Abstract: 针对目前基于统计特征和符号匹配的识别方法对字体较敏感的问题,提出一种基于多特征融合的东亚文种识别算法。该算法首先分析并提取高频形状特征、排版特征以及字符复杂度特征,然后采用模糊集贴近度准则进行识别。实验结果表明,该算法具有较高的识别准确率,并对不同字体具有较强的鲁棒性。
Pumped shot noise in adiabatically modulated graphene-based double-barrier structures

Abstract: Quantum pumping processes are accompanied by considerable quantum noise. We investigated the pumped shot noise (PSN) properties in adiabatically modulated graphene-based double-barrier structures. General expressions for adiabatically PSN in phase-coherent mesoscopic conductors are derived based on the scattering approach. It is found that comparing with the Poisson processes, the PSN is dramatically enhanced where the dc pumped current changes flow direction, which demonstrates the effect of the Klein paradox.

Methylomic Analysis Identifies Frequent DNA Methylation of Zinc Finger Protein 582 (ZNF582) in Cervical Neoplasms

Abstract: Background Despite of the trend that the application of DNA methylation as a biomarker for cancer detection is promising, clinically applicable genes are few. Therefore, we looked for novel hypermethylated genes for cervical cancer screening. Methods and Findings At the discovery phase, we analyzed the methylation profiles of human cervical carcinomas and normal cervixes by methylated DNA immunoprecipitation coupled to promoter tiling arrays (MeDIP-on-chip). Methylation-specific PCR (MSP), quantitative MSP and bisulfite sequencing were used to verify the methylation status in cancer tissues and cervical scrapings from patients with different severities. Immunohistochemical staining of a cervical tissue microarray was used to confirm protein expression. We narrowed to three candidate genes: DBC1, PDE8B, and ZNF582; their methylation frequencies in tumors were 93%, 29%, and 100%, respectively. At the pre-validation phase, the methylation frequency of DBC1 and ZNF582 in cervical scraping correlated significantly with disease severity in an independent cohort (n = 330, both P<0.001). For the detection of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia 3 (CIN3) and worse, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of ZNF582 was 0.82 (95% confidence interval = 0.76–0.87). Conclusions Our study shows ZNF582 is frequently methylated in CIN3 and worse lesions, and it is demonstrated as a potential biomarker for the molecular screening of cervical cancer.

Abstract: HgCdTe-based metal-insulator-semiconductor field effect transistor is fabricated by low-cost liquid phase epitaxy technique. Clear SdH oscillation inρxx and quantum Hall plateaus ofρxy are observed,indicating that it is a good transistor.By measuring the magnetoresistance near zero field,we observe the weak antilocalization effect in our sample,suggesting a relatively strong spinorbit coupling.The experimental data can be well fitted by the ILP theory.The fitting-obtained spin-splitting energy increases with increasing electron concentration,and the maximum reaches up to 9.06 meV.From the obtained spin-splitting energy,we calculate the spin-orbit coupling parameter and find that it increases with increasing electron concentration,which is contrary to the observations in a wide quantum well.

Abstract: The RE-TM antiferromagnetic coupling behavior and magnetization reversal dynamics in passing through the fermimagnetic compensation temperature (Tm) due to laser heating of GeFeCo films are investigated using femtosecond time-resolved pump-probe Kerr spectroscopy. Owing to sample temperature passing through Tm and hence the exchange of net magnetic moment carriers, an abnormal hysteresis loop is observed. The saturation magnetization difference between magnetization states above and below coercive field is found under a same direction of magnetic field, which reveals the incomplete rigid coupling between RE and TM sub-lattices in GdFeCo. A complete ultrafast magnetization reversal and recovery dynamic process is experimentally observed at the saturation magnetic bias on the sample with Al heat sink layer. Besides, by comparing magnetization reversal at saturation magnetic bias with magnetization recovery at remanence, it was found that the magnetic field applied externally does not affect the rate of domain nucleation and growth, but only their magnetization direction.
Willingness to pay to sustain and expand National Health Insurance services in Taiwan

