RESONANCE-ENHANCED MULTIPHOTON IONIZATION SPECTRA OF THE HALOGEN ATOMS

Abstract: The resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI) spectra of atomic chlorine and bromine in the range of 230-245 nm and 250-285 nm were obtained by using REMPI and time of flight (TOF) techniques. There are twenty -six lines for Cl and twenty-three for Br in the spectra, among which five transitions of Cl and four of Br are observed for the first time. These lines are due to transitions from the Cl(3p 2P03/2, 2P01/2) and Br(4p2P03/2, 2P01/2) states to upper states induced by two-photon excitation. It is found that the Stark shift of different excited states are almost the same, and they are independent of the S, L, and J quantum numbers of the excited state.

Abstract: A simplified one-dimensional model was proposed to treat the gas dynamic problems in a supersonic jet, which was used to produce radicals cooled by supersonic expansion, Based on this model, the gas dynamic equations can be integrated directly to obtain the evolution or the translational temperature and the rotational temperature of free radicals as well as the molecule density. The results show that the heating position where the radicals are generated and the initial rotational temperature of radicals have little effect on the rotational temperature at the down stream detection point, if the heating position is close to the nozzle orifice.

Abstract: 利用可调谐染料激光,对PCl3在265—285nm范围内的光解机理进行了研究.发现在265—285nm范围内光解PCl3所获得的荧光发射谱基本相同,但在强度上有较大差别.在389,431和488nm处观察到明显的荧光发射,这些荧光来自PCl3双光子解离产生的碎片PCl激发态的发射.其中488nm处的荧光来自PCl(A→X)的跃迁,而389和431nm处的荧光可能来自PCl的尚未报道过的一新的单重态PCl(c?→a,b)的跃迁.

Abstract: The laser-induced fluorescence excitation spectra of jet-cooled CuF have been recorded in the range of 19000-21470cm^{-1}, in which the CuF radicals were produced by the reaction of SF_6 with copper atoms from a dc discharge-sputtering source under supersonic jet conditions. Eight observed vibronic transition bands have been assigned as the transition from the ground state X(^1Σ^+) to B(^1Σ^+), C(^1Π) and an unreported upper state. The rotational structure of all observed bands has been analysed at the estimated rotational temperature 80K. We determined the newly observed band to be the (^1Π, v=1)-X(^1Σ^+v=0) transition according to the character of the rotational structure and the isotopic shift analysis. In addition, the lifetimes of the states involved in these bands were measured.

Abstract: 用VUV同步辐射辐照在连续的超声射流冷却束中产生的(CH3I)n(n=1,2,3,4)团簇分子,通过测量其光电离及解离电离产生的各种离子的光电离效率(PIE)曲线,获得了(CH3I)n+(n=1,2,3,4)的绝热电离势及各种碎片离子的出现势,估算了有关分子的键能.在CH3I+的PIE曲线上观察到CH3I分子的自电离结构,并对其进行了标识,归属为收敛于CH3I+(2E1/2)态的4组Rydberg系,即ns,npσ,npπ和nd.

Abstract: 报道在超声射流冷却条件下用同步辐射VUV光源研究CH2Br2的振动自电离结构.根据测量的105—123nm范围内母体离子(CH2Br2+)的光电离产率曲线,获得CH2Br2的绝热电离势为10.23±0.01eV.CH2Br2+的最低三个电子激发态,即A(2A2),B(2B1),C(2A1)分别位于10.78±0.01eV,11.20±0.01eV和11.27±0.01eV.在115.01—121.15nm范围内,观察到CH2Br2自电离峰叠加在若干台阶结构上,台阶平均宽度为716.8±40.0cm-1,对应于CH2Br2+(X2B2)中Br-C-Br反对称的伸缩振动(v9),所有的峰均归属为收敛于CH2Br2+(X2B2,v+)振动能级的ns,np和nd自电离Rydberg态.此外,对CH2Br2光解离电离产生离子型自由基CH2Br+(X)的光电离产率曲线的结构也进行了归属

Abstract: Enhanced TK-EGFP expression was confirmed by fluorescent microscopy, real time PCR and telomerase activity. Its effects were examined by survival of tumor cells NPC 5-8F and MCF-7, index of xenograft implanted in nude mice and histology.Compared with non-enhanced vector pGL3-basic-TK-hTERTp-EGFP, TK expressed by the enhanced vector significantly decreased NPC 5-8F and MCF-7 cell survival rates after ganciclovir (GCV) treatment (p < 0.001) and tumor progress in nude mice with NPC xenograft and treated with GCV, without obvious toxicity to mouse liver and kidney.The enhanced TK expression vector driven by hTERTp with CMV enhancer has brighter clinical potentials in nasopharyngeal carcinoma therapy than the non-enhanced vector.Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is one of highly prevalent, most harmful malignant tumors in Southern China and Southeast of Asia. It is caused by the interaction between genetic background and environmental factors such as Epstein-Barr virus. At present, radiotherapy and/or induction chemotherapy is the mainstay of treatment modalities. Despite continuously progress in radiotherapeutic equipment and technology, the 5-year survival rate of NPC remains about 50% without fundamental improvement over the past several decades. Understanding the etiology and developing new effective therapeutic modality are particularly important in NPC treatment.Suicide gene therapy is a promising modality for cancer treatment. Such therapy introduces a drug susceptible gene such as herpes simplex virus thymidine kinase (TK) gene into tumor cells. Expressed TK phosphorylates its substrate, a nontoxic prodrug ganciclovir (GCV), leading to accumulation of the toxic ganciclovir triphosphate and cell apoptosis. The ideal suicide gene expression constructs should have high specificity and killing efficacy to tumor cells.
