TAM: A method for enrichment and depletion analysis of a microRNA category in a list of microRNAs

Abstract: For the above purpose, this study presents a method and develops a tool (TAM) for annotations of meaningful human miRNAs categories. We first integrated miRNAs into various meaningful categories according to prior knowledge, such as miRNA family, miRNA cluster, miRNA function, miRNA associated diseases, and tissue specificity. Using TAM, given lists of miRNAs can be rapidly annotated and summarized according to the integrated miRNA categorical data. Moreover, given a list of miRNAs, TAM can be used to predict novel related miRNAs. Finally, we confirmed the usefulness and reliability of TAM by applying it to deregulated miRNAs in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) from two independent experiments.TAM can efficiently identify meaningful categories for given miRNAs. In addition, TAM can be used to identify novel miRNA biomarkers. At the posttranscriptional level, miRNAs normally act as negative gene regulators by binding to the 3'UTR of target mRNAs through base pairing, which results in the cleavage of target mRNAs or translation inhibition [1]. Increasing evidences suggest that miRNAs play crucial roles in nearly all important biological processes, including cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, development, and apoptosis [2], and that miRNA dysfunctions are associated with various diseases [3]. Since their discovery, the number of identified miRNAs has been increasing dramatically and various high-throughput techniques related to miRNAs are continuously being developed. Abstract: Based on the adsorption potential theory, this paper processes and analyzes the isothermal adsorption data at different temperatures of four coal samples with different ranks. The research results indicate that the adsorption characteristic curve of methane adsorbed on the coal sample is a single curve, and the mathematical expression of the methane adsorption capacity, temperature and pressure is achieved from the characteristic curve. According to the calculating routine and method presented, the adsorption capacity at other equilibrium conditions can be calculated from the adsorption data of one temperature. The results of this paper are a significant contribution to the research on the storage mechanism of the coalbed methane.
Research on Financial Early Warning of Listed Corporation Based on SOM Fusion BP Neural Network  [PDF]

Abstract: Combining with the special environment of Chinese market, this paper defines the listed Corporation’s financial crisis, and analyzes the shortcomings of the existing financial early warning model. In order to further improve the accuracy of the financial early warning, and adaptively select optimal training samples, short-term forecasting model of listed corporations based on the SOM network fusion BP network is proposed. The model firstly extracts the initial training samples relying on the SOM network and obtains the optimum ST samples and non ST samples in all training samples. Furthermore, the extracted samples are utilized to construct the financial early warning system of five different levels based on SOM network. Finally, the model is compared with other model algorithms. The results show that the financial early-warning model proposed in this paper possesses higher recognition accuracy on short term forecasting and monitoring of enterprise finance compared with other recognition models. Moreover, smaller data size is needed in this model on the premise that the effectiveness is guaranteed. Therefore, the early warning model proposed in this paper can better realize enterprise financial monitoring, so as to effectively prevent and defuse financial risks and crises.

Abstract: The Mei symmetry and Mei conserved quantity of the Nielsen equation for a non-Chetaev-type non-holonomic non-conservative system are studied. The differential equations of motion of the Nielsen equation for the system, the definition and the criterion of Mei symmetry and the condition and the form of Mei conserved quantities deduced directly from the Mei symmetry for the system are obtained. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the application of the results.

Abstract: 梯度矢量流测地线活动轮廓模型作为对测地线活动轮廓模型的重要改进,不仅扩大了测地线活动轮廓模型的适用范围,而且改进了它的分割效果。但由于该模型中推动活动轮廓演化的外部力量来自于梯度矢量流,因此活动轮廓在演化过程中可能会由于弱边缘等因素的影响而陷于不希望的局部最小值。为尽量减少弱边缘对活动轮廓初始位置的限制及其对轮廓演化的不利影响,提出了一种新的辅以区域力量的梯度矢量流测地线活动轮廓模型,该模型首先将基于区域信息的力场与梯度矢量流力场相耦合,然后由以上两种力量构成的耦合力场,使活动轮廓模型能够有效地克服弱边缘的影响而收敛到所期望的边缘。实验结果表明,辅以区域力量的梯度矢量流测地线活动轮廓模型与梯度矢量流测地线活动轮廓模型相比,不仅可以更灵活地设置初始轮廓的位置,而且对弱边缘的干扰也有较好的适应性,并能有效地避免边缘泄漏。

Abstract: In the recent years, object-oriented techniques have become mainstream in software development; however, traditional inheritance-based languages cannot satisfy the dynamic requirement in large application software systems. For that reason, in this paper we introduce a kind of delegate-based implementation method founded on both inheritance and design-pattern. Analysis and experimental results show that the performance of delegate-based implementation method is superior to others.