Abstract: A survey was administered to 1800 inpatients and 1800 outpatients, selected from health care facilities across all accreditation levels that were operating under the supervision of six different regional branches of Taiwan's Bureau of National Health Insurance (BNHI). We used a contingent valuation method with closed-ended questions to elicit participants' willingness to pay for continued national heath insurance and additional institutional long-term care services. We divided participants into six subgroups and asked individuals in these groups referendum-like yes-no questions about whether they were willing to pay one of six price bids: New Taiwan Dollar (NT$) 50, NT$100, NT$200, NT$300, NT$400, or NT$500. Logistic regression was used to analyze willingness to pay.We found maximum willingness to pay for continued coverage by the NHI program and additional institutional long-term care services to be NT$66 and NT$137 dollars per month, respectively.We found that people were willing to pay more for their insurance coverage. With regard to methodology, we also found that using a contingent valuation method to elicit peoples' willingness to pay for health policy issues is valid. The results of the present referendum-like study can serve as a reference for future policy decision making.The Taiwan National Health Insurance (NHI) program, which provides comprehensive health care with low premiums and cost sharing, has been one of Taiwan's most popular national policies for almost 12 years. In 2002, national health care expenditure accounted for up to 6.0% of Taiwan's gross domestic product (GDP), which is lower than that of most OECD countries. Abstract: the ceo2-mnox mixed oxides were prepared by deposition-precipitation (dp) and surfactant-templated (cb) methods, and then used as the support of cuo/ ceo2-mnox catalysts. the samples were characterized by means of xrd, bet, h2-tpr, co-tpd and xps. results show that preparation methods of ceo2-mnox support have a direct effect on the physicochemical properties and catalytic activities of cuo/ceo2-mnox catalysts for the co preferential oxidation in h2-rich gases(co prox). cuo/ceo2-mnox (cb) catalyst exhibits higher co conversion and stability in h2-rich gases than cuo/ceo2-mnox (dp), with 100% conversion of co at 140 °c after a temperature cycle, which indicates that ceo2-mnox (cb) as support of cuo based catalyst is more useful for co prox reaction than ceo2-mnox (dp). compared with cuo/ceo2-mnox (dp), there are richer oxygen vacancies and more mn4+ species on the surface of cuo/ceo2-mnox (cb), and stronger interaction between ceo2 and mnox in it. more amounts of active copper species and complicated transfer of electrons density on cuo/ceo2-mnox (cb) also favour the activity of the catalyst.
Effect of strontium ranelate on the bone histomorphometry after weightlessness in rats

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of strontium ranelate(SR) on the bone histomorphometry of tail-suspended rat.Methods Thirty male SD rats(3 months old) were randomly divided into five groups(6 each): rats in SR-1 group underwent tail suspension for 4 weeks and given SR simultaneously.In SR-2 group rats received tail suspension for 4 weeks and given SR thereafter.In SR-3 group rats underwent tail suspension for 4 weeks and given SR during the whole course.In control-1 group rats underwent tail suspension for 4 weeks and not given SR,and in control-2 group rats did not undergo tail suspension and were not given SR.Animals were sacrificed 8 weeks(including 4 weeks of tail suspension) later,and the cancellous bone of upper end of tibia was then analyzed histomorphologically.Results There were no significant differences between control-2 group and the 3 SR groups in static parameters [trabecular bone area(%Tb.Ar),trabecular thickness(Tb.Th),trabecular number(Th.N) and trabecular separation(Tb.Sp)] and dynamic parameters [labeled perimeter(%L.Pm),bone formation rate(BFR/TV),mineral apposition rate(MAR),and osteoclast number(Oc.N)].On then other hand,Tb.Th,Th.N,%Tb.Ar,%L.Pm,BFR/TV and MAR increased,and Tb.Sp and Oc.N decreased in the 3 SR groups compared with those in control-1 group,implying that the bone mass was increased.No significant difference was found in all the parameters mentioned above between the 3 SR groups.Conclusions Strontium ranelate may obviously improve the bone histomorphometry of tail suspended rats,and have an effect on preventing osteoporosis caused by agravity.
