Romani issues in the Finnish Parliament from 1989-2003. How issues concerning the Roma are debated elucidates the dilemmas of universal rights and duties within the Nordic welfare model, and the possibilities for cultural diversity within this framework. While the Finnish parliamentary debate accentuated tolerance and the acceptance of difference as strengthening factors for Finnish social citizenship, it was not before the new millennium that the political discourse changed to increasingly stress notions of discrimination and structural inequalities in relation to the incapability to provide for a full an inclusive citizenship as regards the Romani minority.

TERMINATION-OF-PREGNANCY RIGHTS AND FOETAL INTERESTS IN CONTINUED EXISTENCE IN SOUTH AFRICA: THE CHOICE ON TERMINATION OF PREGNANCY ACT 92 OF 1996
Camilla Pickles
Potchefstroom Electronic Law Journal/Potchefstroomse Elektroniese Regsblad , 2012,
Abstract: The aim of this article is to demonstrate that, although South Africa has permissive termination-of-pregnancy legislation, to the extent that women can terminate first- and second-trimester pregnancies on demand and for socio-economic reasons, foetal interests are in fact taken into account. The system of female reproductive rights progressively shelters foetal interests, albeit to a limited extent. South Africa is in the process of successfully balancing the conflicting notions of female reproductive rights and foetal interests. The article discusses the "right to terminate a pregnancy" with reference to the Constitution, the Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Act 92 of 1996 and relevant case law. On the topic of foetal interests, the article looks at the Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Act as legislative recognition of foetal interests since a woman's right to terminate her pregnancy is progressively limited as the pregnancy advances beyond the second trimester. The value of dignity justifies the recognition of foetal interests. Further, accepting that the Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Act limitedly protects foetal interests based on the value of dignity, the article questions why South Africa permits elective second trimester termination of pregnancies? Research indicates a need for second trimester terminations and the article discusses the position of a number of women seeking second trimester terminations. The article draws to an end by looking at the case of S v Mshumpa as an example of the balancing process that is needed when dealing with female reproductive rights and foetal interests. This article demonstrates the constitutional setting of women's termination-of-pregnancy rights on the one hand, and foetal interests on the other. Further, it illustrates that these conflicting positions, rather than being deepened, are in fact balanced by legislation and relevant case law.
RESISTêNCIA CULTURAL E RECONSTRU O DE IDENTIDADES: UM OLHAR SOBRE A CULTURA MATERIAL DE ESCRAVOS DO SéCULO XIX
Camilla Agostini
This work searches for the so explored enslaved African universe that served as manual work in the empire, and, more specifically, in the XIX century in Rio de Janeiro. History has been showing, through oral and written sources, that there was undoubtedly some resistance to slavery. Our proposal is archeolo-gically try to identify strategies of that resistance, raising the importance of the study or the symbols created and dynamized by the slave contingent. Conside-ring that this contingent was formed by a great variety of different ethinic groups that were joined here, we tried to notice how ethic aspects were kept and the consequent restitution of the feeling of identify. In order to do that, we consider that archaelogical vestiges, directly related to the slaves, can give a new contri-bution. In this case, our analysis concentrated on ceramic pipes found at histori-cal archaeological sites of that period.
Ibn azm on Homosexuality. A case-study of āhirī legal Methodology
Adang, Camilla
Al-Qantara : Revista de Estudios Arabes , 2003,
Abstract: This article discusses the views of the teologian and legal scholar Ibn azm of Cordoba (d. 456/1064) on homosexuality. Although reference is made to his literary work awq al- amāma, which is rich in anecdotes on homoerotic attraction, the article focuses on Ibn azm's multivolume legal tract Kitāb al-Mu allā, a work written from a āhirī, or literalist perspective. A step-by-step analysis of Ibn Hazm's legal reasoning on homosexuality, both male (liwā ) and female (si āq) is provided, and comparisons with the views of other jurist, especially Mālikis, are made. Unlike his Mālikī contemporaries, Ibn azm holds that homosexuality is not to be equated with fomication (zinā), which incurs the death penalty. Instead, he advocates a relatively mild punishment of up to ten lashes for homosexual practices, based upon his idiosyncratic interpretation of the revealed sources which is illustrated here. Although Ibn azm is believed by some modem authors to have had homosexual leanings himself, he categorically condemns sexual contacts between members of the same sex as immoral and sinful, and believes that homosexuals should be reformed.
