Research on Risk Factors Identification of P2P Lending Platforms  [PDF]

Abstract: We take 2259 P2P Lending platforms as the sample, and integrate 14 variables from five dimensions to analyze the risk factors of P2P Lending problematic platforms by binary logistic model. The empirical results show that the 11 variables which are the type of company, platform background, operation time, the type of project, interest rate, fund custody, term of loan, day-bid, transfer of creditor’s rights, automatic bidding and information disclosure, have significant influences on the operating status of the platform, while the other variables such as registered capital, the number of employees and security mechanism have no obvious impact on the operating status of the platform. The results provide a reference for investors and regulators.
Knowledge Mapping Analysis of Finance Research  [PDF]

Abstract: Based on 4158 articles from 9 financial journals during 2009-2013 from Web of Science, we use CiteSpace III to construct the knowledge mapping of finance studies. As a result, the primary research power distribution is shown. Further, finance research hotspots and major research fields are revealed via keywords co-occurrence analysis and references co-citation analysis. The findings show that the United States plays a leading role in the research of finance. There are four major research fields: asset pricing, corporate finance, financial intermediation and investor behavior. The findings will contribute to following the international research frontier and catching research trends.

Abstract: 利用Sato单次散射模型和九江台的近场数字地震记录,研究了九江-瑞昌地震序列尾波Qc值的变化特征,得到Qc值随频率的变化关系为Qc(f)=19.63±4.81f1.1838±0.0945。以2005年12月3日ML3.9地震为分隔点,序列早期时段地震的Q0值随时间的变化起伏较大,平均值相对较高,余震活动水平也较高;而序列后期时段地震的Q0值随时间的变化相对稳定,平均值相对较低,余震活动水平也较低,这种特征有可能意味着九江-瑞昌地震序列将逐渐转入平静时段。

Abstract: Grievous specie noise was taken out by a maximum/median filter and the image sequences at low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) were cumulated using the relativity of target. The SNR. could be improved. A signal processor which can implement the algorithm by FPGA is presented. The experimental results indicate that the method can effectively improve the SNR of image sequences and the platform can implement the method in real time.
Effects of supplemental Chinese herbs on growth performance, blood antioxidant function and immunity status in Holstein dairy heifers fed high fibre diet

Abstract: Two experiments were carried out to investigate the effects of supplemental Chinese herbs, Fructus Ligustri Lucidi (FLL), Radix Astragali (RA) and Radix Codonopsis (RC) on growth performance, blood antioxidant and immune function in Holstein dairy heifers fed high fibre diet. Experiment 1 indicated that the supplementation of the three herbs had no effect on dry matter intake. FLL Supplementation increased heifers average daily gain (ADG), final body weight and feed efficiency. Experiment 2 indicated that FLL supplementation improved the blood antioxidant function with higher concentration of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and lower concentration of malondialdehyde (MDA), and improved immune function with lower concentrations of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and immunoreactive fibronectin (IFN-γ). Addition of FLL increased apparent digestibility of diet’s dry matter and organic matter than the other groups. It was demonstrated that FLL supplementation improved nutrient digestion, feed efficiency, blood antioxidant function, immune and growth performance for Holstein dairy heifers.

Abstract: Mobile payment service is exploding at an impressive rate as the global mobile payment revenue almost tripled over the last five years. But the reasons behind this phenomenon are still not clear. This paper thus focuses on identifying the key factors that contribute to the success of mobile payments. We firstly take a look at the current status of mobile payments. With this brief background in mind, we then address several questions associated with three key actors of mobile payment ecosystem: m-payment service provider, consumer, merchants. Specifically, the business model of mobile payments firms (including value proposition, market contribution, revenue source), consumer preferences and merchant. Conclusions: Mobile payment is gradually developing towards diversification and cross-border integration with highly sophisticated technology behind; the success of mobile payments application is based on aprofitable and valuable business model; in order to gain a competitive advantage when facing with fierce competition in the market, firms should respond best to consumer change and merchant feedback.
A Visible Light Based Indoor Positioning System

