Aproximaciones a una antropología reflexiva
Alhena Caicedo
Tabula Rasa , 2003,

Abstract:
Un análisis paradigmático de los aportes de F. de Saussure y N. Chomsky al campo de los estudios del lenguaje
SANTOS CAICEDO,DORIS ADRIANA;
Forma y Función , 2005,
Abstract: the author of the article analyzes some contributions of two of the most prominent linguists of the 20th century, ferdinand de saussure and noam chomsky, from a paradigmatic viewpoint of science. the main statement supported here is the evidence, yielded by these contributions, which confirms that linguistics is a mature science in the study of the structure of human language, and also, that there existed a scientific community whose origins account for what could be called the prehistory of linguistics. the author employs for this purpose an argumentative chain which is focused on some core concepts as proposed by thomas kuhn in his book la estructura de las revoluciones científicas.
Análisis textual y representación de eventos sociales: una mirada a dos documentos de política educativa colombiana desde el análisis crítico del discurso*
Santos Caicedo,Doris Adriana;
Forma y Función , 2008,
Abstract: based on a work proposal found in fairclough (2003) for the textual analysis in social investigation, this study deals with the analysis of two decrees issued by the colombian national ministry of education during the stage of contextualization of a critical ethnographic study on the subjective experiences of the autonomy of the teaching and learning processes of a group of colombian college students, professors and administrators. the study also looks both at the lexical choices in the representation of the actors and the social processes included in the decrees and at the level of abstraction or specification of such choices. some of the findings show the absence of the professor (exclusion from the discourse by suppression) as well as the ratification of the student as an object, not as a subject of the educational action (prevalence of nominalization).
Nefropatía por medios de contraste
Aguirre Caicedo,Marcelo;
Acta Medica Colombiana , 2007,
Abstract: nephropathy due to contrast means is an important cause of acute renal failure in the hospital environment, generating hight costs in the health care system, a significant morbidity and considerable mortality, it is considered to be an iatrogenic disorder that produces an absolute increase l (>0.5 mg) or relative increase (>25%) of serum creatinine as compared to the basal pattern and takes place within 24 to 48 hours after exposure to a contrast mean, in absence of another cause of acute renal insufficiency. there are many risk factors that can predispose to its clinical presentation. many preventive strategies have been tried to reduce the load in terms of morbidity and mortality derived from this pathologic condition, however, the results are not encouraging. some of these strategies have been clearly ineffective such as peptide manitol, natriuretic atrial peptide, theophiline, prostaglandin e and endotheline antagonists, whereas others such as furosemide and dopamine are potentially harmful. the evidence supports the use of the intravenous infusion of saline solution 0.9% a icc/kg(hour, 12 hours before and 12 hours after giving the contrast mean, with a strict suveillance of the water balance. on the other hand, the data obtained from clinical trials to assess the effects of n-acetilcisteine in the prevention of nephropathy due to contrast means, are not concluding, (even contradictory); however, the lack of secondary effects and the potential beneficial effect, allows its use on a routine basis as a preventive measure especially in high risk patents. additional to that, if the lack of time does not allow previous hydration, the literature rather supports the use of isotomic intravenous bicarbonate one hour before the procedure, and continuing during 6 hours after it.
Desigualdad salarial en el mercado laboral estadounidense: La situación de los inmigrantes mexicanos, cubanos y centroamericanos
Caicedo Riascos,Maritza;
Gaceta Laboral , 2009,
Abstract: this article analyzes salary differences between the native white, non-hispanic population, afro-north americans and latin american and caribbean immigrants in the united states. the method for decomposition of salary differences developed by oaxaca (1973) is used to establish to what extent the difference is due to differences in human capital among the workers, and to what extent it is due to the differential treatment the market exercises over some workers. results highlight great differences in human capital among the workers, but also, the unequal treatment of the market exercised principally toward some groups of latin american workers.
LA DISCORDANCIA ENTRE EL COMPLEMENTO INDIRECTO Y EL PRONOMBRE áTONO LE, UN FENóMENO EN AUMENTO
Caicedo Villa,Stella;
íkala, Revista de Lenguaje y Cultura , 2011,
Abstract: in this descriptive, comparative and explanatory research, the phenomenon of discordance is examined between the indirect object and the atonic pronoun that doubles it in the sentence, in a corpus taken from the digital version of el colombiano newspaper. with the help of cratylus ? software frequencies of use of the discordance as well as the concordance were found, the grammatical structures of sentences, their grammatical number, the indirect object reference to thing and person was analyzed and finally results were compared. it is concluded that there is not only one explanation for the use of the discordance and probably it is a question of the phenomenon called fossilization. what indeed could be proved is the high frequency of disagreement detected in the cases when the atonic pronoun precedes the direct complement in the sentence.
EL USO RITUAL DE YAJé: PATRIMONIALIZACIóN Y CONSUMO EN DEBATE
CAICEDO FERNáNDEZ,ALHENA;
Revista Colombiana de Antropología , 2010,
Abstract: during the last 15 years or so several cities in colombia such as bogotá, medellín, cali, and pasto have witnessed the appearance and dissemination of ritual practices associated with the consumption of yajé, a psychotropic, traditionally used by several indigenous groups of the amazon region. these practices summon people of different social classes, who accede to these spaces, with different purposes, predominantly therapeutic and spiritual. offered under the label of "indigenous traditional medicine", the ritual consumption of yajé is promoted as a legitimate practice, fruit of a shared cultural inheritance that should be recovered. this article discusses some issues around the question: is it possible to think of the ritual use of yaje as patrimony?

Castillo Caicedo,Maribel;
Cuadernos de Economía , 2007,
