Calderón Cockburn,Julio;
EURE (Santiago) , 2011, DOI: 10.4067/S0250-71612011000200003
Abstract: this study analyzes the relationship between recorded land titles and real estate markets in areas of lima, peru, that were settled informally and/or illegally. it uses both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. it shows that, in settlements in the process of consolidation, titled land has higher market value than land without a title. however, the existence of a recorded title does not necessarily contribute to the predominance of formal real estate market transactions; in fact, the trend of informal transactions in rentals, purchases and sales persists.

Abstract: carmen berenguer?s writing is shaped by two fundamentals questions: what is the place of literature? and if i?m a woman, who am i? thus, the discursive hybridism contemplated in naciste pintada is part of a new urban articulation from a female poet?s vision living in a fragmented world. the city described in this novel is neo-baroque, maked-up and essentially disguised. the home, immanent and feminine, place of woman?s specula(risa)tion, becomes public, and denatures the hegemonic discourse of the city, transcendent and masculine. the lost of its private characteristic subverts the house?s imaginary and implies social changes. in naciste pintada, we perceive two women?s discourses inserted in two specifics cities: the first one is poetic (valparaiso, the lost center of the poet), and the other is colloquial (santiago, her habitat). the house, metonymic trope, suggests another significant map of the city, and establishes the woman aterritoriality in the post-modern world.
Do?a Urraca de Moscoso: de la crónica a su testamento. Perfil de una noble gallega de la segunda mitad del siglo XV
La aljaba , 2007,
Abstract: mrs. urraca de mocoso's will, wrote and signed by herself, who died in 1498, on a fertile interbreeding with vasco de aponte's recuento de las casas antiguas del reino de galicia (reencounter of the ancient houses of the galician kingdom), will enable to trace a brief outline of her journey of life, her contingencies and an approach to her day to day life, which will bring more light over her femenine roles as a female member of the violent galizian royalty, which channelling turned to be one of the main tasks of the "reyes católicos".

Abstract: we indicate how to handle a large database consisting of nonlinear time series, applying different nonlinear modelling techniques to this kind of times series. nowadays in the current references there is no explicit guide of how to manipulate data from nonlinear time series; however, there are approaches that can be taken account. to this end we studied a monthly database corresponding to south oscillation index (soi) and between the years 1886 to 2006. it explains how there must manipulated this database whose data possess nonlinear characteristic, which will be used to do forecasts several steps ahead. two standard tests to this database were applied, the average mutual information (ami) and the false nearest neighbours (fnn). the optimal spacing of the information was obtained as well as the number of values backward necessary to predict values towards the future. then, several models were designed of artificial neural nets (ann), with different learning rules, function of transfer, elements of process (or neurons) in the hidden layer, etc., that allowed to do forecasting of up to 20 steps ahead. the best networks were those that possessed the rules of learning called extdbd and delta-rule, and sigmoid as well as hyperbolic tangent as function of transfer. the type of used network was one of feedforward multilayer perceptron and trained by means of backpropagation technique. networks were proved by one, two hidden layers and without any hidden layer. the best model that was obtained it turned out to be one that consisted with an alone hidden layer.
Actualización: sífilis en medicina legal
Murillo Calderón,Adriana;
Medicina Legal de Costa Rica , 2011,
Abstract: syphilis is a complex disease caused by bacteria, characterized by a wide variety of clinical presentations, which have earned the name of the great imitator or the great impostor. despite the technological development and therapeutic options, sexually transmitted disease remains present in our society as in ancient times, being that regardless of the efforts to reduce its prevalence have remain high. the roles of the forensic attendant in the exploration of sexual crimes include the clearance of possibilities of sexually transmitted diseases. the implications associated with this type of transmission in both medico-legal and clinical features of the pathologies make necessary for the physician to know these topic, and being syphilis one of the most complex, it is considered necessary to review this condition.
Incesto: enfoque médico legal
Murillo Calderón,Adriana;
Medicina Legal de Costa Rica , 2012,
Abstract: incest refers to sexual activity conducted among members of one family, so they can not legally marry. in our society and culture is considered a taboo and the same referred to the different variants of the same in the criminal code under the crime of rape. incest, so it is a type of sexual abuse is a gradual repetitive activity, ranging from months to years before the revelation of the secret, occurs in all social classes and racial and established that the perpetrators are predominantly male and the victims are female. the forensic evaluation in cases of incest is the same as is done in cases of sexual offenses by an open and non-directed interview, a physical examination, with the full consent of those involved and with laboratory tests and mainly avoiding revictimization of victims
Radiculopatía cervical
Murillo Calderón,Adriana;
Medicina Legal de Costa Rica , 2012,
Abstract: traumatic cervical pathology and its relationship to the work of forensic medicine is of great importance and relevance, especially when it is necessary to make assessments in patients with cervical changes and must be defined if they are in relation to a specific trauma or repetitive in time as may occur in some cases of occupational hazards. the medical examiner must be very well prepared, know the anatomy of the cervical and upper limbs, perform an examination and a thorough neurological physical examination to guide the diagnostic possibilities, it is also fundamental analysis of diagnostic studies. in this particular case there will be a review of cervical radiculopathy, pathophysiology, mechanisms of production and the medico-legal implications when doing the assessment in patients with cervical braquial pain