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a novel indoor localization scheme that exploits ubiquitous visible lights, which are necessarily and densely deployed in almost all indoor environments. We unveil two phenomena of lights available for positioning: 1) the light strength varies according to different light sources, which can be easily detected by light sensors embedded in COTS devices (e.g., smart-phone, smart-glass and smart-watch); 2) the light strength is stable in different times of the day thus exploiting it can avoid frequent site-survey and database maintenance. Hence, a user could locate oneself by differentiating the light source of received light strength (RLS). However, different from existing positioning systems that exploit special LEDs, ubiquitous visible lights lack fingerprints that can uniquely identify the light source, which results in an ambiguity problem that an RLS may correspond to multiple positions. Moreover, RLS is not only determined by device's position, but also seriously affected by its orientation, which causes great complexity in site-survey. To address these challenges, we first propose and validate a realistic light strength model that can attributes RLS to arbitrary positions with heterogenous orientations. This model is further perfected by taking account of the device diversity, influence of multiple light sources and shading of obstacles. Then we design a localizing scheme that harness user's mobility to generate spatial-related RLS to tackle the position-ambiguity problem of a single RLS, which is robust against sunlight interference, shading effect of human-body and unpredictable behaviours (e.g., put the device in pocket) of user. Experiment results show that our scheme achieves mean accuracy $1.93$m and $1.98$m in office ($720m^2$) and library scenario ($960m^2$) respectively.
Endophytic fungal diversity of five dominant plant species in the dry-hot valley of Yuanjiang, Yunnan Province, China

Abstract: Fungi causing asymptomatic infections in living plant tissues have been called endophytic fungal. They comprise a diverse group of fungi and may protect their host plants against the insect pests and phytopathogens, increase hosts fitness in extreme environments. In order to document the ecological relationship between endophytic fungal and their host plants which grown in hot and dry stressed environments, the endophytic fungal diversity, the dominant fungi and their host specificity of 5 dominant plant species (Atylosia scarabaeoides, Azadirachta indica, Phyllanthus emblica, Broussonetia papyrifera and Sida acuta) which grown in the dry-hot valley of Yuanjiang Yunnan Province, southwest China were studied in present research works. A total of 371 endophytic fungal were isolated from 525 tissue segments of the 5 plant species. The isolation rate was 0.71. The highest isolation rate appeared in S. acuta, it was 0.92, while the lowest isolation rate appeared in A.indica, it was only 0.61. It was found that the isolation rate of leaves endophytic fungal was significantly higher than that of stems (P<0.05) in the 5 plant species. Based on their morphology and the mechanism of spore production, the sporulating isolates were identified to genus level. Non-sporulating isolates were identified as mycelia sterile and sorted into different groups based on the colony surface texture, hyphal pigmentation and growth rates after two months sporulation. The isolated fungi were finally identified to 32 taxa including Phomopsis, Colletotrichum and Alternaria etc. The endophytic fungal richness of the 5 plant species was different. The highest endophytic fungal richness appeared in A. scarabaeoides, from which 20 endophytic fungal taxa were obtained, whereas the fungi from A. indica were just 11 taxa and showed the lowest richness. Each plant species harboured 1 to 2 dominant fungi. The dominant fungi of A. scarabaeoides were Bipolaris sp. and Phomopsis sp., the relative frequency was 38.81% and 14.93% respectively. Phomopsis sp. and an ascomycete species were the dominant fungi of A. indica and P. emblica, the relative frequency of Phomopsis sp. was 12.90% and 40.24%, the relative frequency of the ascomycete was 33.87% and 17.07% respectively. The dominant fungi of B. papyrifera and S. acuta was Phomopsis sp., the relative frequency was 49.25% and 50.54% respectively. The results showed that Phomopsis was the dominant fungi of the dominant plant species in the dry-hot valley of Yuanjiang, Yunnan Province, China, its relative frequency got a range of 12.90% to 50.54%. The diversity index of endophytic fungal from A. scarabaeoides, A. indica, P. emblica, B. papyrifera and S. acuta were 0.77, 0.62, 0.65, 0.82 and 0.90 respectively, and it was little lower than that of some previous reports from tropical plants. Abstract: H.264 video coding standard introduces motion estimation with multiple block sizes to achieve a considerably higher coding efficiency than other video coding algorithms. However, this comes at the greatly increased computing complexity at the encoder. In this paper, a method is proposed to eliminate some redundant coding modes that contribute very little coding gain. The simulation results show that the algorithm can remarkably decrease the complexity at the encoder while keeping satisfying coding efficiency.

Abstract: A method is presented for incrementally computing success patterns of logic programs. The set of success patterns of a logic program with respect to an abstraction is formulated as the success set of an equational logic program modulo an equality theory that is induced by the abstraction. The method is exemplified via depth and stump abstractions. Also presented are algorithms for computing most general unifiers modulo equality theories induced by depth and stump abstractions.
